  • Not so good for business lunch

Not a very good place for business lunch. I've heard that it has a good bar scene and I can see that it has good stuff for that, however, they played the music at lunch as if it were Happy Hour. It was too loud for a comfortable business lunch. The food was excellent, but portions for an individual item are a bit small.

  • Careful with your allergies

I have to say that even though I really enjoyed the restaurant feel, I had a horrible experience with our waitress.I have food allergies & have to be VERY careful on what I eat. Each time I asked questions about the food and what was in it, I got a bad attitude from our waitress. It was like I was putting her out of her way to help me understand the menu. The more I asked, the worse she got.I had to take medicine when I got home due to a reaction to the food.I understand that people without allergies have a hard time dealing with our restrictions, but I tried to be as nice as possible, and her attitude was horrible. It was my first time & will give it 1 more try - hopefully we won't have the same waitress again!

  • Euclid has an excellent beer
    OpenTable Diner Since 2010
    Dined on 3/5/2013
Euclid has an excellent beer selection and their 5280 menu was vast. Service was just ok. Waited 40 minutes for a table, even though we had a reservation, and then we were seated in the bar at a narrow high top on bar stools. Our server was constantly looking over her shoulder at her other guests, didn't seem too interested in answering our questions about the menu. The food was delicious though and I may give it another try, though the staff did leave a bad taste in my mouth.

  • Too loud!
    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 3/5/2013
Our goal at restaurant week is to sample new food and new places with friends and to share our reactions. We liked (not loved) most of what we had at Euclid but the music was literally painfully loud. We couldn't talk about the food or anything else and I saw my friends slump back in their chairs, overwhelmed by the barrage. I know we weren't alone in this because they finally turned the music down and we hadn't complained. If the food had been absolutely spectacular the night might have been passable but it was only interesting -- not great, and the noise ruined the evening.

Came here with a Denver-based friend during Denver Food Week. We read through the large list of participating restaurants and when I mentioned Euclid Hall he stopped me and off we went. Food was very good, I really enjoyed every dish that was brought to the table, as I tried my dishes and my friend's dishes. Would definitely return.

Tried Euclid Hall for the first time during Denver Restaurant Week 2013 and was BEYOND impressed. One of our appetizers was the marrow bone, which was amazingly good, but what really impressed us was when a server brought us one of their sausages on the house because "the chef decided your marrow bone wasn't up to par, so he is having it made again." Talk about excellent service! Will absolutely be back to Euclid Hall.

SOOOOOOOO loud. And, after tonight, I have decided that hipsters are the bain of my existence. The food was mediocre, the server was great, but the atmosphere in general is one that we would NEVER go back. We were yelling to hear each other, and I am certain I have no idea what our server said. At all, ever. Sorry Jen....your other two restaurants are outstanding, but this one has two real food lovers leaving with a taste of annoyance in their mouths. We will NEVER be back.

Great creative food here. They have new items such as Thai fried pig ears, duck poutine which is fantastic, and an extensive beer and drink list. The smore's pot de creme was beyond expectation. I will definitely be back to try more of the poutine dishes here! It's loud, don't come here expecting a quiet romantic evening. Be prepared for excellent and loud 90's rap as the "background" music and bring your creative and adventurous appetite!

With 5280 week, they did well, however we had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation time which made us late. Also, no good area to wait - felt very in the way & no spot @ the bar. Then the hostess couldn't find me. The waitress was excellent though.

  • Food is ALMOST worth the wait
    OpenTable Diner Since 2012
    Dined on 3/2/2013
Good thing the food and beer was life altering because I was ready to walk out when we first arrived. I made a reservation (like one MUST do if they wish to have dinner at a reasonable hour) and still had to wait almost 30 minutes before being seated. Everyone is cramped and standing on the stairs. We got to hear walk-ins would have to wait 4 hours before a table would open up for them. So I guess in hindsight, the 30 minute wait wasn't so bad. But still, I'm annoyed that I had to wait that long with a reservation. I had the pigs cheek putine which was very good - go to the Midwest if you want the best poutine. But my boyfriend had the sausage sampler and they were amazing! If you like pig products in casing - this place is a must.

We dined here during 5280 week.. there was a bit of a wait, even with a reservation, which is normally fine, but the only place to stand was on the stairs. That was kind of awkward. Once we were seated we ended up not being able to have a conversation without yelling, upstairs was extremely loud. I assume this was a direct result of 5280 week. The food was wonderful though, I recommend the Chicken & Waffles - not your normal southern chicken & waffles but still delicious. Desert was great as well, had a waffle ice cream sandwich. I'd recommend this place, just not when it is crazy busy...

Went for Denver Restaurant Week. Everyone thought it was very good. My appetizer, Spicy Pigs Ear, was excellent as was the entree Cashew Crusted Coba with baked acorn squash & Frisee. Subtle flavors on the squash & Frisee were very pleasant! The Smoked Chocolate Struedel was superb! Some might be turned off to the Pigs Ear, but the adventuresome should definitely try them. They are julienned, slightly spicy, chewy, & really tasty & fun! We all will definitely go back for the Pigs Ear. Our friend had the Po Boy with Oyster which he said was a bit disappointing only because the oysters were not crispy....which is what he likes. He tried bites from everyone else including the french fries and thought everything else was excellent!

I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is tired of the usual. They have very different types of meals and the drinks were equally as good as the food. The chicken and waffles were my favorite food that we tried this evening, but we also enjoyed the cheese curds with the buffalo ranch as well. A little more on the expensive side, but it was worth it. We will be back soon to try the patio seating as it was too cold to sit outside.

Euclid Hall has become our #1 spot over the past year. Unfortunately our last visit was not one of their shining moments. The Food was spot on as usual. But the room was a little unsettled, our server less than stellar. He was virtually invcisible for half the evening. We had to ask for change from one of our tabs three times. The rest of the staff seemed aware our situation and scrambled to make up the difference. We had taken in first timers, so we were a little embarassed. Overall, still a decent evening!
