I booked this restaurant on Open Table for June 26, but one my friends and I arrived, the restaurant was not open yet and was having a private tasting for their executives. We were very disappointed! We also questioned why Ricards was accepting reservations on Open Table?

The restaurant was closed for remodeling but Open Table still allowed us to make reservation online. Very disappointed when we showed up for dinner with friends.

We met a friend here for dinner during a recent vacation. My kids were welcome (they're quiet and drew the whole time anyway) and the wait staff was really friendly but we were not wowed by the food. I had a burger which was interestingly plated but nothing super special. My husband didn't really like the fish either (they were out of salmon and replaced it with a white (meh) fish). The brussel sprouts and french fries were awesome. The kids menu was typical diner fare -- my son begged to order a salad instead. It was pricey but not outrageous given where we were (a ski resort). However, given the prices, we would have liked better food. Being at the end of the season during the week, it was really quiet and empty, but we didn't mind.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2011

This is Ricard's first year of operation, replacing the former Sneaky's Tavern. It is conveniently located near the Treehouse. The fare is "rustic French." The hostess was very accommodating since I had inadvertently made the reservation for the following night. Service was sincere but slow. They were out of the wine we ordered, so we had to select another as there was no comparable price point -- which reflects a limited wine list. We then waited ten minutes to get the wine. We ordered then had to make another selection when the waiter returned to advise that one of our selections wasn't available. He was apologetic and offered to comp dessert. Everyone agreed that the food was fairly good, but nothing exceptional.

Our children enjoyed the freshly made bread and it kept them occupied. My husband had the fish special and I had a seafood dish prepared in a pot. Both we're amazing! We have been trying hard to recreate the French martini with zero luck. Would love to know how to make it the way their mixologist does. Highly recommend.

Way overpriced. Food just OK. Presentation difficult to eat. Service charge of 18% was automatically added for a party of 4. 2 beef burgers, 2 glasses of red wine and 1 dessert was $93.30 . Never going back.

Ricard was pretty good. Our server was great, the menu was good. Delivery was good with the exception of all of the soups being delivered cold. The server did comp the one that we complained about. The problem is the prices. To put it succintly, they are charging 5 star prices for a 3.5 star experience. I understand this is Aspen, but the pricing is way off the mark even for a ski resort. If you want to go there, I would suggest you try it soon. They won't make it until summer with the prices they are charging.
