The food was good but the portions were very small. The waitress made some very good recommendations for us. I left my American Express card at the restaurant and was disappointed when I called that they hadn't found it. I called the next morning and they rudely asked which table I was sitting at. I had to cancel the card.

The food was great but over priced and the menu limited. I was disturbed by the branches hung by nooses as I entered the restaurant. They also need to solve the problem of the entire restaurant getting a cold draft each time the door opens. For my money and comfort I will visit another sushi location.

Food wasn't bad, but it was a little on the pricey side. I have definitely seen many better quality yet less pricey sushi menus.

  • The food here was delicious.

The food here was delicious. However, the room - with high ceilings, many windows, and no "curtain" around the front door entrance to prevent the winter air from gusting in - was freezing. We weren't the only ones dining with our coats on. The service was perfunctory. The loud, thumping beat of night-club music - between 7:30 and 9:00 p.m. - impaired conversation and quickened heartbeats. The food was not enough to warrant a return.

  • This isHarvard Square, not Back Bay
    OpenTable Diner Since 2012VIP

I love OSUSHI Back Bay, but I think trying to replicate the Back Bay feel in Harvard Square will not help the place. Sushi is excellent, but the service, tone of the place & vibe was not. Our waitress seemed annoyed that our group of 8 was there in the first place (really?) and it's 12:00pm on a snow winter's day -- we don't really need the lounge club music playing. Our group left feeling like they weren't welcome, and thanks not cool esp since we all love sushi and go out for lunch nearly every day together. Have the tone of the place meet Harvard Square and you'll never have an empty seat. Keep things feeling pretentious, stuffy and you might end up being like the other 4 places that tried to be there: gone in about 6-9 months.

Bar was terrible!!!? bar tender was literally the worst I have ever experienced. I came in a group of 4 people, and everyone's drinks were awful!! Food was good and waitress was friendly, but they also sat us 30+ mins after our reservation (despite getting there 15 mins early). I will never go back.

Unique appetizer menu. The ocha zuke is delicious and satisfying without being heavy. Many rolls do not even need soy sauce, I recommend tasting without first.
