  • "We were wanting a nice elegant meal and taking guests - wanting to impress. Didn't want to drive to Dallas or Fort Worth and fight the traffic and crowds so we tried Restaurant 506 at the Sanford House. It was wonderful. Very beautiful setting, attentive service that was spot on, great food - very quiet the night we were there and we enjoyed being able to hear our conversations. We're so glad we rediscovered 506Restaurant and will be back!"

  • "Food was very good. A few more food selections would have been great."

  • "They had some construction going on during my visit which took away from the experience but it is what it is. The service was well meaning but average at best. I had the lunch trio, grilled cheese| Salad | Carrot Bisque. The grilled cheese was cold when it arrived but still good, the bisque was rich and flavorful but the salad stole the show. I asked for a quiet secluded table for a meeting and was happy being sat alone in a room separate from the one other guest they had at the time. Naturally, they sat the next table right by me which impacted the conversation at my table."

  • "My husband and I stayed at the Stanford House Inn & Spa for a late Valentine's Day celebration, we decided to make reservations at Restaurant 506 for dinner that night. We had no idea how amazing this restaurant was. I had the best steak I have EVER had (Beef Tenderloin & Grilled Shrimp), and I really enjoyed the mashed potatoes and asparagus (I HATE Asparagus). My husband and I both cleaned our plates, and enjoyed some awesome Creme Brulee after dinner. Restaurant 506 is the perfect place to sneak away and enjoy an amazing dinner for two. We will defiantly be coming back to enjoy brunch and dinner again!"

  • "The service and overall quality were unquestionably good. However, watch out for the seafood dishes. I couldn't finish the plate on account of the SALT. I understand some people like it that salty, but I think this was a little over the top. Dessert and pallet cleanses were awesome and we even had the bartenders pair drinks to our individual dishes. Of note, the exec chef came out himself to offer alternatives to out of stock cod. Everything was great, except for the over seasoning!"

  • "Overall we were very pleased with the food and the service; however if we had had a larger group as expected, the menu options were very poor. Brunch, lunch or dinner, there need to be more menu options for people's tastes. One of our group went with the steak because he had to, not because he wanted to. In order to provide a full exquisite dining pleasure, please expand your menu options to include a lot more varieties of food and also appetizers."

  • "My date and had a fantastic brunch. Our waiter, Lloyd was attentive to our needs. We were able to have a quiet meal and discussion. The B&B was preparing for an afternoon wedding, but we were able to walk the grounds. Lovely outdoor setting, beautifully decorated Victorian home. I will this experience. Thank you 506!"

  • "Lovely, quaint restaurant. Food and service were both great. Would definitely dine here again."

  • "From the moment I called to see if my guest and I could come earlier than our reservation to the last friendly greeting as we departed, the service was top notch. Our server Lyle was upbeat and sold us on the menu. He appeared when it was necessary without interrupting our lunch conversation. We were checked on to see how our experience was with caring curiosity. The meals were very well prepared and elegant. Our favorite dessert was the Strawberry Bread Pudding. Lyle told us that the bread puddings change so we will definitely return!"

  • "The food was fantastic. This was our second time to eat here and we found the specials of the day to be good choices. The steaks and seafood were cooked perfectly. They also offer drink specials but don't be confused by this - there is a full bar. In fact, we discovered the bar in the back as we strolled after dinner and intend to return just for quiet drinks. They also invited dinner guests to linger in the courtyard, where they had seats and quiet jazz playing. The waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. A large pre-wedding party diverted his attention a bit and their energy made it harder to have a quiet conversation. Other servers did check on us. We plan to return many times."

  • "I love this restaurant, and go whenever I can. This time I was a little put off when the server presented the bill before she served our dessert! They were not crowded, so I don't think it was because they wanted us to vacate the table, but it sure felt that way."

  • "Excellent food, top-notch service, very romantic setting, nice wine list - everything was just perfect!!!! It always is. My FAVORITE place to go, such a treat."

  • "I loved the touch of the chef being friendly and taking the time to talk to the customers. The food was excellent and well prepared with style and class. The wine selection was also excellent, as I had a pinot noir which was excellent and my husband and I had the duck,it was so tasty and soft. The surprise to me was the dessert.Chocolate explosion cake, that sealed the evening for us. It was overall a first class experience and we have been to many fancy, exclusive, restaurants. The only negative thing was the parking. Not enough space. sincerely Hissin kelly"

  • "My wife and I live in Arlington and have dined at Resturaunt506 for brunch. We made reservations for Valentine's Day and the preselected menu did not disappoint. The food was excellent, the service was marvelous, and I can say we will be going back to try the regular dinner menu."

  • "Restaurant 506 was a perfect setting for a relaxed brunch before the raucous atmosphere of ATT Stadium. My spouse and I were treated to the refined ambiance of the Sanford House still decorated in its Christmas finery. I chose the crab cake eggs Benedict and my wife had the bacon/spinach frittata. Both were executed and served with expert aplomb, in a setting made for relaxation and conviviality. A perfect beginning to a leisurely day culminating in an Eagles win in Arlington on the last day of the regular season."

  • "Four in our party went went Friday early evening for a pre-theatre dinner. The server missed quite ea few items--i.e. I asked the soup of the day and when she returned did not answer my question and instead asked if we had any questions. I was very clear about not wanting or liking asparagus--no other options provided. One of the others in our party was served carrots. Asked if I could have carrots instead. Yes, that was an option. Came out with one carrot sprig and one asparagus sprig!! The pre-theatre menu had limited options which was fine and we knew that going in. The dessert listed strawberry bread pudding. We were there early and were told they did not have this dessert available???????? The food was DELICIOUS."

