Ricciuti's RestaurantAnother memorable eveningLong a favorite haunt for us, we chose Ricciuti's yet again for our anniversary dinner. We experienced the patio dining though for the first time. Quite a treat. Very relaxing even though not that far from a busy road. The balmy evening definitely helped the atmosphere. Everyone around us seemed to be having a good time. The oysters appetizer, lasagna entree, bread pudding dessert, bread and butter, and $7 glasses of Gewurztraminer were amazingly good. My wife and I though both found the supposedly popular chicken, mozzarella cheese, pasta entree ho hum. Service was friendly and attentive. All the dishes were very fresh and tasty, and the service was super-friendly. Vegetarians in our group had many choices, including pizza, calzone and lasagna. We all enjoyed our food, and we thought it was very sweet that my niece was treated to a free dessert in honor of her graduation. Our salads and an order of the organic swiss chard were so fresh and crisp it was like the greens were picked from a garden outside the restaurant. The flavor of the bison burger was beyond comparison. Finally, the gluten free menu is extensive and a veggie pizza from the wood-burning stove was delicious. This restaurant is clearly distinctive in the area and great for those who want delicious fresh, local food. Order one of each and share with a friend. When the weather is nice, it is great to sit outside. The service is attentive and the waitress even gave our group of 7 individual checks. We sat upstairs and it was quiet. Several of us had the salads, one person had the bison burger and others had a soup and sandwich. Everyone was pleased with their order. Portions are more than ample. All of the dessert had dairy in them so I skipped them but they sounded really yummy.

Portions were adequate for sharing. Two of our group had the always-excellent pizza. One of us had a bison-burger and the other had the bison steak which were both tasty. The steak was served on a delicious sauce. Dessert was nice chocolate pizza and a caramel sundae concoction that was delicious.
