Diner Reviews
  • "Just a great evening of delicious food, super service, and fine wine."
    Dined on 4/9/2014
  • "Rezaz was recommended to me on several occasions, but I never had time to go. Until this past Sunday--what a treat!! It was a French cuisine night, and even the fact that the restaurant was open for a Sunday evening, with alcohol sales, made for a wonderful meal! The Chef/owner came out from the kitchen to allow us to praise him, and he apparently is in there cooking all the meals. That, in itself, is amazing."

  • "Rezzaz's is always reliable -- excellent food, attractive setting, attentive wait staff, conveniently located -- a win win all around."

  • "My wife and I were visiting from Cincinnati and came to Rezaz the first time to grab some quick lunch carryout at the recommendation of the concierge at our hotel, The Greek Village and Poached salmon salads were excellent. We decided to return for dinner and had a great waiter who made some very good recommendations for us. My wife had the duck and I had sea bass. Both dishes were excellent and our waiter was very attentive. We would definitely recommend Rezaz to anyone."

  • "Rezaz always exceeds my expectations somehow, even when I know it will be great. I had the flounder special which was amazing. They always have the most creative, amazing sides and beds of starch or vegetables under the fish. Even the dried fruit and olive bread they bring out in the beginning was amazing. Strawberry tart for dessert was terrific. The carrot cake was just average. I'd pass on that and have it at the French Broad Chocolate lounge. Old Europe and French Broad Chocolate Lounge always have the best desserts in town. But for a great dinner with great service, head to Rezaz."

  • "I have heard great things about REZAZ from friends and co-workers.. So I decided to take my better half out for date night to REZAZ and see what all the fuss was about. We were greeted the moment we entered the restaurant. We were early and were seated immediately. Our server was Frank and he was excellent at his job. He made some wonderful suggestions and my partner did get one of Franks suggestions the Paella. I had the Roasted NC trout. It was delicious. I will be recommending REZAZ to my friends and family and to guest that stay at the hotel I work for... OUTSTANDING FOOD AND OUTSTANDING SERVICE.......AAA+++++"

  • "We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation and we were seated right away. Our waiter was wonderful and he had some great suggestions. My husband and I both loved the calamari/shrimp appetizer! We would eat there again if in the area and will be sure to tell our friends about this restaurant!"

  • "My wife and I have been eating at Rezaz for several years and the food is always superb! When the waiters describe the specials for the night it literally makes your mouth water. When the food arrives it is even better than described. The wine list is good and not to pricey. I look forward to our next meal at Rezaz."

  • "The restaurant was on many of the lists provided by friends of places not to miss in Asheville - it was also on the list the hotel suggested... and none of them were wrong.. it was a great meal, with good service - although I do believe they were short staffed as it seemed that one waiter was doing his best to serve all tables."

  • "The Sunday supper menu was again creative and enticing. Our group shared four appetizers and four main dishes. They were all of excellent taste and presentation. The service was flawless. A wonderful evening!"

  • "As a resident of Asheville, I can confirm that there are wonderful dining choices. Nonetheless, Rezaz has to be one of our favorites. The menu is fantasic - you will find something for every taste. Great cocktails, great wine list. This past Saturday the service wasn't up to the usual par, but perhaps they were a bit short. Don't let that keep you away - the food will not disapoint."

  • "It is rare to find a restaurant that you can simply count on to serve outstanding dishes every time you go but this is the place! Interesting food creations using wonderful ingredients. Great wine. I had the salmon and substituted sides more to my liking. Chef was very accommodating. The pompano special was to die for! If you want good food in Asheville, you may count on Rezaz!"

  • "I happened to see this restaurant on Open Table and thought it sounded interesting for a lunch option. I had just flown in from New York and wanted something special to start my weekend in Asheville. It all began with a very friendly seating hostess and a wonderfully attentive server ( Elizabeth). I have some food allergies and she was very precise in attending to my needs. The food was fabulous. I ordered the Moroccan Chicken Tagine with a side order of the greens. It was so very tasty. For dessert, I had the berry sorbet which was full of flavor. There were many more options on the menu that I would like to try. I will definitely frequent Rezaz again when I am in the area."