  • "My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Restaurant506. We live in Arlington and have driven by The Sanford House hundreds of times. I am glad that we finally decided to have dinner there. It was fantastic. The service was great. Everyone on the staff was personable. We will be going back."

  • "Ate lunch with two friends and we were thrilled to find Restaurant506. My friends had the crab cakes and loved them. The chef made me a special vegan salad that was perfect with grilled fruits and fresh greens. Dessert was huge and creative. Homemade raspberry gelato and pineapple bread pudding. The hot tea was beyond delicious. Service was attentive and not hovering. We were able to stay and chat after lunch. The house is beautiful and the grounds are lovely. We will be returning."

  • "Sanford House is basically the best restaurant in Arlington. It is somewhat innovative but at the same time, has all the good standards, too, such as steaks and lamb chops, and chicken salad at lunch, and its menu is definitely styled to fit Arlington's clientele. The setting in a beautifully renovated Bed and Breakfast in the oldest part of Arlington is very romantic and nice. Some of their servers, however, need to mature a bit."

  • "We enjoyed an early New Year's Eve dinner at Restaurant. Although the restaurant was heavily booked for the evening, the service was leisurely, not rushed. McKenzie was attentive to our table's needs. My lamb chops were seasoned and cooked to perfection (5 nice sized chops). The Carpaccio I have ever had, delicately shaved and accompanied with Baby Arugula, Truffle Oil, Shaved Grana Padano. Our wives savored the Lobster Bisque before their Scallop dinners as Oscar enjoyed his Beef Tenderloin and Grilled Shrimp. If you want to know about my Chocolate Destruction you will have to visit Restaurant506 and try it yourself. You will not be disappointed."

  • "My friend & I had never had Moroccan food before. This, by far, was truly a delicious & fun experience for us. We can't wait to return. The owner stopped by, the Executive Chef stopped by and Chef Kaira made us a lovely display of desserts... they want to make sure each guest enjoys their time there & are truly satisfied. This spot is vibrant and fun. We can't wait to return. Thank you"

  • "We had wonderful service, the food was delicious every single bite, and the atmosphere was lovely! It was a great place to go for a fancy dinner and we loved it and it was reasonably priced too! Will go again!"

  • "The dishes we had for brunch were basic, but served with a flare. For example, I had the pancakes which were typical of white flour pancakes you would get anywhere, but were spruced up with nice garnish. I prefer a whole wheat or multi-grain pancake over your run of the mill variety. Another person at our table had a waffle which was essentially made with the same not very healthy batter. The attraction of this restaurant is its ambience. We had lunch here a couple of years ago and it was very good with nice selection of entrees."

  • "Anniversary dinner was fantastic! A perfect evening celebrating 33 years with fine food and nice wine! We even spent the night upstairs one of the elegant rooms of The Sanford House. Don't miss this gem!"

  • "We happened to stay at the Sanford House during a ice storm and had the opportunity to eat at the restaurant several times. Food and service were great! Even though there were not very many customers due to the icey conditions, we were treated like they were glad we were there! Strawberry bread pudding was wonderful."

  • "I took my sister there to celebrate her birthday on Dec. 1. The brunch selections were varied and the two that we had -- Parmesan-crusted trout and New York strip steak with sunny side up eggs--were both excellent. The prices are also reasonable and the service attentive. This meal made for an excellent birthday celebration."

  • "I had been wanting to try this restaurant since there are so few nice and unique restaurants in Arlington. My parents were in town and we decided to try Restaurant506 for brunch. We were not disappointed. It is a perfect place for a special occasion; and the brunch prices are very reasonable. I will go back often for their Crab Cakes Eggs Benedict!"

  • "Last Sunday my wife and I celebrated the oldest daughter's birthday with brunch at Restaurant506. The food was excellant. My daughter enjoyed the Pulled-Pork Benedict and my wife the Crab Cakes Benedict, which she is hopelessly stuck on because they are so good. I tried the Chicken Waffles and had a wonderful taste sensation. What a lovely meal for that time of the day. The presentation was so good that another table noticed it. And soon, at least two of these specials of the day appeared at their table. John Klein and his crew continue to outperform my expectations each time we visit. If I sound enthusiastic, I am. My daughter comes from Dallas just to eat here. If you are in the Arlington area you have got to visit this gem."

  • "We were in Arlington on business and were unimpressed by the sea of bland, chain-style dining offerings. On a whim we checked out this place and we were all blown away by the excellent cuisine and and service. Do no miss the Lobster Bisque or the Restaurant506 Surf & Turf. Eye-popping, toe-curling delicious."

  • "We wanted to try this restaurant for a very special occasion and also to scope it out for a possible reception place next year. The atmosphere and grounds were very nice, but we were very disappointed in the food and thought it was overpriced. We really wanted this to be a new find in Arlington for special occasions. Our meat was dry and overcooked and the potato cakes were bland and tasteless. The chocolate explosion dessert looked neat, but when the hot caramel was poured on it, it melted everything and it like eating soup. The only thing we enjoyed was the wine. Really wish I could give a good review. On a positive note, the waiter was attentive and everyone was friendly."

  • "On this occasion we returned to Restaurant506 for Brunch. My wife had Crab Cake Benedict and I had the Pulled Pork Benedict, which I had not enjoyed before. Both were delicious and beautifully presented. Demetrius carefully attended to our table and drink order in a genteel, non-obtrusive manner, as he and the other waitstaff always have. This is a must visit location for anybody living in or passing through the Arlington area. Next time I think I will try the Pecan Crusted Trout. My wife loved it a few visits ago."
