  • "There were three in our group that dined at Ricardo's. The special that was halibut. Two of us had the halibut, and the other person had the prime rib steak. The two of us that had the halibut did comment that portion of halibut was quite small, and even the portion of vegetables was small. We shared the tiramisu for dessert which we all agreed was decadent. Overall everything was delicious, and the service was excellent."

  • "2nd visit to Ricardo's. First was a 10. Absolutely delicious food. We were so impressed the first time we took our neighbors, who heard our rave reviews and they wanted to try it. It was Good, but not what we expected. The ladies both had the pork tenderloin, however, it was dry with not enough sauce. The men had the blackened prime rib, but we are not sure what cut of prime rib it was...it was fair. We will go back, to give it ONE more try...We drove from Kelowna, it is a bit of a distant for just GOOD. Thank you!"

  • "I was looking forward to my requested quiet corner to have a romantic birthday dinner with my partner. We were place about 6 inches from another couple and 6 feet from a loud entertainer. I wanted to leave immediately upon seeing our table but my partner was too kind to leave. the wine and food were good but i will not go back. The music was too loud for the small space. This used to be a great restaurant but i feel that they went after cash instead of quality by adding too many tables."

  • "This was my first time at Ricardo's and it was such a pleasant surprise. We received a table right up front as requested, close to the entertainment James Gordon (who was fantastic). He was the reason we were attending, however, we were so pleasantly surprised to find that the food was great the service was great and the whole experience was well worth the drive. We came from Summerland and found the place easy to find, however, were a little confused at the end of the evening trying to get back out. No one informed us that the gated community gate would open as we approached it and we had to ask for help. All in all a wonderful evening and I would recommend the entertainment and restaurant to anyone who asks."

  • "Disappointed after looking forward to a special evening out for my son's Birthday. Appetizer portions were skimpy, cold and over-priced ...very disappointing. Entrees and desserts were similar. All were not special enough to warrant the prices charged, especially the Lobster Pasta (WHICH WAS NOT LOBSTER) but Langoustines, a cousin to Crayfish, definitely NOT what was advertised. The servers were trying very hard to please. However, the Chef/Owner needs to be criticized for his over ambitious menu and ridiculous prices."

  • "Great Valentines Evening, the entertainment was outstanding and food above average. But serious work needs to be done on the table ambiance and serving etiquette of the staff. Our table was worn (finish worn right off) and in a poor location by the door. If you are not using table cloths then make sure the table is attractive! Serving staff were rushy and clearly not career servers. For $170 meal I would expect better. The noise level from neighboring tables made it almost impossible to have a conversation, however boorish behavior from locals can't be controlled."

It took away from my experience of a relaxing evening and being able to talk easily.   • "I had a caesar salad, the lettuce was limp and seemed not very fresh. The dressing, while tasty, did not overcome the poor quality of the greens, Also the croutons were not very good either. I had a spaghetti with bacon,the sauce was too salty, but that may be my fault as I forgot to ask for no olives. The service was good, but could have been improved by a little more attention after the meal was served. My partner had prime rib, her meal was superb. We like dining here, and will return."

  • "We met a couple in Belize on a catamaran cruise a month ago. They came to stay at the resort next to Ricardo's in order to ski Silverstar and Big White. We were finally able to catch up to them on their last night before returning to Daytona Beach. The obvious dinner destination was Ricardo's - their first visit there. This treasure is a must if you have company visiting the area It was like having guests at home (only with servants) - the restaurant is warm and inviting, the service pleasant and responsive and the menu is always wonderful. A martini before Cajun prime rib with the house wine followed by espresso and Oban neat - a wonderful dinner with new friends."

  • "The music was so loud that it drowned any conversation Drinks we ordered were good. We ordered salmon that came with very unappetizing rice and vegetables both side dishes could have more effort put in to the preparation. The pasta dish could have done without the inferior "tiny canned" shrimp. The gnocchi had gummy texture, not home made, land where did the gorgonzola cheese go to? Dim lights are OK but not so low that takes away from the visual enjoyment of the meal. However in this case it's just as well. Regards"

To finish we had the tiramisu for dessert which was lite and flavorful . All the while a sultry singer entertained us! I would highly recommend this for an night out with your friends or spouse!"
