  • My wife and i ate their last

My wife and i ate their last night. The experience was very good as we expected from the appearnce. however, Though the food was good, it was not as good as i expected. For example, we had the Grilled Octopus and it was thicker and less charred than i like it. And the oil sauce was not as good as a nearby greek restaurant. Overall, it was a very good experience and we'll return.

  • Terrible. Never will go back again

With the only viable option for exceptional Greek food in east Broward being Greek Isles for many years I was anxious to try Thasos. The first couple nights when they first opened were booked solid so I assumed that they were going to be very good. I can't tell you how disappointed I was. The portions are very small and over priced. And please keep in mind that I am well versed in high end cuisne all the way down to the local dive style restaurants as I used to write a food column for a major newspaper in New England. Once the overpriced, small portioned food arrived, the quality and preparation was mediocre at best. The service was terrible with our appetizers arriving after we finished our entrees and drinks always empty. Bad!!

  • Thasos: Tasty Modern Greek Dining
    OpenTable Diner Since 2006

A moderately to expensively priced restaurant with excellent food and service, and an incredibly beautiful modern decor. Note that the food is often interpretative of classic Greek dishes, which is not a negative. While we did not order any entrees and stuck to many of the appetizers and small plates, the food was consistently great--some of the most perfectly fried calamari I've ever had, a very fresh and not over-dressed Greek salad (heavy on the tomatoes), amazing crab cakes (perfect balance between the meat and the flavorful bindings), freshly made interpretations of Tahini and hummus for the pita. Unique cocktails and wine choices, as well. A nicely mixed crowded, fashionably dressed but not intimidatingly so.

Nice looking place very pretty in white and lit up. Prices are a bit high for what you get. We spent 200 dollars for 4 people and we ordered one entree and the rest were "shareables" plus 1 dessert

I wasn't impressed. It was extremely overpriced for the ok service we got. The food was good but nothing to call home about. The whole table was a little disappointed. I had the moussaka and it was very good, but I expected more eggplant in it.

  • Not your typical Greek restaurant.

Not your typical Greek restaurant. Striking decor-very upscale and with lots of white and very colorful lighting. The food was freshly prepared and presented beautifully. While some of the menu offerings were familiar sounding Greek items the preparation seemed to have a modern twist. Some items that we tried that were particularily good were a Summer Salad with watermelon and feta, a really interesting hummus that was green from fresh garbanzo beans, the best tarmasalata I have ever tasted (not fishy or salty) and a really generous Mousska with lamb. Not an budget dining experience but, in this case, you really get what you pay for: high quality, fresh ingredients.

  • The all white decor is stunning

The all white decor is stunning andost of thdishes we tried were well prepared and executed- in other words not overcooked!! Paticualrly seafood. The only downside that was encountered was the quality of the swordfish that we had to send back to have recooked. Since it is such a thin slice it was grossly overcooked the first time around. Won't order it again - it would be prefereable to serve a smaller, thicker piece. We'll go back to do the bar scene for drinks and apps.

Recently opened and beautifully designed exterior and interior. Valet parking was a little overworked. Greeted by three beautiful, professional hostesses and had pre-dinner drinks in the bar. Great service by Max and excellent drinks. Our party of four enjoyed the appetizers and the entrees were good, but not exceptional. The waiter seemed to be disconnected and tended to ignore us for long stretches of time. I will go back... after they have had a little more time to mature.

  • Way Too Noisy

Our party of four was impressed with the food and ultra-modern decor. Service needs polishing and hopefully that will come soon to this new purpose-built establishment. Maybe I'm getting too old for restaurant dining (61 years): the noise level was deafening. What is the need for recorded music in a restaurant, especially one that has hard surfaces and is crowded? The conversation would give the place an "energetic" noise level (as you euphemistically categorize it).

The restaurant is beautiful, but unfortunately the service is not. There were an abundant amount of servers, but I do not know what they were doing. Server was not knowledgeable about the menu. Food was not hot.

  • Go for the decor, but food&service

They need a lot of improvements about the service and the food. I ordered a pork chop and it was pre-made, then reheated. The center was cold. I sent it back. But it came back almost the same. The waitress was very pushy and pretty much ignored what we asked for. The place is very noisy. All we could hear was the conversation from the end of the restaurant, but our own conversation. They need to improve a lot more in order to survive even the decor is stunning and that is the only thing they can offer.

food and service excellent. The feta cheese dip was spicy as advertised. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection, whether ordered well done or rare. The Greek salad was the best we've had in a long time. It had a lot of very tasty ripe tomatoes; not overwhelmed by cucumbers as we now find in most local Greek restaurants. the restaurant is noisy so if you're going for a quiet romantic dinner, this isn't the place. The restaurant takes reservations and has a complimentary valet service.
