Delicious not so traditional French food in this warm and tiny restaurant. Great service by a friendly, very French, staff. Will be back for sure!

Our experience at Bouche was fantastic. Bouche offers a small-plate experience of southern French cuisine. The highlights were the salmon with egg and creme fraiche (oh my!), the fougasse (which that night had bacon baked into the bread), and the calamari (perfectly sauteed with an ample hint of citrus). The only drawback is that the space is tiny, so you are up close and personal with other diners -- but the food is just out of this world.

The food and service are great here, but it's way too small, and way too dark to enjoy what is offered. We didn;t get our table until a good 30 minutes after the reservation time, and while the host was quite pleasant about it, they just have too few tables to turn over in anything like the kinds of draw that their food provides.

I ate at Bouche because some friends in the area recommended it. I was really amazed at the quality of the food. Everything we had was unique, delicious and memorable. The service was in kind, and it all made for a wonderful dining experience that I was honestly not expecting that evening. In a city rich with wonderful dining, Bouche manages to stand out and stand alone in its originality. I'll be back, without question.

I had the Chicken stuffed with Chard and served in a wonderful sauce with fingerling potatoes. The Halibut was cooked perfectly and the fresh herbs and kale were really a perfect combo! The Sardine salad was delicate and delicious and beautiful! The service was flawless on a very busy night - nice wine list too!

Food is amazing .. we had the Green Garlic soup, omg, melted in my mouth .. real grilled sardines, not out of a can, deLISH .. and Guillaume is a master wine chooser, you can tell him a flavor you're in the mood for and he'll recommend the perfect wine. From upstairs you can see what's being cooked downstairs, way cool view. Loved it!

Cute little place over the Stockton Street Tunnel. Little being the operative word. Food well and carefully prepared. They get fish right so I'm happy. Service friendly and low key. Better than most of the spots currently riding the trend wave. It's close so I'll be stopping by every couple of weeks.

This place is REAL. No pretense, just sincere people serving fantastic food in a charming spot. I took my girlfriend for her birthday and we had a great meal. Very romantic. The service was genuine and personal (which you would expect from a place with no more than 30 seats), but they didn't smother us either. The kitchen is no bigger than three cooks in a canoe, but the food was delicious, it came out well paced, and with beautiful presentation. Three courses with two beers and two glasses of wine was around $120. However, the menu was as scalable as it was tempting, and another night we could have easily spent as little as $50 OR as much as $200+ (depending on wine), so I wouldn't say its just for special occasions. Will return soon.

I really wanted to like this restaurant and envisioned it becoming a favorite. The host/owner is affable and the space is intimate. The price point is reasonable with a small but eclectic menu. We had the duck confit with baby beets appetizer which was ample and very tasty; lots of confit and well dressed. Our waiter was excellent; very prompt and attentive. At issue were the entrees which I found lacking. I had the halibut with a tarragon pesto and nut crust. The fish was tasty but overdone and mushy. My partner had the lamb; good but a tablespoon of mashed potatoes (really?!). After, I walked down Stockton to see the new Charlie Palmer restaurant; for $6.00 more, portions twice the size; and the Palmer name. Just sayin.

Our night at Bouche was like being transported to France. It was an electric energy, pulsating from the walls. The staff was charming and enthusiastic. The flutter of conversation and laughter from surrounding tables was infectious. The tight quarters made you feel even more like you had been whisked away to an enchanted city, like Paris. The food was elegant and refined. We particularly enjoyed the Sardines with grapefruit. Surprisingly fresh and playful. Rounded out perfectly by that sweet bite of grapefruit, and was a fun way to add some acid. Was introduced to 'Sheep weed,' a micro green that danced on our plate. The wine list was not impressive, but it did not disappoint either. We will be back, for sure!
