Went here for a birthday celebration and were very disappointed. We had two servers who weren't communicating with each other. Caesar salad was warm and wilted, virtually inedible. Wine was warm and, after the first pour, we had to pour our own. Entrees were so-so at best. All this, and very hefty prices. Won't be back.

Had dinner at Richard Fiske's on Saturday Nov 15th. Chose the place to take an overseas guest based on reviews on Open Table and availability, and specifically to have some live music during dinner. The restaurant was very kind to accelerate our booking by 30 mins when I called them to see if we could come early. Initially our table was still being used but I was called back within 5 mins that it had freed up. This was much appreciated. Once into the restaurant the ambiance was a bit lacking. There was no "buzz" and with the pianist in a different room (the bar) the impact of the live music was also limited. It is relatively dark but not so atmospheric. Overall the experience was a little disappointing, mainly due to food. Nothing really wrong with it (except maybe too much seasoning) but just not remarkable in any way. There is much better food to be had in New Orleans. My wife did mention the Martini she had was very good. Service was attentive but a bit amateurish. At some point we were asked 3 times within 5 minuters how everything was - I appreciate the concern but this was quite disruptive to the conversation. Overall not a place I will come back too.

Dinner was OK. Nothing great but not bad either. Gumbo was excellent but some of the plates were too salty while others were bland. One guest said his scallops were bitter. My steak was juicy and done well and the side of asparagus was perfect. Overall it was just another average restaurant.

We arrived at Richard Fiske's Martini Bar & Restaurant a little earlier than our reservation so we decided to sit in the bar and partake in the Happy Hour $3 martini's. There were about 5 or 6 people in the bar and it took us quite a while to be served. We had to ask the bartender what the happy hour specials were and he did not seem to enthused to have to leave from behind the bar to get our drink orders. We had our drinks then proceeded to our table. Our waiter was very attentive and very accommodating. Food was ok, two of us had the Cajun scallops and crab beignets and one had the burger. The scallops were fresh and tasted good. The crab beignets were greasy. It was a ok dining experience, but a place I would probably not dine again

RF's was an outstanding resturant that had its own New Orleans personality. It's upscale dining area allow conversations without shouting but yet there was live Jazz in the bar that gave a fun upbeat to the entire place. The martini's from the bar were made with skill and not just a quick version pushed out. The BBQ shrimp with smoked guoda grits were outstanding. I ended the evening with the chocolate pate that was as rich as it gets! RF's gets two thumbs up from this foodie!

I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant...did not know it existed and I live in the quarter; nevertheless it was a very good experience. I had the steak and it was extremely flavourful and tender...my drink - Kir Royale was to die for. Our waiter was professional yet friendly and his service was exceptional. I will be back and I will definitely recommend. Sorry did not get to try the martinis - seem to be quite the variety. Oh before I forget, I enjoyed the music very much

We had a wonderful meal in the re-located restaurant on Dauphine. The service was impeccable, the ambiance was understated elegance. The food was great. Portions were large and well done. I had the rack of lamb - done to perfection, seared on outside with what, I believe, was a spice pepper rub. Mashed potatoes were excellent. It was nice to see they respected that mashed should be a little lumpy and not have "things" added. This was one of the best meals we had, glad we tried it. Will be back again.

Ok, I am a foodie and wine snob. The dinner was good, not great or outstanding. There are so many restaurants in New Orleans, I would try someplace else. If you are staying at the hotel by all means try it. There was a guy playing piano, he was good. I guess what I am saying is nothing stood out to be exceptional but everything was good.

My wife and I are there on a Monday evening. The bar was busy, but the restaurant nearly empty. Our excellent experience left us wondering why. We started with salads. Her iceberg wedge came with a balsamic vinegar reduction, leading her to comment that she had never had such a good wedge. My house salad was also excellent. The steak we shared was perfectly cooked, and arrived at the table very hot, indicating an attentive waiter coordinating with the kitchen. Sides were simarly well prepared. Lime ice cream dessert had flecks of candied lime peel- great texture and flavor. Piano in the nearby bar enhanced the atmosphere. Signage made the place hard to find, but worth looking for.

