Diner Reviews
  • "We had a great dinner! We tried the fried cheese small plate and my wife had the paella and I had the chop. It was all tasty! We went here on recommendation from a friend here in Charleston and it did not disappoint. Frank was very knowledgable and helpful. Keep it up!"

  • "We have celebrated our anniversary at Rezaz for the last several years. We are never disappointed! We do not live in NC, but we make it a point to eat at Rezaz whenever we are there! An a special thanks to our waiter--he introduced himself, but I cannot remember his name. He was extremely attentive, but not intrusive. He also recommended a "dessert on the house", which we shared. Thanks!"

  • "Great meal! We were recommended to go by our B&B owner."

  • "One of the best in Asheville. This was on a Sunday. On Sundays the restaurant has a more limited menu and I did not prefer this version of paella. On the other hand, our Biltmore sparkling wine, appetizer, and spouse's entree were all excellent. The greens for the table were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Rapidly becoming our favorite in this city."

  • "We ate at Rezaz on Sat night. It was quite good. My husband had the lamb shank and I had the skirt steak. Both were quite tasty and very good. Portions were quite large. As an appetizer we shared the calamari and shrimp and it was also very tasty. This restaurant is right across the street from the Grand Bohemia Hotel so was also quite convenient. I would recommend trying it when you visit Asheville. Our wait person was good with the exception of not pouring any wine out of our bottle after the first pour. We enjoyed our meal and would definitely return on our next visit to Asheville."

  • "We ate in the kitchen-it was like watching a play!!!Food was great and the waitstaff couldn't have been nicer-what a great experience-"

  • "We visit Asheville once a year and have now dined at Rezaz about four times. It is always wonderful -- the food is very good, the ambience is nice (pleasant decor), and usually our neighbors are courteous and use their 'indoor voices' (pretty rare these days, when most young people conduct restaurant conversations as though they are cheering a team at a stadium). The service is always exceptional, so it's a reliable place for a very good meal. Not quite 'outstanding' in terms of the inventiveness of the food, but that's fine."

  • "Excellent service, ver attentive but not pushy. Food was good. My crab cake appetizer was excellent, with a beautiful presentation. The chicken dish on a mix of veggies and beans was ok but mix was a bit too tart. The " truffle" dessert was supposed to be a dark chocolate. Was actually a caramel rolled in jimmies. Presentation was lacking, plus it was cold, a no no for serving chocolate. Really NO chocolate flavor. My dining partners enjoyed their meal but were not blown away."

  • "We have dined at Rezaz a number of times in the past and this most recent experience was very good, as usual! The food is varied, well prepared, and tasty. The chef really takes pride in his preparation and it shows! The service is always very good. We asked for a quiet table (dining early when they opened for dinner) and were seated in a quiet area. Noise level when we left the restaurant was moderate overall. Parking is available to the side of the restaurant. Highly recommend Rezaz. We plan to return in the future."

  • "The waiter brought the wrong wine and offered to change it but he was not really polite. The appetizer shrimp and octopus, had one shrimp or two, we asked for more and they brought some. The babaganoush was fair. The salmon was a very small portion and the paella was too salty. The goat cheese desert had a crust that tasted old. This restaurant was Highly recommended by a friend but disappointing"

  • "Took a chance based on a recommendation from a hotel and couldn't have been happier! We were entertaining guests from out of the country and were pleased that we found something to be very proud of. Each of us had something different and each dinner was excellent. Flavors were delicious, presentation was great and our waitress, Bonnie was very helpful in selecting sides to go along with our main courses."

  • "Question 2 didn't have dinner listed. We were there for dinner so I would recommend it highly for that. All the service people were very friendly. The diners were of all adult ages which makes it interesting. Our waitress was very helpful in answering our questions and explaining different foods."

  • "The food was outstanding. I had the beef kebab with was tender and perfectly roasted with a wonderful yogurt sauce dressed with cilantro. My wife had a fantastic gigantic meatball with a hard boiled egg inside that was mildly spicy in a good way. This was one of our top 10 meals in our life. We will always come back when we travel this way."

  • "We heard great things about this restaurant, and everything about it lived up to its reputation. Great fresh food and great service. Check out the bakery area for the desserts - they are awesome! This was one of our favorite restaurants during our visit to Asheville."

  • "I dine here often. We come for dinner by ourselves, with our friends and as often as possible. This visit was to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday and we were not disappointed. The food ans service was outstanding."

  • "Second visit and first time for dinner. Had lunch here a few months ago and wanted to try dinner this time. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and service just like last time. Trout and red snapper entrees were both full of flavor. With appetizer and a shared desert we left quite full and happy. Emily is attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Will return next time we are in the area."

  • "This restaurant is nestled amongst several great restaurants in the Biltmore Estate area and serves pretty good food but not great! Would go back occasionally!"

