Inspired by the high style aesthetic of 1960’s Italy, “Sirio Ristorante is my chance to offer diners an opportunity to experience the cuisine that my family and I enjoy while dining out throughout Italy,” said Sirio Maccioni.

Born and raised in Roncegno, Italy, Executive Chef Massimo Bebber is thrilled to join the Maccioni family legacy with his new position as executive chef at Sirio Ristorante New York. He looks forward to putting his own twist on the restaurant’s seasonal Italian cuisine.

This was clearly not the first and not the last time at Sirio. The quality of food, the selection of the dishes and the really notable wine list make the visit at Sirio every time an absolutely fantastic, unique experience.

I cannot believe how horrible my dining experience was. Service was abominable. I have experienced better a diner. The food was mediocre at best. The wine list was laughably over-priced. The Pierre Hotel should be embarrassed to have this restaurant associated with them. Whether it is Claridges or The Berkeley in London or the great palace hotels of Paris, fine restaurants are associated with hotels of this caliber. If I did not know better, I would have been convinced this was a comedy of the ancient theater. One could have a better experience at one of the rest stops on the New Jersey Turnpike.

Sirio was truly a dining experience. The restaurant was very calming in décor and noise level - the pace of the service was excellent. We were not rushed nor were we ignored - the waiters were very professional yet not cold or unapproachable. The food was elegantly simple in it's presentation so each ingredient added to the wonderful flavor of each dish. We would go back and definitely recommend it to friends.

I was thoroughly satisfied with my recent dining experience at Sirio restaurant. We came here for an Anniversary dinner and we enjoyed every last bite of our meal! The cocktail and wine list was unique and modern, the appetizers were superb (especially the daily special: Burrata, arugula and prosciutto with honey/truffle oil drizzle; and the cremini mushroom soup) the entrees were decadently delicious (definitely try the scallop risotto and the roast chicken) and the desserts were heavenly (best tiramisu I've had in years!). The ambiance was peaceful and romantic yet lively; definitely a great place to celebrate a special occasion. The servers were exceptional and just the right amount of attentiveness. Thank you for a lovely meal, Sirio!

Capping off a long Columbus Day weekend in NYC, my spouse and I treated ourselves to lunch at Sirio Maccioni's (Le Cirque) restaurant in the Pierre Hotel. Sirio's is a stylish eatery in an opulent hotel. The service throughout lunch was impeccable. The food was on par with the service. I selected the baby arugula and artichoke salad, my spouse the buffalo mozzarella with tomato and olive pesto. For our entrée, we chose the lasagne Bolognese and the risotto del giorno, which were prepared with scallops. With a half bottle of the Grigch Chardonnay, cappuccinos for two and a heavenly dessert of bomboloni, (essentially Italian cream puffs) with chocolate dipping sauce, this was a lunch for a special occasion, and special it was!

  • Hotel breakfasts...
    OpenTable Diner Since 2007
    Dined on 8/7/2013
Hotel breakfasts in NYC seem to be a coin toss--sometimes you get amazing ones (a la Breslin at the Ace, Norma's at Le Parker Meridien, Maialino at Gramercy Park Hotel, Standard, etc) and then you get your "we can get away with anything because this is a hotel by Central Park" breakfast. Sirio for breakfast (I am not reviewing based on the other meals) falls squarely within the latter category where the price certainly doesn't reflect the quality of the dishes ($17 muesli that tastes JUST like Trader Joe's and cappuccino that was bubbly instead of having that smooth, silky foam..c'mon really?). If you have guests/clients staying here that don't want to explore further away, well then you are well and truly stuck.

Having been a big fan of Le Caprice (the restaurant that had previously occupied the space) we thought we'd try Sirio - overall it was OK - the meat sauce for my lasagna was excellent but the portion was tiny - this is Italian food and people expect a decent size - mine seemed like appetizer size. The other diners at my table were even less impressed. NYC is a very competitive market, especially for Italian food, with the abundance of other, better restaurants, I can't recommend it - decent bar scene though.

I came to this restaurant for brunch with my mother, after reading some good reviews and expectating at least good food, Sirio was nothing short of a disappointment, food and service were terribly lacking for anything other than a food court / except for the tiramisu, everything was bland and taste was ordinary and our waitress was awfully rude.

We had a fabulous dining experience at Sirio. I took a dear friend there for her birthday. It was Italian Dine Out Week. 3 course dinner for $40! Spaghetti pomodoro appetizer was excellent. Veal piccata with garlic mashed potatoes was yummy. But the best was the tiramisu for dessert. Outstanding service. It was just right. Comfortable, elegant bar, where we sipped proseco before being seated for dinner. Great romantic setting in Pierre Hotel on Fifth Avenue. Will definitely go back with my honey.

From the minute we entered until we left, the entire experience was amazing. Our waiter was very helpful and extremely attentive. Our wine glasses were never empty. The food was excellent and presented beautifully. Strongly recomend. We ordered from the Italian Restaurant Week menu. For a special occasion, the regular menu is not that expensive for a restaurant the caliber of Sirio. Well done.

I'd give 4 stars for service and ambiance and 3.5 stars for food that we had. We took advantage of Italian restaurant week and ordered from that special menu. $40 for each three course meal. Started with a nice Rose ($12) and a Bellini ($16). The Rose was delicious but the Bellini not as good. Appetizers were eggplant in puff pastry (just ok) and artichoke fennel salad (excellent). Main course were spaghetti vongole (just average) and branzini with artichokes (the best I ever had!). Desserts were also very good, tiramusui and semifreddo,

The food was at most average. The risotto was undercooked and salty, my fish was ok(iu=ts difficult to grill bad a fish). the dessert had a mixture of flavor that made it unpleasant. But the wors was that we had a gift cert for $200, we spent with tax and everything $191. We gave the waitress the credit card to give har the tip together with the remaining monet on the cert. She said that they can not return extra money in a cert, so we end up paying $200 plus tip. For me that is stealing. No way we go back to that place.
