The food was very good. The restaraunt was too noisy and it get's a little old when waiters and waitresses go into absurd details about food when you are trying to talk to your friends and family at a table of 8.

First time visit on Thursday Nov 08 2012 and was glad I was able to make a reservation. Overall it was a very good experience. While the noise level was "energetic" it wasn't uncomfortably loud like other restaurants when you can't hear the conversation with your dining companions. Waiter was good and offered suggestions. I will come again.

We were served a very nice meal at The Pig. Food was tasty and the service was excellent. The place is also very nicely appointed--very relaxing ambiance. Our waiter was helpful and friendly (though he did inadvertently overcharge us for a salad, which we caught too late.) One quibble: The beef tartare was served without bread--we had to ask for more bread to eat this dish. This is something the restaurant should take care of. I was going to order a glass of wine, but thought the wines by the glass were pretty overpriced--better to order a beer. Overall--recommended!

  • Almost Fantastic

We went for brunch on a Sunday. I got mixed up with my times, and they graciously sat us almost 20mins early. Our server was prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly. She wasn't pushy. We both ordered the whiskey/coffee drink and were quite pleased. It was creamy and smooth, the whiskey was balanced and not overwhelming. My friend got their version of eggs benedict - it was good. Done well, but nothing to write home about it. I had the croque madame; it had the potential of being a fabulous dish. The french toast base, well poached egg, greens. However, the bread was cold, the ham was lumped on one side, it just wasn't executed well. I'd still give it another shot, the rest of the menu looked good. It's hard to find a brunch done well.

Great food. Charcuterie platter was fantastic! One advice , stay away from the non pig's dish They are ok but not experional (ie burger) As we say in french: " Dans le cochon, tout est bon!" One thing missing on the menu : Pie? With a lard base crust...

Food was great, lot of options. Only downside was having to wait 25mins for our reservation. It seemed like a trend with others waiting as well. Not sure if because people wanted to stay and lick their plates or poor reservation planning. Either way, nice bar to wait at and worth it.

The food was sub-par at best... All meat items were overcooked which is a problem when most of what they are serving is meat-based/pork centric. Crispy Pigs Ears on Salad were inedible as beyond tough, BBQ Pork was dry, Fried Chicken was completely burnt. The bread basket with swine butter is good. Great concept but poor execution. Not impressed...

Dinner: Perfect ambiance for catching up with an old friend. The noise level is not so loud that you need to shout, but not so quiet that you need to be mindful of your volume. Tried the Porchetta - I've never had brains before, and this was an awesome first taste. Drinks: "eight weeks ‘til the slaughter." Very strong, very smokey, very tasty. Loved it. There was also another drink with fresh strawberries, which I absolutely loved. It must be a seasonal item because it is not currently on the drink menu. Brunch: LOVE the Bloody Mary here. It comes with the crispiest, smokiest piece of bacon that goes so well with the drink. Tried Cured Ham Benedict and the Gruyère & Smoked Ham Waffle. The glaze on the waffle - amazing.

Great drink menu with house made cocktails and a nice selection of local beers. Went there on a date and we both enjoyed the "Big Pig" sampler platter, which was a substantial amount of food. The service was just the right level of attention and our server Dylan had plenty of knowledge about the menu and was happy to make drink recommendations. The noise level was acceptable, we could carry a conversation but the music was notable. Nice, simple decor. Lots of wood and chalk boards giving a bit of an outdoor barbeque feel. This is clearly a place for lovers of pork products so leave your vegetarian friends at home. I'm excited to go back and try some other items on the menu.

First time we ate at the Pig: what a surprise! Some of the dishes we chose sounded a bit eccentric and unusual, but everything was delicious: the little pig platter and the crispy pig ears salad, the porchetta and the andouille. The only "negative" point is that even with reservation we had to wait to be seated for more than 20 minutes...but the wait was worthy and we had a very nice time.

Brought a foodie friend of mine who also is in the restaurant business...he hardly ever loves where I take him. Well we both loved the Pig. The service was excellent, very friendly, fun, and our server helped us navigate the great menu and pick just the right things. You need to like pork and you need to be ok with sharing. The food is incredible and the drink menu is creative - lots of different cocktails and a great wine list. It's a small place so it is noisy but that fits the space. The decor is great, and they have a nice bar. I loved it, as did my friend, which was a big coup for me. Definitely not to miss spot!
