We went for a special night out with visiting relatives and had a positive experience. The service was attentive but not rushed and offered helpful suggestions. The food was good and we all loved the magician! I think this is a great local place with special touches that make for a nice evening out.

I mistakenly made reservation for pig roast. Very nice about cleaifying we didn't need it for that. Food was excellent . Went into bar after pig roast(outside) went with old friends. Server ,Jay,was very friendly. The couple of dishes I did see looked very appealing. I'd definitely go back to try the food inside. If anything like the pig roast it will not dissatisfy.

I made my reservation through Open Table, and I received an Open Table reminder 24 hours before, but my reservation didn't show up on Open Table's system at the maitre d's station. The owner, who was greeting and seating patrons, quickly reconfigured a couple tables and made room for the 6 of us with no wait. Sounds like Open Table needs to do a little system debugging.

We have been there several times before and had good food and service. I think they had an off night with both. They didn't use their typical alfredo sauce on the chicken alfredo, which we have had three or four times in the past. It was very bland and had no flavor of butter or cream. Other food was okay, but nothing special. The service was extremely slow. We didn't get our meals for 75 minutes. We were long done with our bread and soup. They no longer include the choice of soup or salad. It's just salad. You have to pay extra for the soup. On the bright side, they did not make us pay for the alfredo dinner and were very apologetic.

Never going back. We got there right on time & still had to wait 10 mins to get seated because the "hostess" (I think she's the owners' mother) was too busy trying to seat people with no reservations & answer the phone. When we were finally seated she gave our 5 yr old an adult menu. I had to go and get a kids menu. We were crammed in to a corner table that was too small for a party of 6 even though the restaurant was nearly empty (wonder why?) The wait staff was adequate. The food is average & does not make up for the poor service. Then I got a "cancellation notice" from the restaurant, through Open Table, saying we never showed up. This was at 11:30 PM! The "hostess" never checked us in & cancelled the reservation! DON'T GO HERE!

While there are many Italian restaurants in the western suburbs, Alianos has a bit of a different flair. It's got a special something with their entrees and their sauces, I can't accurately describe it, you would need to experience it to understand. It's a treat to eat at Alianos with a different taste than the other known Italian restaurants. Highly recommend it!

I have been to Aliano's many times before. I took a friend here last Friday for dinner. We had 7:00 reservations in the main dining room and there was an Elvis impersonator with 3 back-up singers It was so loud that we could barely hear each other, not to mention that my friend had a green disco light flashing in her face! It took 10 mins to be greeted by our waiter and 90 more to get our entrees (pasta). I have never been to a restaurant that has this kind of in-your-face entertainment in the main dining room at peak dinner hours. If it had been later or in the lounge, okay... If you plan on going to Aliano's on a Friday night for dinner, be prepared for slow service and an annoying floor show. I however will not be going back!

My wife and I went here for our first "date" after having our baby. We had never been and thought it was time to give it a try. When we arrived, the hostess was a little frazzled, but we got a nice seat on their patio. The Aliano's Calimary had a decent flavor, but the meat was ehhh. Their house salad was very generic. I think the dressing was homemade, but should probably not be. The main course was really pretty good. Good sauce with noodles cooked very well. Overall, the place is OK, but with all the competition in nearby towns, we will probably not go back.

The seating and first service points were ok, but in between courses there was no follow up and special requests were forgotten. Our server cautioned us that the dishes are cooked to order and take a while to prepare. We did not experience any problem with our order, but other patrons had problems and were having difficulty getting them resolved to their satisfaction.

Extremely slow service and over-cooked food. Big disappointment. Second visit was as bad as the first. Fish was very very dry. Calamari was good, meat and cheese plate was disappointing as well. Took almost 1 hour for our food to arrive. For a newer restaurant the decor is very dated looking.

