  • "Restaurant 506 is the perfect balance of charm, elegance and southern flair. The food was fabulous - satisfying and pleasing to the eye and the palate. The "Sweet Tea" was liquid sunshine in a glass - total euphoria. The Sanford House and Restaurant 506 are southern hospitality at its best. Everyone should take time to experience this precious gem nestled near the heart of downtown Arlington, Texas."

  • "Would like to keep this gem a secret so that when we need a very special restaurant and excellent food and service, we can just call for a reservation. We have tried most of the items on the menu and can not give any negative reports. Their steaks are cooked exactly as ordered and they are always delicious. We will go back time and time again."

  • "Spent our 33 anniversary here. The ambiance was perfect. Perfect for a romantic dinner for 2. Food was fabulous. I will be going back. Next time brunch."

  • "Our friends and our anniversary are within one day...we had dinner at the Sanford House. A very enjoyable dinner, food excellent, ambiance was great. To make room for dessert we strolled the beautiful gardens then returned to our table...each couple shared a "Chocolate Destruction" if I remember the name of the dessert correctly...it was wonderful! When the waiter found out we were celebrating our anniversaries...they comped our dessert. The Chef visited our table, service was great...would recommend highly!"

  • "We drive by the Sanford House frequently and I had often thought it would be a great place to dine. I was right! Our dinner was delightful. It was a great place to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. Ironically, there was a wedding in the garden while we were there."

  • "Wonderful, quaint restaurant with good food and great service"

  • "Mom and sister ordered the lunch trio (soup, salad, sandwich). The soup was so tiny it made us laugh. It was maybe a 1/4 cup of soup. The sandwich was also tiny. I ordered the trout. Again, portion was very small. "

  • "Wonderful food, great service & notable quiet ambiance! We took friends there for his birthday & everything was perfect. Our waiter took us on a tour of the grounds & the beautifully appointed guest cottages of the B&B. The courtyard would be a wonderful place for any event especially this time of the year. My only complaint is they are only open Thursday through Sunday for lunch & dinner & brunch on Saturday & Sunday. "

  • "What a great find for foodies and those who love great ambience while they dine! The trout was cooked to perfection, and the salmon was also very good! The service was a little slow, but I enjoy the college students who work at this venue-they are very knowledgeable professional! I want to go back to try other items on the menu, which I wish were just a bit more expansive! The prices are very reasonable, no reason not to give this gem a try!"

  • "Pleasant surprise, after brunch, my friends changed their Mother's Day from another restaurant to 506. Reasonable pricing at Brunch, and be sure to try the Bloody Mary...Awesome."

  • "We were looking for something different from the many choices of larger "chain restaurants". Restaurant506 answered the call. Tucked out of the way in a largely residential area, the quiet setting was perfect. A small bar area allows for personal service and very informed conversation from the bartender. Everyone from the hostess, to the wait staff was great! We are not wine drinkers for I can't comment for the wine lovers. However, the margarita's were made the way we like them. Truly a wonderful dinning experience with the attention from McKenzie. She was warm, friendly and very knowable about the menu. Starting with the amuse-gueule, moving to the beef carpaccio, then to the entree, everything was delicious and timing was perfect."

  • "Food was excellent but a very limited menu. The bar did not have champagne or olives which we found strange. On the whole, it was a great dining experience though. I have been there for lunch before and this was a first time experience for dinner. I would recommend it for a quiet enjoyable dinner with friends or family."

  • "This is the second time that my wife and I have dined at Restaurant506. This time we brought along some of our friends. What a great evening! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We started with drinks in the bar and then had an amazing meal. The bartender was very personable. Our server was extremely knowledgeable of the menu (and the drinks as well). I have had steaks all around the DFW area and must say that these were the best I have had in some time. And the pricing was not as outrageous as some area restaurants. Definitely a romantic, relaxing place to have a great dinner."

  • "We were wanting a nice elegant meal and taking guests - wanting to impress. Didn't want to drive to Dallas or Fort Worth and fight the traffic and crowds so we tried Restaurant 506 at the Sanford House. It was wonderful. Very beautiful setting, attentive service that was spot on, great food - very quiet the night we were there and we enjoyed being able to hear our conversations. We're so glad we rediscovered 506Restaurant and will be back!"

  • "Food was very good. A few more food selections would have been great."

  • "They had some construction going on during my visit which took away from the experience but it is what it is. The service was well meaning but average at best. I had the lunch trio, grilled cheese| Salad | Carrot Bisque. The grilled cheese was cold when it arrived but still good, the bisque was rich and flavorful but the salad stole the show. I asked for a quiet secluded table for a meeting and was happy being sat alone in a room separate from the one other guest they had at the time. Naturally, they sat the next table right by me which impacted the conversation at my table."

