I was Very Disappointed with this restaurant. The food was only average, the waiter was inattentive and I was charged for refills on Iced Tea, which is unusual for a full service restaurant. I left a 15% tip, which I felt was more than generous in light of the lackluster service and the waiter had the audacity to complain that most people leave at least 18%. A Tip is a gratuity which is GIVEN (its not a Charge) based on the service. The service was substantially below normal for a restaurant of this price range. There were no obvious excuses. It was not crowded. The waiter was busy talking among themselves and not attentive to the customers' needs. I would not return.

I tried Rialto for the first time on a Friday night. Our service was terrible. Our waiter seemed to have forgotten about our food and looked generally overwhelmed. One couple left after being seated for ten minutes without being approached at their table. When my food finally came it was tepid while my friend's was piping hot. I will never go again. It took them at least 10 minutes to reheat it. I was surprised because it got really solid reviews on Open Table.

I took my friend to Rialto for a surprise birthday dinner and the staff, food and environment was perfect. The meals were served in a timely manner, the wait staff was friendly and a slice of birthday cake was presented to my friend complete with a lit candle! We enjoyed every minute of the experience and as a physician/professor, I will definitely spread the word in my circles and to my family and friends.

Met a friend for dinner and we both enjoyed the evening. It wasn't too crowded because it was a Sunday evening; this allowed us to have a conversation without having to raise our voices -- it's unfortunate that more restaurants don't afford us this opportunity. The food, service and ambiance were very good.

I came here when it first opened and I think the food was better. I know they recently changed chefs and the entire menu since before it was tapa style. Service was good and has always been quick and attentive. It's a great spot when nothing else is really open and you want small bites and drinks.

Menu was just right-not too much, and everything was delicious. Service was friendly but didn't interfere with our conversation. We were a group of 7 and they were very accommodating. Interesting bathroom decor and layout. I'd go back when in the area.

Pretty much empty, while outside Georgetown's streets were packed with people. It was hard to miss the music- it was turned up far too loud. One expects Italian music at an Italian restaurant, but no, Rialto says "AMERICAN JAZZ". The food came out fast (which is a weird complaint)... But at a nice Italian restaurant I want to wait for the food. I want to think they are spending time preparing the dish. When the food did reach my mouth, I was disappointed in the Pesto , as well as the Ravioli that layed underneath the pesto. 6 raviolis is a tiny portion for $17. My dates Gnocchi with pesto was overcooked and bland. I would only reccomend this place to someone who has an abundance of cash and thinks "how can I waste my money?".

We have been to this restaurant once in April & came back because the food was really good back then but this time the whole menu was changed& not in a good way. They took off the list their most delisious foods, the manager kept looking at our table so we can leave & they can take other customers. Even though we were not sitting there for 2 hours & drinking tea , we still need to finish our food. Pizza was ok , the sea food pasta i could make better myself! I think all the stars are for tiramisu which was good! Not going bak again

My wife and I went to Rialto for dinner. Although the food was good, it was not memorable. The food seemed to be overpriced as secondi ravioli was $24 and came as a small serving. Also, $6 for a bottle of water. My pizza was a tad too plain with an overpowering serving of cheese and not many toppings. Pizza left a lot to be desired. The next night we went to a restaurant further away called Acqua Al 2. The night was more memorable and the food was amazing!! All I could say was Wow. Almost like a night and day difference in the food taste and experience between the 2 meals (RIALTO good vs ACQUA AL 2 - absolutely amazing)

4 of us went for a girls night out on Saturday. Waited 15 mins for a server and when he finally came to our table he just said "are you ready to order?". Well yes, maybe some drinks first? 20 mins later our drinks arrived and the waiter says again "are you ready to order?". OK got it, you just want our order. So as we were trying to place the food order he kept looking around the restaurant and we couldn't even tell if he was getting the order he seemed so desperate to get! The food was quite good, although the server never came back to check on us until it was time for dessert. Given our bill was over $350 I would hope for better service. I REALLY want to like this place-I'm hoping they will try to improve so we can give it another chance.

Having lived in Georgetown for the past five years I've been underwhelmed by the restaurant options. I hosted a "girls night" at Rialto and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. We were visiting DC with another family and the restaurant was recommended to us by our concierge. the restaurant is kid friendly and the service was good although a bit rushed. We sat downstairs which was a bit loud and tough to hear each other. I agree with some of the reviews, the food is average at best. My puttanesca lacked the punch of flavor, the calamari was just ok, my husband's fish was bland. Vibrant bar scene but wouldn't go back for the food.

My family and I were visiting from New Jersey. Made reservations on a Friday night. Place was about half full. We were seated upon arrival. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The was average to bad. Pizza was the best item we had. Calamari was ok, had better at local pizzerias. My wife ordered orichetti with sausage and broccoli rabe which had no flavor at all. The burrata I ordered tasted like it was frozen. My daughter's ravioli were over cooked. The vodka drink I ordered had almost no vodka in it. In all, a nice place with bad food.
