My experience at the Ranch was wonderful. Everyone was so attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. Mike the manager was very friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. Mine our server was great. He knew his menu very well and made some wonderful suggestions for us. We had John the sommelier prepare a wine pairing with our meal and he did fantastic. Everything i had was wonderful and prepared beautifully. The mussels and the Grand Marnier souffle were amazing.

My last experience here was a 5 star two years ago. This year was a great disappointment. The first class service was not there and the food was below average. The steaks were tough and the one which was ordered rare was way over cooked. The soup was cold and was mistakenly served before the appetizer. The dessert was okay but the room it was served in was so cold next to the windows you wanted to put a coat on. This is a high priced restaurant which I was willing to pay for but this experience was far below my previous experiences and that of friends I have recommended it to. I would not recommend it again until I hear things have vastly improved.

The Ranch is one of those places, that defines food fit for foodies. Each course was spectacular, in presentation, taste, and use of seasonal ingredients. Do yourself a favor, and do the 5 course chefs dinner, you can choose anything you want, and every course was spectacular!! The wine list is extensive, and has many hidden gems at reasonable prices, I am guessing, they do not raise the prices as the wines age. This is a terrific value for those who know their vintage favorites! I found a nice bottle of a 2000 Bordeaux for $45.

Very expensive for quantity and quality of food. Salad wilted, stale dessert taste, best part of one 5 course meal was the soup, venison filet was excellent, service extremely slow with very long wait periods between the courses. Needed more staff so service might have been better. Maitre 'd was very friendly. Be ready for the resort charge to be added to your bill even though you are not staying there.

The Ranch is always a special dining experience--from the atmosphere of the lovely dining room to the incredible dessert souffles! Our waiter (Paul I think) was so attentive and professional. One in our party was celebrating her birthday and they created a beautifully decorated greeting on a china plate to come with her dessert. Speaking of dessert, it is served in the comfortable living room, where a blazing fire adds to the Colorado mountain feeling.

My husband & I both ordered the 5 course meal. The app, soup & salad were absolutely excellent, as was the bread basket they brought to the table. We were not as impressed with the entrees. The duck was a little salty & the buffalo steak was a little tough. I'd definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone though. Very good.

Great restaurant, but since it was not busy the service seemed a bit sloppy (rolls served after appetizers??, waited too long before coming for dinner order). Certainly a top tier restaurant, and while we enjoyed it, we were not overly impressed.

The restaurant though basically beautiful, it had a "tired" feeling to the decor. It could use a bit of a "face-lift" possibly in updated accessories, such as lighting, seating furniture, front entrance was not very welcoming--much like cheaper restaurants. The wait staff was just average. We asked our waiter to take a group picture and she was a bit harsh as she was busy (on a slow night). She never did come back to take our picture. Lastly, the food was OK but not as good as expected. I told the waiter that the main entree meat was tough and odd flavor. Two other people at my table agreed. When asked if we liked the entree, I said I could not eat the meat. The waiter said she was going in to tell the chef, but that was it.

At the end of a beautiful mountain road, we arrived at Keystone Ranch Restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed what is best described as an elegantly rustic dining experience. The food was delectable, from the carefully crafted appetizers to a main dish that would rival any "foodie" locale. The best part of the meal, though, was dessert. Our waiter told us to grab our things, and he led us into the original ranch house, with a huge stone fireplace and comfortable couches and tables. It was there that we read about the history of the ranch house and finished a superb meal with their signature souffle. Small touches, such as complimentary champagne and chocolate-designed strawberries for our anniversary, were fabulous. We left feeling cared for.

Ive been to The Ranch a few times now, the first two were great. This time, not so much. It felt like the staff were not traing, or not very thoughtful. Only took one persons drink order, then walked away. The wine and water bottles were out of site, so we didn't know what was left. The portions have gotten noticeably smaller. The ambiance was great and it was so nice that they let us stay late and have a long talk with friends. We didn't leave until 1am I'll certainly go back, and give it one more chance

  • Customer Service Somewhat Lacking
    OpenTable Diner Since 2008

3 of our 4 meals (venison) were well received. The buffalo soup and rabbit appetizers were also delicious. However, the buffalo entree was a bit on the tough side. The worst part was when our waiter, Jeremy, was alerted to the toughness of the buffalo, his response was to ask if it was cooked medium as I asked. No remedy was offered. From my perspective, this was non-responsive to my concern and demonstrates a lack of customer service. If there is any reason to dine out it is for great food and excellent service. This treatment by Jeremy missed the mark. For that reason, I left the restaurant unsatisfied. Fortunately, the rest of our party was happy with their meals, so I am obligated to provide an overall very good rating. Ron

Beautiful, wonderful gem of a place fit for romantic or special occasion. So happy I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. The food and service and ambiance was fantastic. Cozy, rustic but also high level fine dining. Colorado foodie delight! Would recommend highly to anyone wanting a lovely evening. The 5 course dinner was very reasonable for the quality of food and service. Thank you Keystone Ranch!

We have visited the Ranch before and each time it just gets better! We were celebrating joint birthdays and our children's anniversaries and the evening was as special as we had hoped. The service was friendly but professional, the food was delicious with a very reasonable five course menu and we ended our evening with dessert and coffee in their historic original ranch room. I highly recommend the Ranch.

Keystone Ranch came highly recommended. We will definitely recommend to others. Our wait staff seemed bored and disappointed in the fact we didnt order the 5 course meal. We were seated next to a very loud table in an otherwise pretty empty dining room. I guess that is the price we paid for the best view.

Came to have a special night with my family as it was my husband's 50th birthday. When we walked in we saw two workers in conversation by the hostess stand. We waited for a while for someone to greet and seat only to find out that the person seating us was the one that made us wait until they were done chatting with their co-worker. Not a great start! Food and service from there on was great. The only other big negative was the group that was VERY loud (we were the only two tables in the place) It started out just loud but by the time we got to the desert room they were joyously swearing and commenting how great it was that they had the whole place to themselves. I realize this was not The Ranches fault but still....
