Diner Reviews
  • "My husband and I (ages 36 and 44) went to dinner here on a Saturday night. The crowed was more of a "senior" crowd. The service was prompt and friendly. We ordered the tuna carpaccio (great), the gnocchi (too soggy), Oso bucco (great) and the branzino with shrimp (branzino was great but the shrimp were over cooked). Based on the reviews I was expecting a bit more, but overall we enjoyed our meal."

  • "The food and service were very good to outstanding. The proprietor and staff are caring and accomodating. Our party of 4 ordered 4 different appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The entrees and desserts were outstanding. The appetizers were outstanding except for the baked clams appetizer which would have been great except for the strange sauce on top."

  • "Rialto is a restaurant that consistently pleases, whether it is a casual lunch or special dinner, whether you order from the daily specials or from the menu you will find you cannot go wrong. Delicately seasoned and perfectly cooked fish, delicious sauces for your pasta, the kitchen produces a wonderful meal at any time."

  • "My wife and I returned to Rialto after several years. We were celebrating our 45th anniversary. We met the new owner and chef. Food was excellent. I had duck and my wife branzino. Service was friendly, attentive and correct. We were very pleased we'd come back."

  • "Food and service were very good. A very pleasant dining experience. This restaurant is a gem."

  • "The food was of very good quality but it lacked imagination. I did not have anything that I could say "wow, I never tasted anything this good". The food and the place were pleasant but for a $180 tab I expected more."

  • "First time to Rialto. Won't be last. Enjoyed the food and service. Pasta is homemade. Duck was excellent. Overall a really nice dining experience."

  • "This was our first time here and everything was wonderful. The clams, fish, pasta, you name it. I was very happy with the food quality and taste. The only concern was that we had an open table reservation, but we had to wait a half hour to be seated. We weren't a regular, but wonder if that would have helped. Overall, a great new find."

  • "We were a party of six. The service was very attentive and everyone in the party enjoyed their dinner. We all ordered different meals and salads. This is definitely a restaurant that is nearby where I live and am looking forward to returning to."

  • "Not a typical Italian-Continental restuarant where the menu is the same old thing. Soo many choices and all the choices are frsh and vibrant ! Besides the pleniful menu, I can never wait to hear the specials for the night. Have never been disappointed with either the food or the service. "

  • "Warm and welcoming, innovative and delicious, comfortable and cozy... Rialto has become our favorite not-so-secret place for dinner. Husband and wife, Tara and Mario Fuentes, have brightened the ambiance and changed up their beyond soul satisfying classical menu to add trendy healthy choices like kale salad and zucchini lasagna. Every dish is made to order and graciously presented. Favorites include Dover sole meunière, double cut pork chop, tuna carpaccio and almond crusted chicken breast. In the last few months we've brought several friends to share our "find" and every single one has thanked us! "

  • "Not what she used to be... In the past, a very polished operation and excellent for special occasions. This time, I sat with four guys in shorts who had just walked off the golf course. Never again. "

  • "We went for the first time to Rialto to celebrate my birthday. When you walk in there is an immediate feeling of warmth and welcoming. The hostess was very nice and our server was great! The food was outstanding from start to finish! It was a wonderful meal and a memorable experience. Would definitely come again an already recommended it to friends."

  • "Took a college friend here for lunch. Ordered from the daily specials and had a meal of delicious flavors from salad appetizer, main course and the house special dessert. The chef/owner produces meals with delicate seasoning and ample sized portions. I had eaten there before but this was my friend's first time. His comments: The next time, would you mind if we came back here when it's my treat? "

  • "It gets a #10 rating in all aspects of dining. It's my favorite place to dine in Nassau County. The food is exquisite and delicious and the service is impeccable. Great ambiancee and low noise level."

  • "Restaurant not crowded during the week ... however, one table was extremely noisy ... and, unfortunately, made for a rather unpleasant experience since two of the people had a hearing problem. Food excellent ... service a little off with waiter not knowing who got what dish and putting the wrong food on my plate. Very expensive."

  • "Me and my girlfriend first went here initially due to it's quaintness, and we haven't regretted it yet. The portions are perfectly sized to fill you but with enough room for one of their delicious desserts. The almond crusted stuffed chicken in raspberry brandy sauce is my default go to -- absolutely to die for. We've converted a few people to this restaurant and can't wait to go back."

  • "The food was amazing! Exquisitely prepared to perfection. Service can be crank up a notch, or probably it was Valentine's Day so it's a tad busier than usual, will try it again on a regular night. Place is too tight, not enough elbow space between the other person's table, you can actually hear an earful of everyone's conversation. I guess it could be romantic if not for the way too close proximity of customers with each other. Will come back for the food definitely."

