This is not our first time at Revel. We always enjoy it, but Monday something was a little "off". They seemed to be short staffed. The restaurant was basically empty , but service and food was slow. I am sure we will go back and give it another try, since our other vists were much better.

The overall wine list lacked insight and thoughtful selection. The food is overpriced and was tasteless. The chopped lettuce wedge had vinegar along with blue cheese dressing. It think it was a mistake. Very disappointing. The seating was odd and uncomfortable.

Definitely an interesting menu. From the Heirloom Beet Salad to the Brussel Sprout Appetizers we then devoured our Hamburgers. To top it off we had an amazing piece of Key lime pie for dessert. Our waitress Stephanie, was attentive, but not rushed. All of us had an enjoyable meal. Would definitely return.

Service was awful. Inexperienced wait staff and bar staff resulted in delayed and incorrect drink and food orders, and negatively impacted on both food and drink quality. Inadequate staffing also resulted in the failure to clear away any plates before next course served and overall level of confusion which made for an uncomfortable and unenjoyable experience.

Food was excellent with a really diverse menu. Ambience was just too noisy to totally enjoy the dining experience. Perhaps it would be fine for really late night dining and bar chatting, but a way should be found to dampen the noise level, say, before 9-10 pm. Keeping the piped-in music level lower would help so patrons wouldn't think they need to shout over it.

This was my 2d visit for dinner and it was just as good as the first. Our group of 5 were originally seated in the main dining room. When we requested a move to the dining area in the bar room the staff graciously accommodated us. Comfortable decor, unique cocktails, interesting appetizers and an excellent burger did the trick. Eager for my next visit.

The restaurant decor was modern chic and comfortable. The service was very good, however our waiter made a few mistakes and lacked knowledge of a menu item, resulting in sending a dish back to the kitchen. As far as the food, the menu offerings weren't anything very different, and presentation was very simple; the taste was alright. I wouldn't be talking about the food I ate there all week. Overall, it was just an ok experience.

The food was, for the most part, interesting and well prepared but there was too much salt on a number of the dishes. An exception was the Brussels sprouts, which are as good as all the reviews say. Service was very friendly and accommodating, but a little amateurish. A few examples: wine, requested to be served with our entrees, arrived and was opened before we got our cocktails; a steak knife had to be asked for; and two of the orders requested with minor changes were screwed up, including a burger ordered with only a little cheese that came with none at all. All of the mistakes were quickly and courteously fixed, though. This would have been a solid 4 star were it not for the salt and the service lapses.

My first time here was June 24. I didnt write a review that visit ( never written a review in my life)this is my 1st. Our planned BBQ plans changed due to the rain. Went to Revel Restaurant(all 15 of us, with no resveration)The place was very busy and the staff was running around. Had great food & drinks. Kudos for the delicious short ribs, octopus & brussels sprouts.Loved the bananna nutella. We had a great time, great service and great food. One of the reasons I am writting this is because our waitress was trying super hard to please our large loud table along with the many other tables she had . I believe they were either short staff or just didnt expect the place to be completely full on 4th of July. Either way, we are happy customers

My 2nd dinner in a few weeks at Revel & I have to say that this place is really growing on me. The food, service & ambiance make for a great combination. The timing and taste of the food has been perfect & the staff knows when to be at your table and when not to be. I've had both the grill octopus & wedge salad for starters and they were great. I've had the short ribs & osso Bucco for entrees and they were excellent too. Jim & Francine are wonderful hosts. Will definitely be back soon.

Service was bad. Orders were confused. Cutlery and glasses were filthy and returned several times. Did our server ever apologize? No. Have you ever heard of paella without rice? Well they served it here. Corn and peas substituted for rice. There was no chorizo or other meat. Instead an odd piece of salmon that obviously was frozen and wasn't seasoned was laid on top. Other substitutions were made to other dishes but we had no notice until we discovered it in front of us. Every dish was poorly seasoned. We had read reviews stating dessert was good. None of the advertised offerings was available. The only desserts were ice creams and mousses which was odd.

I found this restaurant through a Groupon offer. My husband and I decided to go there for date night and were pleasantly surprised that it lived up to the reviews that I had read before our visit. The bar area was quite nice as was the seating areas. We dined in a booth and were greeted by a great server with lots of personality. He was very well versed in the menu items and gladly made recommendations based on our food preferences. My husband doesn't eat beef or pork and there was still plenty for him to choose from. We started with the flatbread and the japanese eggplant, both were very good. For our entree we had the braised short ribs and the chicken dish, both were very well prepared and flavorful. We finished up with sorbet and happy.

Wow, again. Great food choices, excellent service and slick decor. 5 of us each had a different app and entree. Salads were crisp, soup was very good with good taste and velvety texture. Short ribs, swordfish, hangar steak all good, but gnudi and another pasta dish with lamb ragu were outstanding. Sorry, no room for dessert. Chardonnay from Argentina was buttery and oaky. Loved it!

Been to this place a few times and the food was good. Went here recently with a good friend who'd never been. To get to the point, my meal tasted like a salt block; the spinach side was bordering salty too. My friend's dish was a tad spicy and it was a dish I recommended. I was a bit embarrassed. Then to top off the night, the waiter over priced my meal. I was able to get a refund, which was a few cents off-I mean, I was already overcharged and had paid tax on it. The least the manger could have done was to refund the correct amount.

I was at Revel for lunch on Friday May 9 For lunch. I ordered the lunch specials: sweet corn soup ( amazing) and crab tostadas (even better) My coworker also had soup and a steak dish ( not sure the name) and said it was best lunch they had this year ! By coincidence, my family booked Mother's Day there also. I was pleased that I was just as happy with food and service as on Friday. Table favotites were : Brussel sprouts with cherries, herbs & cheese. Swordfish & artichokes , and angus prime filet. Also loved the lemon baked potatoes. Love the decor and vibe at Revel. Food was great and I will go back but next time would like to sit at the outside tables.

Went for dinner on Sunday night during restaurant week. Were seated promptly as the restaurant was empty. Had to ask for the restaurant week menu as the server only gave us the regular menu. Once we started ordering, they did not have the appetizer, entree and dessert that I ordered. The server had no clue and the manager on duty was not helpful at all. I was forced to order a filet from the a la carte menu which was excellent I must say. I rate the restaurant fair due to its not having anything on the special menu and forcing guests to order from the regular menu. Service and attitude leaves a lot to be desired.

The whole experience was a joke! Four of us in the party. The waiter was bouncing between two rooms. I had to flag down the hostess when my husband's appetizer did not come to the table, it was a mere salad! The entree's arrived and my husband's salmon had to be sent back because it was raw. Again, had to flag down the "hostess" to have it cooked. My friend & I had the hanger steak (tasted like liver) with fries and salad that dominated the plate. A manager came over & asked why I didn't eat the steak, and I told her. She said No One has ever complained before, I told her to ask my friend who felt the same way. The manager took my dinner off the bill. At dessert, no one offered coffee or tea! Waste of time when there are other great places!
