A wonderful dining experience, especially the waiter Bernard, we felt totally welcomed and knew we were in for some comfortable dining. The waiter explained all our options and answered even small questions about what went into our food preparation.

Took my wife to the Colonel's for her birthday. Absolutely fantastic. She - escargots ("tender and succulent") and bone-in cowboy ribeye special ("cooked absolutely perfectly" and "delicious"). Me - stuffed quahog special ("spicy but out of this world") and king cut of prime rib ("ginormous" and "best prime rib I have had in ages"). Our waitress was very attentive but also left us alone to enjoy the romantic setting and the occasion. I can say without a doubt that this is the best restaurant in the Boston - Providence corridor. Not to be missed!

I've heard about the Colonel Blackinton and a friend recommended it to me for Valentine's Day. I'm glad I went with it. The drinks were well-crafted, the food was exquisite, and the service--from the hostesses to the waitstaff--were so friendly. You certainly get what you pay for and I am eager to return for the next experience!

I would like to try this cute gem of a restaurant in Attleboro, MA in the summer when the gardens are in bloom and there is green all around. As far as winter, it was nice to have a local restaurant to go to on a special occasion. The dinner prices we thought were on the high end for the area and the food (my husband and I are foodies and have been to many restaurants). They should add some more moderately priced dinner menu items, so people like us would visit more often. But overall, it was a lovely experience.

This is a great restaurant with great food. Service is always good. It can be good for a romantic dinner if you get a quiet table. The restaurant has a great reputation so it tends to be busy on weekends. Very good place overall!

Special occasion dinner for a birthday, with a party of 6. Each room of the house is like its own semi-private dining room. Setting is elegant yet relaxed. Justin did a great job as our server. He was very knowledgeable of the menu, made great suggestions, but did so in a friendly and personable manner. All three soups (clam chowder, lobster bisque, and French onion) got solid reviews. Snails were delicious. Menu items (roast rack of lamb, baked scallops and chicken parmasean) were cooked perfectly. We also had some of the nightly specials. Dry-aged Black Angus Prime Rib was delicious, with great taste and texture. Seafood stuffed veal chop was excellent. Not much room for dessert, but the Italian bomba was a good finisher.

We have not been to the Blackinton Inn for several years. There was no special occasion, just a night out for a good meal. I made on-line reservations and our table was ready when we arrived. The valet parking was fast and friendly; the wait staff excellent. There was a large party in our room and so the conversation was a little louder than I would have liked but it wasn't too distracting. The Striped Bass with sea scallops and ginger sauce was absolutely excellent. My wife's filet was cooked perfectly. The decor and ambiance couldn't have been better. The meal prices were not unreasonable and well worth the quality we experienced.

My husband and I and another couple enjoyed a fabulous dinner . Three of us got the Snapper Special and it was outstanding. My husband had the rack of lamb and it was delicious . Our server Faraz was very attentive . We usually ask for him when we go to Colonel blackington inn. The food is so good there that you have to make reservations at least a week to a week an a half in advance. I will highly recommend this resturant.

Birthday dinner with husband and another couple. Food is always excellent and had nice time but room we were in was SO warm and the fireplace was not even on. Waitress seemed a little impatient. Did intro quickly but 4 tables in our small room and it took her a while to take come back and take our order as she was busy with the other tables. There were so many specials I think it took her 10 minutes to read each one at each table so she seemed a little short. Anyway it's expensive but nice for a special occasion.

Always great food and service (Bernard was gracious and efficient). The culinary crew does a great job, but it's obvious there isn't a pastry chef in the house. Dessert options fairly limited and molten chocolate cake was warm (microwaved?), a little rubbery and there was nothing "molten" about it (except some chocolate sauce in the bowl). We'll definitely return, but order appetizers and skip dessert.

As we do annually we host a brunch for our extended family in lieu of giving individual gifts. This was our first year at the Colonel Blackinton. Though 13 of us adults with three kids were in one room & four of us additional adults were in the room two rooms away, a great time was had by all! Our servers Bernard & Melissa as well as the front room staff Alison & Lauren did a wonderful job accommodating all of our needs.

Over the next ten days I'lll have been at the Inn dining with different groups four times (one dinner, one lunch, two Sunday brunches...) that should tell you a bit about what i think about the spot. Save for the Sunday brunch's set up being quite cramped and the omelet station cook who is not very personable the service is superb. I imagine a senior person's talking to him will rectify the problem.

We had a dozen guests for my father's 80th birthday, and the staff did an outstanding job making the evening so special. We worked ahead of time so my dad could have his favorite cake, and there were lovely little touches like special menu cards at each setting. But what really impressed us what how delicious the food was - the meats were especially beautifully cooked. This is a charming, special place that's worth the trip.

My wife and I originally were here for our wedding shower in their function room which was a great experience. We decided to try dinner in the regular restaurant this time and were blown away. The interior reminded me of a homier Ruth's Chris at the former state house in Boston. Our server Justin was fabulous. Very energetic, funny, and passionate but also knew to leave you alone at times to let you relax and enjoy the meal. Then there was the food...... I was blown away. Top quality meats, I had the chicken parm and it was the best I've ever had. We will absolutely be going back, especially since most entrée prices were reasonably priced for the quality and it's a 1,000 point restaurant to boot! We will be back very soon!
