"Food, service, ambiance were good..............BUT.................the noise was beyond 10 on a 1-10 scale.........we will not come back because of the noise...............it was impossible to have a conversation among 4 people................we were not there for the noisy, bar area, but for a quiet dinner with friends"

"Second time coming here in a week and it was great this time as well. The food is very good, both quality and the way it is prepared. Delicious! Can be noisy when full as it was to begin with at 7pm but by 8pm as we were finishing and the theater crowd had left it was much quieter. Service was very good as well. Highly recommend!"

"we went to a show at freight and salvage a concert spot down the street from restaurant and the server was quick with our order and meal and our time schedule. The smoked pork chop was exceptional!"

"This was our first time at Revival, but it won't be our last. It was recommended by one of the theaters across the street, so we knew it would be convenient. But we also greatly enjoyed the food. Everything was tasty, although quite a bit richer than we expected from the description. Our waitress was very nice even after something stalled our order in the kitchen. Fortunately, we had left plenty of time and were even able to enjoy a luscious dessert."

"We had transportation problems due to a BART delay and the staff could not have been more gracious in accommodating our delayed arrival and need to eat quickly before going to the theater. Our food was delicious and the atmosphere pleasant. The area has many excellent restaurants and it's nice to find a good one that also remains flexible and good-humored when their guests arrive late and beleaguered."

"It was great to have such a nice restaurant next to the Berkeley Rep. We actually ate there before for dinner and went back after with friends for drinks and dessert. The service people were helpful but a little scattered. I would go back for their innovative menu."