The only reason I am rating this at a 4 star is essentially the Ambiance, the place was empty and we were jambed in a corner with dead flowers on the table. Other than that the food was absolutely wonderful, in fact it beat out the Rib Room hands down and Dickie Brennans!! The only other reason was that our poor server was the only one their for the entire restaurant.

I was a little worried that it would be too loud for a meeting and most reviews described it as romantic. I took a chance and glad I did. The seating was in the rear where you could still hear the piano in background without it overcasting your thoughts or words. The romantic part came in handy as we were at a table that allowed us non-interrupted discussions with great lighting. The piano room is dark with candles.. but we weren't in that setting. The martini list is incredible. I and the cucumber-tini which was crisp and refreshing following with a wedding cake-tini--white chocolate Godiva liquor with graham cracker rim. The food was delicious as well. The crab fondue, 8 oz. filet , with shrimp and cheese grits. My client was impressed.

This club changed location and it's name in the past month. At the old location they were the Bombay Club, and it was a happening place with great food, good music, cozy atmosphere. The food is still superb--nothing changed. But on the Sunday night we dined, the place was empty. Seems their following hasn't followed. But my major annoyance was the music. One very fine musician playing with a band in a box. If I want karaoke I'll go to places that feature it (which I never do). But to advertise "live jazz" and the present most of the band on tracks, is cheesy and beneath the reputation of this place. And for musicians who follow this go it alone route, it's a kind of prostitution. You are selling out the music business.

A relatively new restaurant in the Holiday Inn in the French Quarter. Centrally located. Food outstanding. The server needed to better trained. She was pleasant but didn't know the exact price of a glass of wine. $10 or $12 per glass or something like that, she said. Happy Hour in the bar from 3pm-6pm is a real deal complete with $2 bar food and $3 martinis. Overall we liked it!

A well rounded experience. The curtained private booths are a real delight! Low lit and classy with relaxed and fun undertones. This place makes you feel like you stepped into a secret super club or that you scored your own little spot at a private party. There is even a little outdoor courtyard. Wonderful food and fantastic music in the SAME place! One nice touch was the thick, drink menu book, quite the selection of classics and new creations, sweet and savory. Martini with Stilton blue cheese stuffed olives? Yes please. Service was on point. We each ordered something different so we could try as much as possible..but we later learned that the chef does offer a tasting menu and I think we will do that next time.

My boyfriend and I planned a getaway to New Orleans, and were determined to have a romantic night out for dinner. Beyond impressed with the Bombay Club's website, we booked a reservation, requesting one of the private booths, which we were accommodated with. The ambiance and entertainment were great upon arrival, our servers knowledgeable, and the martini list was an entire experience in itself! We tried the raspberry martini, the Gibson, and the breathless; all exceeded expectation. When the food came, we couldn't get enough of any one dish. Thoroughly impressed and satisfied! Would recommend to anyone looking for romantic ambiance, private dining and delicious food!

At first glance, we thought the Bombay Club was going to be overpriced and a little stuffy. We were pleasantly surprised at how friendly the staff was, we seated in a cozy booth, very romantic. The cocktails were well crafted and most of the food was really good with the exception of the shepards pie, a bit to thin and topped with what I believe was instant mashed potatoes. The praline and banana creme brûlée was the best I've ever had!

Yet again, restaurant staff did not read the note/guest comment. Led to the maître d' arguing that we did not have a reservation. He showed us the computer screen and guess what?...there it was. Then sat us at a tablet, not a booth as requested. Then scolded us for not pre-ordering lobsters. Did not know I had to and was not asked to order when restaurant called to verify reservation. All entrees arrived at different times; brussel sprouts terrible; asparagus so-so; fries very good. Others in my party may return, but I will not.
