For standard American Food, this place is great and curbes your appetite especially before a plane ride (5 minutes from the airport). The kruse burger is well balanced and loaded with creamy avocado, peppered bacon and a medium rare burger patty. Fries aren't very good here but there salad is delicious.

I had the Fajitas, a disk I consider to be pretty defined as seared meat + onions + peppers served with a combination of sides and tortillas that you put together yourself. But the fajita plate I got wasn't sizzling it was swimming with large pieces of steak that I had to cut up in order make them fit in the tortilla. Seems like a nice place but not really a place that lit me up.

I was apprehensive after reading some less-than-ideal reviews, but I must say - my experience was outstanding! The Prime Rib was perfectly cooked, the side dishes tasty and perfectly done. The dinner salad was a bit large, but so well done that I welcomed the extra. Dessert - Apple Crisp - was to die for! Add attentive (but not intrusive) service and I'd have to say Stanford's is my new BFF for upscale dining. Espresso was prompt, properly made, and delicious. You could certainly pay more elsewhere, and get more pretension, but the experience I had compares well with any of the upscale Seattle restaurants.

We tried the Rib Eye which tasted like terriyaki beef jerky. My five year old put it best "Mom ... I have to keep chewing and chewing and chewing and chewing. Why is the meat so tough?" Spinach and Artichoke dip was good House salad was decent size Prime Rib was ok (again meat not tender) Not worth the money.

Stanford's is a good all around restaurant with excellent prices. The restaurant is never crowded, the bar is separated from the restaurant by a wall so the restaurant is quiet and the servers are always courteous and professional.

We went for Father's Day dinner and were expecting the reaturant to be crowded...it wasn't. Staffing looked to be reasonable. It took 15 minutes to see our server and another 30 minutes for the food to arrive. We rarely saw the server. Also, the room was very noisy which meant that we had to increase our speaking volume to have a conversation.

The crab and artichoke sandwich was very disappointing because it had very little crab, almost undetectable, and very few pieces of artichoke either. It was only edible because of the sauce which was tasty. The tomato soup was delicious, although served only lukewarm. My husband reported that the Kobe beef burger was quite bland and the meat crumbly and would not stay in the bun. Overall a very disappointing experience as it was a celebratory meal following our son's college graduation.

I was able to get a reservation for that same evening for a party of 5 which was convenient. The food was very good and the waitresses were friendly and helpful. We had a table in the back and it was quiet. Overall it was a pleasant experience. One of the nicer restaurants around the mall area.

I hadn't been to Stanford's in years and my husband had never there - we live in Tacoma and Southcenter is a bit of a drive. Since several of our favorite places in Tacoma have closed, we expanded our search to Southcenter and I remembered Stanford's when I saw it on a list on Open Table. I suggested we try it for dinner and we are so glad we did. Our server Devin was great - we'll ask for her the next time! And I was impressed that, when my filet mignon was brought out, I was asked to cut into it to make sure it had been cooked to my specifications - at all the places I have been in the past, no one has ever done that. The filet was amazing - I'll definitely order that again. We were impressed with everything - our new favorite!

We had a group of five, and everyone had a very good meal. The tri-tips are one of their staple offerings and prepared to order. Two of us had steaks, tender and tasty, and the others had salmon and fish and chips. We shared a chocolate dessert that was very satisfying. The ambiance here is rather like a nice club--lots of wood, lots of comfortable booths. Also, it's on the way home from SeaTac for us, so we stop in often when a family member is visiting.

I was pleasantly suprised by this place. The food was very good and so was the survice. It offered an upscale experience, although I must say the wine list is a bit lacking. Also, it's a bit pricey, but that is expected at a an upscale place like this.

Food was just OK. Coleslaw had an off taste. French fries were limp. Ribs were average, about like I cook them myself. Service was bad. It took 45 minutes for the onion appetizer, one hour for the entry and 15 minutes for the desert. My coffee was refilled once so it was oold most of the time. The waitress was around often but didn't do anything. We took utensils from the next table since we didn't have any (four people). I used my steak knife to cut up the appetizer and it was taken away and never replaced. Had to borrow the wifes. For $63 for the two of us, we weren't happy.

This unfortunately was a not so great experience. Beside a problem with the menu..ie not having things on there that said they had... (2 types of vodka, one stopped carrying, also a side dish they didn't bother to remove or say didn't have and still delivered dish. (sweet potatoes.) They also described a pork medallion dish that didn't bother to mention was breaded (not great for gluten intolerant)) then tried to make right by giving me something else, that they ended up CHARGING me for. Overall, weak in customer service.

This was a restaurant we'd wanted to try and was convenient to meet up with my daughter and her family. While it didn't initially appear to be "kid friendly" (looked a bit upscale for dining with little ones), this turned out to be a perfect place for EVERYONE in the family to enjoy a meal. I expected wonderful food for the adults but was delighted to find that kids were given choices not usually found elsewhere. Rather than the humdrum chicken fingers, burgers, fries (who wouldn't be bored and act up with only those to select from?) our little guys dined on al fredo and grilled salmon - much more to their liking. The waitstaff was so attentive and thoughtful, especially for the little guys, that our entire event was wonderful!

I have enjoyed going to Stanfords many times in the past so we thought it was a good idea to go there for a holiday dinner. Not this time though. We waited over an hour to get our food and other guests that came afer us were served before us, with complimentary plates. I overheard the manager who took the time to speak to other tables and apologize for the delay and failed to check on us. After an hour (from the time we finished our appetizers), I finally asked another waitress when we could expect our food and in minutes time, we got our food. I don't get why it was so long! And no apology either. Food and service just weren't worth the wait. I understand the crazy holiday events but still!

Food and service was good. However, there was absolutely no presentation when it came to the food. Steak, mashed potatoes, and vegetables just plopped on a plate. The food was good, not to die for though. The baked Brie we ordered as an appetizer was warm on the outside, but not all the way to the middle.
