Our music holds close to the great traditions of jazz-influence as well as the melodic structure of the blues. During the week you will mostly hear solo jazz piano, and then on the weekends we add the flair of outstanding torch singers. You'll see the singers walking through the dining room, singing at your tables and insuring a fun filled night of wonderful entertainment for all.

Our full menu features wonderful entrees such as Roasted Duck, Organic Herb-Crusted Grouper, Roasted-Shallot Lamb Chops, Barolo-Braised Short Ribs, Espresso-Rubbed Filet Mignon, as well as great starters including Lump Crab Cakes New Orleans, Goat-Cheese Crouton, Lobster Bisque and much more. Our wine list is second to none in the area, and we have the finest selection of Bourbons, Scotches and other fine spirits.   • "We were about the first customers to dine on a Wed. I had a salad that you could tell that the lettuce was from the night before. Edges were turning brown and drying out. I picked out the dry ends. I asked my server if they were open for lunch and he said no. This means they either use pre-cut lettuce or it was left over from the day before. Would not go back"

  • "My last experience at Rhett's was about six months ago. Rhett's was one of our favorite restaurants for a special evening. This time was not so good. Service lacking, noise level high (useed to have a pianist during dinner, now a loud singer), smaller food portions. Food is still very good but it will be quite a while before we eat here again."

It was our first experience upstairs and I would highly recommend it as the service and ambiance were very good. The only disappointment was that a salad was not included with the meal price."

  • "We made reservations enroute to St. Augustine. Within minutes, our reservation was confirmed by phone from the restaurant. We arrived a little earlier but were seated immediately. The service was outstanding and so was the food! We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere upstairs and enjoyed listening to the music downstairs. It was truly romantic and a most enjoyable experience! Well worth the trip!!"

  • "My family arrived in St. Augustine and needed a place for dinner. We opened the Open Table app, and searched. A piano bar within walking distance! Made the reservation and walked over. A jazz combo playing in the bar, but then we went upstairs for dinner, and a fabulous menu (back lighted) and a wonderful waiter! The food was exceptional, and the wine choices were varied! With the jazz combo playing downstairs, it was a wonderful experience that ended too soon!"

  • "I would recommend this restaurant to everybody! When we walked in we had the choice to sit downstairs where you can watch the live music or upstairs where it's a little more quiet. We chose upstairs. We sat at a table over looking the street which we loved because we love people watching. We still could hear and enjoy the music. Our server john was wonderful and very knowledgeable. The food was superb! The over all experience was incredible we will be going back as soon as we can and have already recommended to several friends!"

  • "Don't miss a night at Rhetts if you are visiting St Augustine or lucky enough to live in the area. The food, abiience and service is second to none. Downstairs can be a little loud depending on the entertainment that evening....so eat upstairs, a bit more romantic. If you are a party of two, suggest you sit upstairs, on the windows at the high top tables placed there."

  • "After extensive parking space search, finally made it for reservation about 15 minutes late (always use alternate transportation, parking is abysmal). Seated downstairs as music is not heard upstairs in more sedate surroundings. Wine special was outstanding along with excellent and extensive selection list. Food order (both) took extended time and when arrived was cold. Replacement was still only lukewarm, disappointing. Piano player arrived (late), but was the ultimate saving grace of the evening. Requests were answered immediately with memorized lyrics, great finger work and energized presentation. Wish I had gotten his name, he was outstanding, especially on Billy Joel numbers."

Our dinner this time was a special occasion for my wife and I. The ambiance was great. Very quiet, but you could hear the piano downstairs. I had the full dinner beef short ribs in wine sauce over butternut squash mixed with rissoli. Both were well prepared and were generous portions. The asparagus was perfect. I had to doggie bag the extra beef. We started with a lobster bisque that is to die for. This is a place you can go to and get appetizers, a glass of wine, and enjoy good piano. Next time we go we are going to do just that."

  • "Celebrated Valentine's Day A Day Later at Rhett's. The ambience of the restaurant is to die for. It's close and intimate but the live music just sets it off - and the crowd was very much into it. The food was great. Service wasn't spectacular but it was mostly our server as other servers were very attentive to their tables/customers. Rhett's is great for an adults night out or a romantic dinner for two. It's certainly going to become a regular spot for us."

  • "Was there for a special occasion dinner last year and everything was just great, this last dinner not so much. To start off we were seated then requested to move to a smaller table that wasn't as comfortable then the drink order was taken. The drinks were not as ordered but that was eventually fixed. Dinner came and the fish was wonderful the short ribs, well not very good at all. Coffee and desert ordered, The coffee came but there was a long wait for the desert. All little things but they added up to not good value and very unlikely to return."

  • "We really enjoyed this place. While more people were seated downstairs in the piano bar, we chose to sit upstairs and it was empty when we arrived. We could hear the music, sit at a window table and watch the walkers stroll by. The food was good, nicely prepared and for me the biggest plus you could order 1/2 portions at 1/2 the price. PLEASE identify more restaurants that do this. I already recommended this place to a couple who were excited about the 1/2 orders."

  • "Fourth time eating here. Be sure to eat upstairs to avoid the noise. Service was prompt and courteous but....they've changed the recipe for the crabcakes. Had them about three months ago and they were great. This time, no resemblance--mostly filler and tasted like stuffing. Some of the worst I've seen. Had some that were far better at theJacksonville Airport a week ago. Otherwise, other entrees and appetizers were what you would hope for."

  • "We went here only after finding the other place we wanted to go was closed. Glad we did. We had read good reviews but we are not really fans of live music. At the recommendation of our hotel we decided to give it a try. They told us we could always go upstairs where it was a bit quieter. We ate downstairs and enjoyed the music. It was not too loud. Our server Ben was great. Helpful with the menu and a great attitude. We both had scallops over coconut/ginger polenta. All I can say is YUM. Really an enjoyable evening on multiple levels."

  • "Not particularly impressed. My steak was underdone and my husbands crab cakes were deep fried and were more like croquets. Delicate crab meat should NEVER be fried! How could a southern gentleman like Rhett let a Yankee in the kitchen??? The waiter was not good and started off by bringing us the wrong cocktails....not a good way to start the evening! The best thing of the evening was the dessert....an apple dish with ice cream."

My partner had the filet cooked to perfection and mom had the pork tenderlon That was so tender you could cut it with your fork. A truly wonderful experience."

  • "If you're looking for a romantic evening, Rhett's is a nice option. The bar offers live (and very loud) music, so you might want to ask to sit in one of the cozy rooms upstairs. The service was friendly, but inconsistent. Our salads arrived well before our drinks and our entrees appeared 30 minutes later. We weren't in a hurry, but it took quite awhile for our check to arrive. The food was also inconsistent. The Caesar salad was fresh but very uninspired, we think they neglected the dressing. The "petite" portions offered plenty of food for one person. We highly recommend the scallops and polenta. The lamb chops were mediocre - skinny, chewy and fatty. The accompanying risotto was undercooked and inedible."

Every aspect of our dinner was spectacular except for dessert. I ordered cheesecake, and it was not that good. Also, the back portion of the cake was burnt and not edible. If it was not for that, I certainly would have given all 5's to the restaurant. We will certainly go back and give it another try!"

  • "My wife and I always love Rhett's! It's a wonderful place to go for a romantic dinner for two. The ambiance is great with dark woods, dim lights and candle-lit tables, The food is really good, and we like to be able to order smaller versions of menu items, since most places serve more than we can eat. All-in-all, a great place!"