  • "Excellent food. Excellent service from Ben.. Friendly staff."

  • "I don't often give a 5 start review: Nobody is perfect. But I've got to say, not only do these guys have really great food, but the service is always spot on (informative and present, but not pushy). It's what I would call an experience, not just a meal. Highly recommend."

  • "It was great night with great food! The menu had awesome options to choose from and it was hard to pick just one! I will be back."

  • "This was the third time we've been to Rezaz and have never been disappointed. The food is simply wonderful and the service unparalleled. Very knowledgeable wait staff but no snobbishness or pretention. We highly recommend it."

  • "The restaurant appears to be a small deli but then it opens up into a moderate sized dining area. Service was excellent and food was even better. If your in Asheville , you need to stop in ."

  • "This was our first time here at Rezaz. Our waitress was very sweet, and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu, including the wine. When describing the specials, it felt like you could taste and picture everything she was describing, which was great. We started off with the charcuterie plate, and then had our entrees and two deserts. One of our deserts were "on the house" for our anniversary. So sweet! Our food was fantastic and served in generous portions! The wine was amazing, and staff was wonderful! We couldn't have had a better experience anywhere else. They really made our night special! I highly recommend Rezaz and we will definitely be coming back!"

  • "Dining at this restaurant was a delight! The food was absolutely unparalleled and our waitress was excellent. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. Water glasses, drinks, and bread baskets were never empty. We have traveled extensively and have been to restaurants in every major US and Canadian city as well as many in Europe. This restaurant is better than many touted in these major culinary hubs. Many years ago, we dined at an excellent restaurant in Montreal and I admit that I have judged many restaurants since then by that experience. Rezaz was competitive with that one and turned out to be one of our best dining experiences ever!"

  • "Great restaurant - started with the Mediterranean dips with pita, I had the NC trout, my husband the paella - all were excellent, as was service. Wish it was in our home town!"
    Dined on 2/21/2014
  • "Rezaz was nice. Unfortunately they were out of most of the ingredients for their "special cocktails", so we couldn't get a few, but the food was good...service was good, Obnoxious laughter coming from behind a curtain in the back...we figured it must be an office party... Chef made special accommodations for my husband's food allergies which was much appreciated."

  • "We celebrated Valentine's Day here and absolutely loved the food. We sat at the bar which was quite comfortable and had excellent service from Bonnie the bar tender extraordinaire. One of the best spots in Asheville hands down. The flavors, spices, sauces, vegetables are fantastic."

  • "Most professionally run place in Asheville. Chef/owner pays attention to all the details that make dining there a treat. Menu changes frequently, food is always fresh and delicious. We tell friends that one can close their eyes and point at anything on the menu and it will be terrific. Servers know the food and the preparation and are polished and unobtrusive."

  • "The service was outstanding, but the food left a little something to be desired. The lamb & duck were really gamey tasting (like, moreso than usual), and I love lamb and duck. The confit gnocchi was delicious, and I wish I'd had a whole plate of that. Yum. The Eshkeneh appetizer was really yummy and unlike anything I've ever eaten before. The bread that they brought out to the table was exceptional and the olive oil was very high quality. My only disappointment was in the duck and lamb, so maybe if we'd ordered different appetizers, we would've had a better experience. The cheesecake was really good--not too creamy or sweet, just the way I like it. And my date really enjoyed his rice pudding."

  • "Excellent every time I go. Service is always courteous."

  • "We have dined here many times, especially for lunch, and this dinner was wonderful as always. The special appetizer of the night was delicious and a generous amount of food. The salmon, wrapped in a grape leaf, was moist and perfectly cooked. The complimentary bread was outstanding - especially the rye. Hand made desserts (pot-de-creme with a perfect creme anglaise, and creme brulee) were great."

  • "Best place we ate all week, so relaxing, friendly and food was amazing. Server was wonderful and helpful and friendly. Desserts were just incredible. Not overloaded on portions so you can enjoy and be full but not overstuffed loved it"

  • "Was very busy, so it took a long time to get our food, which wasn't as hot as it should have been."

  • "We enjoyed Rezaz! Great food, great service and we enjoyed how the seating allowed us to chat with parties next to us. We made new friends while also having a great date night meal. Very well priced as well."