  • "We are from Northern Virginia, so eating at Rezaz is a destination dining experience for us when we visit Western North Carolina. Don't make your meal selection until you hear the specials, which use the best fresh, local ingredients. My son had the duck confit appetizer with French green beans. He does not eat vegetables, but ate most of the green beans because they were the perfect accompaniment to the crispy duck skin. I had the red snapper special, which was beautifully seared and perfectly paired with summer vegetables. Save room for the chocolate ganache torte with sorbet. Follow server's recommendation on wine selection and you won't be disappointed."

  • "Rezaz's is one of Asheville's gems. The food is always superb: delightfully presented, with wonderful accompaniments, the menu is interesting, and the waitstaff very professional. There's a nice bar, tasteful decor with soft lighting. Don't overlook this when searching for restaurants in the Asheville area. I used to always take business guests here before I retired because the food was sure to please (and there is something for everyone), the restaurant was quiet enough to have conversations, great wine list, nice mixed drinks at the bar."

  • "Rezaz has a relatively eclectic menu and ambiance/vibe that made our meal fantastic. We started with the calamari and shrimp, which is not traditional calarmari at all. Instead it is tossed in some sort of sweet and sour sauce, which made for a new and interesting experience. My boyfriend absolutely loved it. We both enjoyed our main courses; I got the special and he got a beef kabob. Both were cooked very well. We shared a Reese's bombe for dessert, which is basically peanut butter mouse encased in chocolate: aka amazing. Service was good. Parking was a bit tricky, and I believe I was unknowingly served a Pepsi when I asked for Coke, but overall a great time. Very foodie-friendly."

  • "Nice place with good menu choices. Everything was very good with the exception of the paella - it was so salty it was almost inedible."

  • "I've visited Rezaz twice before and really enjoyed the experience so it was an easy choice when I was passing through town. The waiter forgot to bring us our drink order but brought us a plate of quite stale bread and our side order of fries. I had to chase him down to ask for our drinks and again for fresh bread. Once our lunch arrived, it was of the same quality I remembered, except there was no dressing at all on the salad. That was the first time I had been there for lunch, so perhaps that was the difference."

  • "We've never been disappointed at Rezaz. The food is exquisite, the service is impeccable, and the prices are not the typical exorbitant prices you so often see in Asheville. Creative presentation; fantastic flavor."

  • "Rezaz is and has been our favorite dining venue for years. Not only for celebrations, romantic moments but just for a pleasant lunch or dinner with friends. The food is the best in Asheville and the servers are professionals you will see for many years. Rezaz is beyond 5 stars in Asheville."

  • "We were referred by a friend. Not expecting much we were pleasantly surprised. We went early (5:15pm) and were warmly greeted and quickly seated. The waiter was great, just enough attention, not too much or too little. The food was excellent. The spices used were unique and very tasty. The Paella was the best my wife and I ever had. We will definitely be going back."

  • "Everyone at our table of four thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The food was delicious. And our server, Bonnie, was excellent! She was humorous, competent, and attentive without being overbearing. This was not our first visit to Reza's and we'll be back!"

  • "Service was outstanding - server volunteered details of the special as well as answered questions most satisfactorily regarding other dishes. We were not hurried yet server was most attentive without hovering over us. Our menu choices were definitely palate pleasers - outstanding preparation & presentation. A perfect evening - thank you chef Raza and staff."

  • "This was my third trip here, and I will definitely be back. Everything from the food to the service is exceptional. The menu is imaginative, extensive, and perfectly executed. Compared to other restaurants in the area the prices are a real bargain too."

  • "Just two visits into it, this is now my favorite area restaurant! That's saying a lot because there are many dining choices in Asheville and some good restaurants. Here, however, the food is unbeatable: great presentation, wonderful (sometimes unexpected) blending flavors. and most of the entrees are very healthy for you. Servers are attentive. Decor is charming: tables are arranged in small privacy groupings separated by beaded curtains with jazz playing softly in the background. Overall, an experience to enjoy!"

  • "I come to Asheville a couple of times a year and always eat at Rezaz. Must have a new chef now: in the past before the meal there were wonderful and unique crackers served. Not this time. Mediocre bread. The grilled romaine salad was not as in the past. The seared tuna special did not taste like fresh tuna. While the wait person was certainly pleasant, the service was slow. I will continue coming to Rezaz and hopefully for a better experience the next time."

  • "Rezaz is consistently at the top of the list for quality food in Asheville. The menu is creative and always evolving with new dishes that display the talents of the Chef and the Kitchen. Even the standard Reza Mezze evolves with the trio consisting of different elements from time to time, for example on our visit it featured a standard but excellent hummus, muhhrahia and a creamy and slightly tangy babaganoush, far from the standard item. The lamb shank, a favorite for me, was presented quite differently than in the past with an herby broth and citrus salsa to complement the perfectly done shank and the foil of jasmine rice. My partner tried the Braised Meatball, a blend of beef cuts with a boiled egg center, adventurous and successful."

  • "I've only been lucky enough to eat here for lunch on multiple occasions but the food is always excellent and reasonably priced. There are always different tastes to choose from on the menu so you can satisfy a variety of personalities in your group. I have heard dinner is also very nice."
