Rezaz Mediterranean CuisineAnniversary FeastMy wife and i celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary with a wonderful dinner at Rezaz. This restaurant is our 'go to' place for special occasions or when we want to show-off Asheville.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMHit and missWe ate here while vacationing in Asheville based on several recommendations from locals. We were not as pleased as we expected to be due to the hit and miss on the food. One appetizer was amazing and fabulous, the other almost inedible. Don't order the soft shell crab. You can't even taste the seafood for all the greasy breading they encase it in.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMservicethe service was incredible. just the right amount of attention and really knowledgeable about menu.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMNeat experienceGreat place to try some foods that you may not have had the opportunity to try before. I had the Rabbit Cacciatore with mint ravioli and garlic spinach. My wife had the poussin (young chicken). Both were excellent!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMnever failsRezaz's has been our favorite Asheville restaurant for about 7 years now and never fails to please. Don't miss the shrimp/calamari appetitzer; it's the best, though portion size has diminished of late--I guess they didn't want people to make a meal of it! Seasonally changing menu is always interesting, with unique combinations and tastes. We try to dine there at least monthly and recommend to many others.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous Experience!Recommended by a B&B keeper as his favorite restaurant in Asheville. After being there I can see why. Very un pretentious from Outside ,but inside was very special. The food was incredible and served perfectly. The drinks were perfect. If I ever have a chance to get back to that wonderful town, I will make a b-line back to this place, it is as good as anyplace I have ever been to and last year I traveled around the world.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversary dinnerMy wife and I celebrated our 19th anniversary recently. We decided to visit Rezzaz,(my wife's favorite). The restaurant is ALWAYS perfect!I've never had a bad experience or a bad meal here. Its always a delight. Its our favorite restaurant,I would recommend it to anyone who loves great food, and great atmosphere.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMKnowledgeable Wait-StaffOur waiter, Mithran, was extremely knowledgeable about - not only the specials of the day, but also seemed to have a detailed and appreciative understanding of how the food was prepared, finished and presented. This is a rare feature of any restaurant!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful RestaurantMy husband and I arrived before 5 PM and was greeted graciously. The staff offered us different options since they do not serve dinner until 5. The staff was excellent and the food was outstanding. We highly recommend this restaurant.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMReturn! We are returning diners to Rezaz; we love it. Our meal was very good, the special appetizer was so wonderful that it unfortunately outshined the main course. Service was very good - good advise and attention. That table layout promotes a cozy feeling, not wide open spaces.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently good food andConsistently good food and service. Never disappointed after many visits.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMThe themed Sunday SuppersThe themed Sunday Suppers are a really great idea!4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMA Great Dinner Out!My wife and I took a couple from Western New York there for dinner. We were seated promptly, attended to well without the waiter hovering (the waiter incidentally was excellent), and the food served to us was superbly prepared and presented. Each of the four of us had a different entree, and three of us had different appetizers (the two women shared a soft-shell crab appetizer). Each dish was outstanding (the lamb shank, the duck, the rabbit, and the seafood paella are all to be recommended), with one of the visiting couple pronouncing hers, the duck, the best meal she had had in a long time. All in all, a great dinner out. We will certainly eat there again.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always, we had an excellentAs always, we had an excellent dinner at Rezaz, undoubtedly the best restaurant in Asheville. Wonderful place for creating memories.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat as always, attentiveGreat as always, attentive servers, and great food. Bobby P4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMMust go when in ashevilleThis was the best place we ate at in asheville. The food was very well thought out and executed. The only thing that was not perfect was the scallop dish. It not up to the rest of the menu. The charcuterie was amazing. The smoked duck was one of the best I have ever eaten. We also got the smoked salt margarita which was amazing. it tasted like you were drinking a sweet margarita with bacon, awesome. Thank you for a great meal.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThere were 5 of us. The fishThere were 5 of us. The fish and chicken meals were excellent. The steak and short rib meals were not raved about. The appetizers were delicious. We had heard some excellent reviews of Rezazz and most of us felt that the restaurant didn't really live up to them.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMMediterrean CuisineAlways a favorite.... Waiter was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was interesting and delicious. Lunch box was a great presentation. Prices are reasonable.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWill not be returning to RezazThe food was very good, service was outstanding. The menu was so limited, they need to develop a real menu. The prices were VERY high, our bill came to $150 including a tip. That is with only 3 drinks(no bottle of wine) and just my Wife and I. I could find 30 places better in Asheville for half the cost. Will not be returning.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMCreative and DeliciousLove the creative dishes at Rezaz and go there every time I'm in Asheville. The lunch box is a great way to try various dishes, and the specials are always amazing. For a little treat, try the fries and tomato jam - awesome!4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMFrom start to finish, weFrom start to finish, we enjoyed our meal. Nothing beats a well executed dinner. Highlights include a still talked about local trout (from the menu), the hanger steak (one of the specials) and the baklava. Long and short, can't wait to return.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing Mediterranean foodIf you are in Asheville and if you like Mediterranean food, you have absolutely got to go! I just wish Middle Eastern food was offered. A little Persian cuisine will go a very long way to making this restaurant as close to perfection as it gets!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother visit to Rezaz andAnother visit to Rezaz and great as ever. Food is wonderfully flavored and interesting. Will be back soon.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMJust as we rememberedWe were so anxious to make our second trip back to Rezaz's since our first visit was SO memorable! We are huge foodies and have dreamed about having the lentil soup and grilled Caesar again and it was just as we remembered! Our waiter was wonderfully attentive and explained with detailed knowledge the dishes we inquired about before ordering. We ultimately selected the special which was a Red Snapper cooked to perfection! The layers of flavors created in each of these dishes is simply amazing! We tell ANYONE visiting Asheville that Rezaz's is a MUST for dinner!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMKeep going backWhen I moved to the area in 2007, my realtor recommended Rezaz as one of her favorite restaurants. I have consistently found it to be excellent every time I've been there since and have purposefully introduced local and out-of-town friends to its cuisine.
Most recently, my husband and I went for a nice dinner out. The staff are very courteous, we never feel rushed. We enjoyed the Reza Mezza platter as an appetizer--if you can get in here before the butternut squash-substituted baba ganoush is off the menu for the season, you'll be glad you did. Our entrees were the butternut squash ravioli and the short ribs--both very flavorful and well-presented. I like that I could get a small portion, and my husband likes that he gets enough food3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this restaurant! FourLove this restaurant! We would be delighted to go again.
BUT - The website for Rezaz lists a menu that they do not serve in winter - winter only has about 50% of the items
They should say this more clearly on the website3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have been here before (areWe have been here before (are occasional visitors to Asheville from out of town), and this is the sort of food we like. This restaurant can be quite noisy, was relatively quiet on a Wednesday night in mid-March. The food was delicious and well-presented. We started with the smoked-fish and charcuterie platters (the meat version was better, smoked fish was in tiny bits that looked a bit like scraps from some other uses, but the smoking was excellent and the platter arrangement was pretty). Then we had paella (fine, but not an unusual dish) and sea scallops (excellent control on the cooking, nice accompaniments. The roasted-pear gelato was sublime. Our server made the evening very special with his sophisticated way of handling everything.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first time atThis was our first time at Rezaz and our experience was excellent.
