It is a great upscale restaurant. I was disappointed however, that it is more upscale than it is Greek. If my goal is to eat traditional Greek food I will still head to Greektown for Ikaros.

We looked forward to our first trip to Ouzo Bay but were very disappointed. The food was bland, improperly prepared and unremarkable in every way. The drinks were small and weak. Everything was overpriced. The only bright spot was the outstanding service. We will not return.

My boyfriend & I went to Ouzo Bay for our anniversary. We were excited to go since it was new & looked really nice. When we got there, it's actually a lot smaller than it appears in the pictures online. It was very noisy. Our waitress was good but not what you'd expect. The food was a rip off. I can get better and more Greek food at restaurants in Highland town than at Ouzo Bay. You can also go to other fancier restaurants, pay just as much but get a lot more food. The salad was great. The half roasted chicken wasn't anything special, neither was my boyfriends steak. They gave us each only ONE piece of a potato on the side...ONE PIECE OF A POTATO! We couldn't order the green beans because they were out. Overall, very overpriced.

This was our third time there. It's our new favorite spot. Grilled octopus, grilled lobster, lamb chops, and simple grilled fish were all spectacular. The restaurant has a south beach Miami vibe. Definitely the new in place in town and that's going to be the case for a long time. Love this place.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2009
    Dined on 10/6/2012
I have eaten here twice now. Every time, the food is amazing and bursting with flavors. For appetizers, grilled sausages are delicious, grilled octopus surprisingly tasty and tender, calamari also fresh. Moussaka is a huge portion, not completely traditional with a few twists. Chilean sea bass was literally the best fish I ever had. It was perfectly seared and crispy on the outside and juicy and buttery on the inside. For my mother-in-law's birthday, with the chocolate cake was an elaborate swan made of sugar made in-house by the pastry chef. The only problem was that our server was covering a third of the restaurant on a busy Saturday night, which was like 70 people. So even though she was excellent, service was slow.

    Dined on 10/1/2012
The atmosphere is fantastic. Very beautiful space. The whole fish that was served to me wasn't hot, but just warm and had little to no flavoring. Customers should be able to choose a sauce or style to have their fish cooked in. For $40+ for a fish, it had better be much better cooked and probably a little larger and more impressive looking. There are too many other places to get better fish at lower prices. The service was not bad, but staff didn't seem as knowledgable or professional as they should be for such a high end restaurant.

Excellent food - we enjoyed everything! Service was excellent, and the majority of the food was really good. For the appetizers: outstanding were the Lamb meatball appetizer, fried calamari and the grilled calamari. The octopus was ok, but I thought the baked feta could have been better. Four of us had the Seafood Plaki, which was very good, and my husband had the King Prawns which he said were the best ever. The last dish we had was the Lamb Giouvetsi - also very good. For me the only dessert that was outstanding was the Galaktoboureko. The Ravani, Chocolate cake and Karidopita were OK, nothing special. But overall, I thought the place was great! Definitely will be back.

You must go. I look for excellent food, beautiful ambience and a sturdy wine selection. This place has it in spades. The grilled Octopus was phenominal paired with a bright Santorino. The mussels were also good and the crab cake didn't disappoint but the octopus was out of this wrold. It sits right on the harbor and has beautiful decor is fresh blues and whites, with almost a seaglass feel.

Walking into Ouzo Bay, the scene is like nothing else in Baltimore. I feel like I'm on a mini vacation, with an open floor plan and great lighting separating the space into comfortable vignettes while still having a cohesive, inviting feel. The food is impeccable Greek cuisine, sticking to the traditional method of simple seasoning and only the freshest ingredients. My favorite menu option is the whole grilled fish selection. The fresh fish display does not disappoint, you can taste the quality in every bite. For appetizers I highly recommend the avogolemono soup, octopus and grilled langostinas. Ask Julian for cocktail/wine suggestions, he is extremely knowledgeable. And don't forget to top off your meal with a baklava by the pastry chef!

One's first impression is of a comfortable elegance ambiance set by the open indoor-outdoor dining space, by the multiplicity of subdued lights and by the warm textured walls. This carried through to the food and service. The octopus appetizer was beautifully grilled and the lamb entrees beautifully prepared, but almost over shadowed by the presentation and taste of the pastry deserts. An experience to return to.

My experience at ouzo bay is very mixed. The server was kind and knowledgeable but service itself was slow. My wine glass was empty most of the time as I waited for the serve to retrieve our bottle from 3 tables away. The food was great, but with the exception of the octopus nothing was outstanding as you would expect at such high prices. The outdoor seating was fantastic but the majority of it looked out at a parking lot. The decor was fabulous and modern. I especially liked the lighting fixtures. So yes I would go back but it wouldn't be my first choice. I guess it's hard to complete ith Samos' food which is cheap, plentiful and just like yia ya's, but ouzo bay can not be matched for it's atmosphere. So yes my opinion is mixed.

This is a new restaurant and felt as such. The service was not bad, but the wait staff did still seem to be working out some kinks in the system. The food was mixed, appetizers (mussels and zucchini chips) were quite good while the main course (lobster tails) were over cooked. The atmosphere was pleasant, but the bar had all of the sliding doors open to the outside, which while providing a nice breeze, also let the noise from a carnival being set up a couple of blocks away drown out any hope of carrying on a conversation while the carnival blared loud music. I would give this one a couple of months to work out the kinks then maybe give it another shot.

I have waited for this restaurant to open. I love Greek food. The restaurant has a great setting. The decor is very well done. However, I was somewhat disappointed in the food. The food was not bad, it just didn't measure up to the venue. I started with the Avgolemono soup. I found it to be too thick and somewhat starchy. I then had the octopus. It had a very good taste, but the octopus should have been more tender. on the other hand, my wife had the chicken kabob and really enjoyed her meal. I am going to attribute the food faults to still getting things right in the kitchen, so I will give Ouzo Bay another chance. I so want this to be a good Greek restaurant.

I feel thus Greek restaurant run by a family involved with this business did very poorly. I understand it has only been open a few weeks. Our meal took about two hours to come to the table. The first two appetizers arrived within half hour of us sitting and the Greek salad took about forty minutes after that. One of the young owners came over to ask if everything was well and I commented that our food was taking a very long time. He never returned to our table. I did catch him watching from a short distance a few times. The food was extremely salty. The bronzino was excellent. I noticed people who knew the owners coming in and getting their food right away with wonderful service. I wish I them. Go to Mezze! Better!,