My wife says to mention our great server Paula right off , she was great. She recommended a moderately price Merlot which we ordered and found to go great with our food. We had a late lunch on a sunny Tuesday and sat outside enjoying the weather as well as the food. Pasta and sauces made fresh, and my octopus was delivered that morning. . My stuffed gnocchi, with mushrooms, was a delight with a wonderful rich spicy arabiatta sauce. . Bobbie's cheese ravioli with marinara were soft yellow pillows of delight. The mozzarella cheese sticks we had as an appetizer were freshly made lightly breaded yummy treats.. It's a very good place with great service and we will be back many time.

Can dress casual to dressy. Prices are fair and you can't go wrong with the daily specials. Have even been known to have wine specials! They also have Sunday Brunch but haven't tried it yet. Have always eaten inside but they have a small patio for dining outdoors. The river is across the street. Nice place to take a romantic walk after dinner!

We ate lunch recently at Aliano's Ristorante, in downtown Batavia, IL. We were seated promptly in the open and attractive dining room, and our friendly and informative waiter brought us the menus, explained the specials, answered questions, and checked back with us throughout the meal. The main course--some had pasta, some sandwiches--was delicious and well-prepared, and we gave into temptation and ordered from their interesting dessert menu. We did not order alcoholic drinks, but the wine list seemed quite varied. Altogether a well-spent two hours, with good food that was well served in a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.

We were there for Mother's Day dinner with a large group. Seated promptly, however service was somewhat slow as the restaurant was packed. It wasn't unbearable, but definitely noticeable as our server constantly was apologizing. Not a huge deal though, I've had much worse. On the bright side, the food was terrific. The calamari and octopus were very tasty and the pasta entrees superb. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. We also enjoyed the lemon sorbet for dessert. Outside of the few service glitches, a very pleasant experience. We will eat here again.

Though initially the restaraunt was busy, this excuse quickly wained. We did not order appetizers and ordered entrees straight off the menu when our drink orders were taken and it took almost an HOUR AND A HALF to get our meal. The waiter only came by ONCE to ask if we wanted another round of drinks. He did do a few 'drive bys' -"everything good?" as he was passing by to another table...though the waiter did apologize verbally for the wait, it was not heartfelt and we were never offered compensation of any kind like a free appetizer or dessert or glass of house wine. Overall a poor experience and will be sure and tell all my friends such. As for the food, two out of the three dinners were just okay, and the third was HORRIBLE. PRICEY

We LOVE the food at Aliano's, and that is why we drove 35 minutes simply to dine there. However, we were seated and had to wait 10 minutes to be greeted by a server or offered water, the noise was very tough to take, and once our dinner was finished and a kind busboy had gotten me a to-go box, we waited 15 minutes in the VERY LOUD restaurant for the server to notice we wanted the check. He walked by us 4 times before noticing we wanted the check. I had to stand up, tell the server I was going outside due to noise, and if he could please give my husband the check, I would appreciate being able to leave. We are 26.

This is the 2nd time we were seated in the middle area, not good at all, when the door opens you get a cold draft of wind/air on you. I had to wear a light coat the entire dinner time. Servers kept hitting the chair I was sitting in because it was so tight. This seating arrangement is very poor. If this continues, it would cause me not to come back to this resturant. The food that was ordered was not delivered all at the same time. In fact they delivered one meal and then came and took it away because it was the wrong order. This was the 3rd time we have been to this resturant. 1. very good, 2, good, 3 poor - based all on service and seating.

They had three singers lined up for the night. We saw the first performer who was great. He sang a lot of Dean Martin and Tony Bennett songs. A Cher performer was next and I can't recall the last performer. The food is very fresh and the entrees come with soup or salad, which is usually an additional fee. There was a $25.00 bottle of select wines special that night.

This was our second time at the restaurant. The food is truely outstanding. Among the best italian we have had in the area. The service, as it was the first time, is just good. We were there on Valentine's Day, which has to be accounted for, but we have found the restaurant does not operate well while they are very busy. I suspect there is less foot traffic most of the time, and when things get real busy, they have trouble handling it. Despite that, the staff was friendly and courteous. A note though, do not order the Banana's Foster. For $10, it is basically just vanilla ice cream with a couple of cut banana's. Barely resembles the true desert.