  • "My husband and I stayed at the Stanford House Inn & Spa for a late Valentine's Day celebration, we decided to make reservations at Restaurant 506 for dinner that night. We had no idea how amazing this restaurant was. I had the best steak I have EVER had (Beef Tenderloin & Grilled Shrimp), and I really enjoyed the mashed potatoes and asparagus (I HATE Asparagus). My husband and I both cleaned our plates, and enjoyed some awesome Creme Brulee after dinner. Restaurant 506 is the perfect place to sneak away and enjoy an amazing dinner for two. We will defiantly be coming back to enjoy brunch and dinner again!"

  • "The service and overall quality were unquestionably good. However, watch out for the seafood dishes. I couldn't finish the plate on account of the SALT. I understand some people like it that salty, but I think this was a little over the top. Dessert and pallet cleanses were awesome and we even had the bartenders pair drinks to our individual dishes. Of note, the exec chef came out himself to offer alternatives to out of stock cod. Everything was great, except for the over seasoning!"

  • "Overall we were very pleased with the food and the service; however if we had had a larger group as expected, the menu options were very poor. Brunch, lunch or dinner, there need to be more menu options for people's tastes. One of our group went with the steak because he had to, not because he wanted to. In order to provide a full exquisite dining pleasure, please expand your menu options to include a lot more varieties of food and also appetizers."

  • "My date and had a fantastic brunch. Our waiter, Lloyd was attentive to our needs. We were able to have a quiet meal and discussion. The B&B was preparing for an afternoon wedding, but we were able to walk the grounds. Lovely outdoor setting, beautifully decorated Victorian home. I will this experience. Thank you 506!"

  • "From the moment I called to see if my guest and I could come earlier than our reservation to the last friendly greeting as we departed, the service was top notch. Our server Lyle was upbeat and sold us on the menu. He appeared when it was necessary without interrupting our lunch conversation. We were checked on to see how our experience was with caring curiosity. The meals were very well prepared and elegant. Our favorite dessert was the Strawberry Bread Pudding. Lyle told us that the bread puddings change so we will definitely return!"

  • "The food was fantastic. This was our second time to eat here and we found the specials of the day to be good choices. The steaks and seafood were cooked perfectly. They also offer drink specials but don't be confused by this - there is a full bar. In fact, we discovered the bar in the back as we strolled after dinner and intend to return just for quiet drinks. They also invited dinner guests to linger in the courtyard, where they had seats and quiet jazz playing. The waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. A large pre-wedding party diverted his attention a bit and their energy made it harder to have a quiet conversation. Other servers did check on us. We plan to return many times."

  • "I love this restaurant, and go whenever I can. This time I was a little put off when the server presented the bill before she served our dessert! They were not crowded, so I don't think it was because they wanted us to vacate the table, but it sure felt that way."

  • "Excellent food, top-notch service, very romantic setting, nice wine list - everything was just perfect!!!! It always is. My FAVORITE place to go, such a treat."

  • "I loved the touch of the chef being friendly and taking the time to talk to the customers. The food was excellent and well prepared with style and class. The wine selection was also excellent, as I had a pinot noir which was excellent and my husband and I had the duck,it was so tasty and soft. The surprise to me was the dessert.Chocolate explosion cake, that sealed the evening for us. It was overall a first class experience and we have been to many fancy, exclusive, restaurants. The only negative thing was the parking. Not enough space. sincerely Hissin kelly"

  • "My wife and I live in Arlington and have dined at Resturaunt506 for brunch. We made reservations for Valentine's Day and the preselected menu did not disappoint. The food was excellent, the service was marvelous, and I can say we will be going back to try the regular dinner menu."

  • "Restaurant 506 was a perfect setting for a relaxed brunch before the raucous atmosphere of ATT Stadium. My spouse and I were treated to the refined ambiance of the Sanford House still decorated in its Christmas finery. I chose the crab cake eggs Benedict and my wife had the bacon/spinach frittata. Both were executed and served with expert aplomb, in a setting made for relaxation and conviviality. A perfect beginning to a leisurely day culminating in an Eagles win in Arlington on the last day of the regular season."

  • "Four in our party went went Friday early evening for a pre-theatre dinner. The server missed quite ea few items--i.e. I asked the soup of the day and when she returned did not answer my question and instead asked if we had any questions. I was very clear about not wanting or liking asparagus--no other options provided. One of the others in our party was served carrots. Asked if I could have carrots instead. Yes, that was an option. Came out with one carrot sprig and one asparagus sprig!! The pre-theatre menu had limited options which was fine and we knew that going in. The dessert listed strawberry bread pudding. We were there early and were told they did not have this dessert available???????? The food was DELICIOUS."
