  • "The food was good, but not outstanding. The menu was limited. We started with the Brie with roasted garlic and naan bread which we thought was really terrific. The main course of langostini lobster was alright but not something you would talk about the next day. I thought the price of $50 a plate was expensive for what we had. That included a bottle of good wine among 4 people."

  • "The ambiance was perfect for a night to celebrate, and as always the food was great. we werre sat over the air conditioning duct which cause a little discomfort so we blocked it off. The service was very polite and well mannered if a touch slow. All in all an excellent dining experience."

Brad, Mike, & Brandon truly are "three of the best musicians in one band". What a fantastic way to spend an evening! And, definitely DO NOT miss dessert--fresh & fabulous!!"

For example, waiting several minutes before we were asked if we wanted anything to drink and then several more while we waited for our waitress to return. During much of this time, we could see her not doing anything. Appetizers and main courses were fine and desserts great, but apathetic service marred meal."

  • "This is my second time. The first time I had charcuterie/spaghetti/tiramisu. It was great. Charcuterie is so great I think it should be on the menu. Second time mussels/linguini/tiramisu. Every time is consistently great. The second time was a celebration dinner with my executive chef from the Sheraton. We were celebrating our menu launch. Instead of an un known place i suggested ricardos as I knew it would be amazing. Serious compliments to the chef/owner. As one chef to another I seriously admire the ambiance and absolute quality of your food. Can't beat passion and love in food. It shows. best tiramisu in the Okanagan. Ps. It must be the rum :). I will keep coming back. Thank you for being here."

What we couldn't eat, they packed it up for us and it was a second meal the next day. The staff are professional and do a great job! Highly recommend!"

  • "This is a little gem hidden in a quiet corner of Lake Country! We had asked for a window table. In addition they choose a quiet corner with comfortable arm chairs. The service was prompt with an appropriate amount of suggestions and interaction. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dinner and dessert choice. We were happy friends encouraged us to dine here! It was one of the dining highlights of our vacation."

  • "When locals found out we were staying at the Holiday Park Resort, they all recommended we eat at "Ricardo's"! We finally made a reservation (while on the golf course) for the last evening of an enjoyable holiday in Kelowna. It was as good as they all said, and we really enjoyed the variety of pasta's and seafood dishes, all very, very tasty! And from former restaurateurs ourselves, we appreciated the "family" atmosphere you and your staff present. Great finish, THANKS for a memorable meal! "

  • "I was a tad overdressed as I had read "fine dining" but can one ever be overdressed? When the food came I was amazed at the flavor of the coconut curried mussels. The blackened prime rib steak was one of the best I ever had and so I bought the cookbook. I noticed the chef walking around the restaurant talking to some tables and although he did not stop by ours I thought it a nice touch. We took my mother and father in-law back for dinner two days later. Thank you Ricardo's for a wonderful meal! Twice!"

  • "What a great place for dinner! We ate on the patio, which was decorated in a whimsical fashion. The service was great and the food was amazing. I had the pasta jambalaya and my 10 year old daughter had the salmon with fruit salad, she ate every bite! The staff was friendly and patient with our large group including 3 kids that had been traveling all day and weren't on their best behaviour. I can't wait to go back there again. I'm still dreaming of the amazing food."

  • " Ricardo's seems to have taken a turn for the worse this season. In previous years, we have enjoyed italian-inspired dishes in their mediterranean-like setting but this season they have already struck out twice. Our salmon was so dry and overcooked as to be barely edible, the beets in the tomato and beet salad seemed canned or bottled rather than fresh, the rice was dry and hard (undercooked) and presented in a "can" shape - stiff, compact and round a la cafeterias of yesteryear. With all the fresh ingredients available in the Okanagan and the increasing culinary sophistication of restaurants in the surrounding areas, they would be well-advised to up their game if they want to continue to attract customers. "

  • "We had a reservation for 10 people. We have a place at Holiday Resort and were going to show this group our place and a great place to eat. Two of us ordered Chicken Parmesan and the chicken was hard to cut and when I put a piece in my mouth I had to spit it out. When I flipped over the chicken it was totally black from being burnt as was the other person's meal. A manager came over and apolized and said he would make another one but shortly after came around again saying they had no more chicken. So he brought over a half order of spaghetti and meatballs. Every one had finished eating and had to watch me eat and wait for me. I had heard that the food was very good here. Hopefully they were just having a bad night. My meal was taken off"

  • "Group of 10 met for dinner after elaborate wedding proposal. Service was not up to par, had to ask waitress to clear plates and refill drinks. Food was OK... but for the price we expected a lot more. Our final bill was $533 which included the automatic 18% gratuity. We are the first to pay for good food and good service, but we did not experience either. We went as far as emailing management with our concerns and telling them about our experience (or lack of). Gave them over a week to respond to our concerns before filling out this survey, but they did not respond and obviously do not care about our return business. Most disappointing item was that we had heard such great reviews but after this experience, we wont be back. "

  • "Your appetizers and salad were very good. I also ordered the salmon entree but found the fish was overcooked and dry though the type of salmon you use was good. The Pernod cream sauce from my prawn appetizer made the salmon more palatable when I thought to combine them. The complimentary brandy for the birthday boy in our party was very thoughtful of your staff and greatly appreciated. Thank you!"

  • "Hoped for a quiet dinner for our anniversary, but the place was jump in'. Way too crowded and noisy and we felt we were being rushed to make room for the next group. May be ok for a quick bite if you are in a hurry or want a group party, but stay away if you want relaxed dining or intimacy"
