I loved the cozy atmosphere and the duo of two cooking in the kitchen. The food was delicious. The sunchoke soup was served at the perfect temperature and the kale salad was so fresh! We were daring and tried pork cheeks with a pasta that was flavorful. The duck was a little to rare but we did not send it back as we wanted to eat it the way the chef prepared it! All in all it was an eating experience with lots of wonderful tastes to enjoy! The service was friendly and accomodating in every way! It was truley a special evening!

The chef worked at top Chicago chef Grant Achatz's restaurants Alinea and Next. The Grove is oriented towards more of a “cutting edge” style of menu. If you're uncomfortable outside traditional fare, this is not for you. That being said, the food is excellent! It’s served at a slow pace, which is not suprising given the small kitchen staff, and that virtually everything on the menu is prepared to order. The menu is limited, but 3 of us all found something different we liked. We cross-sampled and everyone agreed – the food is superb. There are a few tables outside. We sat indoors in a very comfortable and pleasant room (and quiet). The restuarant is very small - reservation recommended. This is a must go for Foodies in Delray.

Started with an appetizing Brioche with enough butter (I hate when restaurants give you a tiny butter portion). Ricotta Gnocchi, Bronzino and Doughnuts with Pot de Creme for me. Portobello soup and veal and a great glass of wine for hubby. The care with which this food is prepared is memorable. Portion warning: if you're looking for a large meal, you will not get it here. Perfect for me and hubby. The dessert was enough to share, however. I try just to "taste" desserts to cut down on calories but I COULD NOT LEAVE A MORSEL of this dish. The best meal we had during two weeks in the Boca area. Tiny place where they can pay attention to you.

Space is small but very well decorated and modern. The menu was limited but quite good. The mushroom soup was rich but not cream based and was very good. The duck was cooked to perfection and the filet was also cooked asked - not all restaurants get this right. Good wine list - the wait staff knows it and is very helpful. Friendly atmosphere - got to talking with patrons at other tables - and we had a lovely dining experience.

This is a very small intimate space with only nine tables including three that are outdoors. The staff was cordial and welcoming. They only turn their tables over once in an evening so you can linger over their wonderful food and not feel rushed. The kitchen is open and accessible and they encourage you to interact with the kitchen staff. The meal started with fresh-baked brioche. Our party ordered lamb and halibut and they were both wonderful. They baked a special birthday cake for one of us and it was outrageously delicious. I hope they can succeed in such a small space but we will be regular visitors.

Interesting, tasty, and well-prepared food on a small, but interesting menu. Superb service, something often not found in trendy Delray. Stylish and sophisticated atmosphere. Conducive to table talk without too much competition from speakers. Excellent wine list, with wines by the glass that provided the first clue that I was really going to like this place. And I've been back many times.

The Grove is my favorite restaurant. Paul will greet you, and you will be happy he did, as he creates the perfect ambiance. The chef is a genuis. The food is fine and ouzzing with class. I know this sounds like a perculiar way to describe food, but fine and classy it is. On my last visit I had an appetizer of shrimp, watermelon and avocado which was light and gently thrilled my palate with sweet and savory flavors. The main course I chose was halibit with vanilla foam surrounding the fish, adorned with whole sweet baby onions slightly carmelized and small round balls of apple spiced to perfection. The wine by the glass is always right on for your food choices and dessert is heavenly. I was being good so I passed. GO!

I heard great things about this place and was not disappointed. The Octopus appetizer was as tender as I have ever had. Service was spot on from the the host to the waiter. No complaints at all from service, food quality or wine selection. Although my first three choices of wine were sold out. Only one gripe was that the fish was a bit overcooked for me but all the flavors were there. Highly recommend.

Amazing ambiance. Very intimate and romantic. Tuna appetizer was great and the presentation was awesome. Best bread and butter I've ever had. Small menu and portions. Just enough food to satisfy you and left room for drinks on the Ave. Flank steak and potatoes were very tastful but on the chewy side. Love the utencils. Not the best place for picky eaters but great for those more adventurous. Co-owner Paul was very welcoming and made me want to come back.

Paul the host is a gentleman and genuinely funny guy. Christine has been our server for each of our visits and she has a heart for hospitality. The ambient is California cool with great use of wood, stone and glass in the decor. It's refreshing. The weekly updated but small menu has great flavored choices using fresh I gredients and house made staples. My wife and I have different and varied tastes but neither has been disappointed or bored with our food selections. Wine list is small but easily paired with the menu. This place is small, maybe seats 32 full. You feel welcome and leave satisfied. Lots of familiar SoFl faces when we have been there.

Only 4 entrees and 4 appetizers on the menu. Very limited The "highly recommended" short ribs were stringy and tasteless, and were readily taken back by the host. The new preparation was much better, so I'm not sure what happened in the kitchen the first time. As dinner was $148 for two, without wine or dessert, it is not an inexpensive evening.

The Grove is a great addition to Pineapple Grove and we'll definitely be back. The menu is creative and always changing, great wine selection, the owners walked around making sure everything was going well, and I did like the cozy setting. The food was solid. We loved the bread, the gnocchi was light and pillowy -- some of the best I've had, the seafood was fresh and I loved the addition of the peanut butter cookies at the end.

My husband and I love this place. It's a small, quiet haven right off Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach. You can enjoy the energy of downtown but avoid the crowds and craziness that defines many of the restaurants on the main drag. Everything from the decor to the music is just right. Great environment to have a meal with a loved one or friends. The food is always fresh because they change their menu every week. Always something different, but consistently delicious. Hands down, favorite restaurant in Delray.

A much needed and welcome addition to Delray. Grove is simple yet sophisticated, and most importantly delicious. Set-off from the hectic throngs of Atlantic Avenue, Grove is everything that your typical downtown Delray restaurant is not. Grove has smartly traded in the dreadful requisite "martini menu" for a great wine selection both by the glass and the bottle. Instead of a ten-page menu of ubiquitous selections The Grove has carefully paired down their weekly menu to focus on a small selection of local and seasonal options. A well-made risotto with veal cheek (did not benefit from the black truffle who's age and quality resulted in it having lost much of its earthiness) was delicious nonetheless. The lamb was cooked perfectly.

This will be the first negative review I have EVER written. I feel obligated to do so for the benefit of other diners and as an opportunity for The Grove to have a chance of survival in the very competitive Delray restaurant community. When our group of well traveled friends (who by the way, are all foodies with sophisticated palates and all without any budgetary restrictions) have an evening to share, we rarely place the success of the experience on the "food, cost of food, or quantity of food." Our motto is, "it is not the food nor the place we dine that typically determines the "success" of our experience, but rather the friends we dine with." The Grove- snooty management, limited menu, over-priced, and downright rude. Dr

While The Grove is a small restaurant with a limited menu, it certainly satisfies. The menu seems to vary from night to night. On the particular night we went we each were able to find dishes that appeased us. Each of us started with a fresh green salad, which was rather plain, but tasty. I had the scallops, which were cooked to perfection. One of my dining companions had the tilefish, which she enjoyed and my other dining companion had a salmon appetizer that looked divine. While the limited menu may hinder me from returning, The Grove was certainly worth checking out once.