  • "I was looking for a restaurant half way between my friend and me. Reading the reviews of Rialto, I decided to try..... What an unexpected treat. From the gracious greeting by Tara (the owner) to the outstanding food (cooked by her husband Mario) everything about the restaurant was wonderful. I will definitely be back."

  • "The Sarturday 6:30 pm seating starts off nice, then slowly turns to a loud noisy crowd where you can't hear the person next to you. I dined with my husband. The veal picatta, was not tender and had no sense of lemon in the sauce at all. Home made pasta dish was very good. The salad leaves were turning brown at the edge and the walnuts were so heavily coated with sugar, we had to remove them. No one offered to take our dessert order until we were ready to leave. Then I noticed that it was time for the next "shift" to take over the table. My husband said he wouldn't go back to this restaurant. There are better neighborhood choices for finer dining. A visit during the week versus Saturday night would be worth the trip for good pasta."

  • "Made reservations for 8 pm on saturday night. I know it wont be exactly on time bc it "8pm on a saturday night" but to wait for 1 hour 35 min was excessive. We wait their small bar and they did buy us a round of drinks but the wait was tooooo long. We stayed, enjoyed our dinner but the restaurant has to learn how to schedule tables better. As SEINFELD SAID "you know how to take the reservation but you need to learn how to keep the reservation"."

  • "This restaurant was recommended by a friend. The food was good but a little overpriced. NYC prices in LI. I had one of the specials, black linguine with lobster tail, mussels, shrimp & clams. It was very good but not $32 good. Staff were very friendly, atmosphere was nice & cozy. Overall very good!"

  • "Went here for husband's birthday dinner on a Sunday night with the kids...hostess/owner was very friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent--service was beyond excellent and they make this insanely awesome dessert called 'Zuccata' that you MUST order if you like cake and almond flavored whipped cream!"

  • "Rialto has been a consistent favorite of ours for a couple of years. Their food on New Years Eve did not disappoint--it was truly outstanding. The service once we were seated was also top shelf. Unfortunately, they were busy and we had to wait for our table. Their small bar is not the worst place to spend an hour on New Years Eve."

  • "New owner/chef has things just as, if not better than the previous. We had reservation and were seated promptly. Our waiter had class, style and a great sense of humor. All the wait staff was exceptional, noting could have gone better as far as service. I had the pineapple salad with crab meat, the dish was fantastic and the presentation in half a pineapple was terrific. My girlfriend had Butternut Squash soup followed by the Filet of Branzino with shrimp, both of which she said were perfectly cooked and seasoned and delicious. I had the Veal Scaloppini Bolognese which was tender medallions of veal with prosciutto and fresh mozzarella in a wonderful brown gravy sauce. I give this restaurant five stars and can’t want to go back again!"

  • "Christmas Eve must be a nightmare for those of you who own restaurants! The three of us chose to spend the evening with Tara and her staff, even though she is a full 45 minute drive from home. We waited over an hour past our reservation time and were finally seated. End of bad news. The good news is that we wound up having one of the nicest Christmas Eve's possible, and without a doubt, were served the most delicious dinners by one of the most professional servers, Mike. Alex helped us finish up our night with delectable desserts. He's a gem. Thank you everyone, and a healthy and happy new year to all! Millie Cappoli"

  • "This neighborhood restaurant is the equivelent of Manhattan quality with Long Island prices. The owners are very concerned with their customers and strive to please on every level - they do succeed. The food and service are outstanding and this is a restaurant where you feel comfortable bringing other guests."

  • "The Rialto was an excellent experience for us. We had a party of 12 and all of our meals were sumptuous. The menu selection was inventive and the variety was excellent. From the very basic spaghetti & meatballs to the complex mix of flavors in the specials. The service was attentive without being overbearing and the head waiter was entertaining and informative. Portions were generous and complemented by tasty sides. We were so full, but the desert was so good we had to split some. Overall it was excellent and I'd gladly return."

  • "i cannot say enough about how much we enjoy this restaurant! The food is wonderful in every way; portions, presentation and taste! They are also very accomodating. If we crave something not on the menu, Mario is more than happy to make anything we want. The staff is always attentive and knowledgeable and Tara always greets us with a smile and makes us feel very welcome. I can't wait to go back!!!!"

  • "Outstanding in every way! Best Appetizers I have every eaten. Marine lobster, Tuna Crudo! Very busy night wait staff but provided excellent service. We are already planning our next visit! Try the homemade cakes!"

  • "The food was excellent with an outstanding list of specials. We had an excellent appetizer lobster tail spinach salad. An entree special was a black ink pasta with seafood in a fra diavolo sauce that was delicious. The wait staff was uppity and there were peculiar pauses in service waiting for menus and between courses. They also spoke amongst themselves in another language in the dining room except when addressing diners which seemed rude. The hostess was warm and friendly and there was live music with a singer which added a nice ambience."
