I know this is a Steakhouse and our Friends rave about how wonderful the Steaks are, but we are not big eaters and prefer salads, tapas and seafood. I am happy to say Mankas does this just as well as the steaks. The salads are unique and delicious and they have the best wedge salad with a very healthy avocado sour cream dressing. The Salmon, Halibut and Tuna is also all fantastic. We had to be the healthiest table in the house. As we seen the many tables around us who were all having these huge Steaks and Rib dishes. We could also over hear just how happy they were as well. We did break our diet for the fresh fruit crum pie with I think apricots & mulberries, simply to die for. We had 4 at our table & the bill with wine was only $148 fair

Aftering ordering a beverage that contained strawberries, that were not available, I appreciated the personal touch given to me by the barman when he made a concoction of his own, and it was great. Food and service was great. Would def. go there again. One last point.... it is kind of pricey...

We had some old friends of ours meet us for dinner. What a beautiful time, great food, great service, great friends. The staff all acted as if they personaly owned the place, you can simply see how much they care. This is a great place that can easily fit with the best in Napa or San Francisco, but the staff is not snooty at all. The Chef and Gm who by the way both came out to introduce themselves, and who are both themselves from some very impressive restaurants in Napa & the city, told us they put a real concious effort to hire local and give a feel of community. According to them they Also try to support the local valley growers & wines as much as possible. Ribs, steak, halibut, chicken all amazing & the wedge salad!!! you got to have

When you see people staying forever, getting up visiting with perfect strangers, seeing them all laugh & smile, wine in hand, and just having a good time it tells you this place is going to be good. The bone marrow I admit is scary so was the duck liver, but they were so very good and such a conversational piece and a fun tapa to try with friends. I had the chicken and my partner the grass fed rib eye. It was incredible 18oz it was so huge, they say that is because grass fed does not shrink like other meats. I simply had to steel some off the dish & I had never tasted a finer steak. The chicken was a boneless chicken breast with the dark meat rolled into a rollad...perfect, perfect, the best dining experience in a very long time

Beautiful location, watching the cattle come over the hill for watering time all while you are sitting in the restaurant's fire place patio, the deep dark woods and stone work inside, all makes you feel like you are in some old west cattle Barons home. It's incredible this whole old west village in the middle of the vines is all staged to show off the fine wines & food of the valley. Class all the way, but let meal tell you the Duroc pork chop I had with the deep fried artichokes & the Argentinean sauce was out of this world & Huge with the 08 La Salette wine OMG... I will never forget that meal. Comming again very soon for the home made local fruit pies. The other 2 table had them next to us & they looked real happy

The ribs with their little home made glass dipping jars of Barbque sauce was so delicious the best I have ever had, and far more than the two of us could ever eat. Our servers Jackie and Jasmine really care about the place and they were so professional & responsive to our every need. As an out of towner I would drive from Walnut Creek a few times a week just to get this kind of quality food and service. I am hard pressed to think of a better place to dine between Napa & walnut Creek. We are definitely bring friends next time. Ps; the hostess Julie is so beautifull and elegant as she greets you, you just know from that point on this is going to be a great experience.

I read yelp reviews & was apprehensive, some sounded so vindictive. So I looked at open table reviews, where I think more often, not always, people tend to have a little more class. Open table was correct this place is a 5 star place. Yesterday, was their first 100 days open & I have seen well known places in Napa not do as well. Salmon was beautiful, the 18 oz grass fed rib eye the best we ever had. Home made deserts with local fruits, this place just pops. The Vezer wines on the menu, In Napa the Vezers could get away charging $300 for their cab it is that good, but they only charge $54 & there is also a huge selection of local and Napa favorites. Excellent food, Good portions, fair prices

Back when it was Vintage Cafe, we would take many of our business guests for dinners. The recent change to Tapas & Steakhouse gave us reason to expect a new and refreshing experience. We booked a Wednesday night dinner for a party of 12. When we arrived the place was a ghost town. Without many other patrons, I looked on the bright side and figured we would be indulged with service. While all staff were pleasant, we were underwhelmed by the mistakes with our orders. Several guests received a different cut of beef from what they ordered while others had to send their dish back several times because it wasn't cooked properly. While the spare ribs were abundant, they were thoroughly overcooked and dry. Tough to see how we'll be back.

I have been here several times and tried most items on the menu - 90% of it very good. This time I was here for mother's day brunch with wife and kids. The eggs benedict was great and the chocolate lava cakes were awesome! Champagne was flowing and service was excellent. The only reason I dont give 5 stars is that its still a bit overpriced for the area.

    - Great decor (inside and out) dining - Service is timely and caring to meet all needs - A little pricey for some of the portion sizes. Would like to see Daily Fish / Meat specials added to the dinner menu and a little more care to articulately describe some of the favorites to diners - Lots of character and I am sure as they evolve and hone in (all aspects that diners look for: Quality / Portions / Price / Service), they will be well on their way to a 5 star over the next year.

The deep fried artichoke and filet migon was perfect with the spicy chin churi sauce. The people next to us from San Francisco said they found the place on open table and were just blown away with the ribs and halibut as well. it looked like the whole restaurant was having a great time, both staff and customers all laughing and having a real positive vibe. This is definitely Solano counties hot spot and place to be seen. It was a good time with old friends and we made new ones as well.

First visit out here since the remodel. Not sure what "niche" they are trying for. I would say that the level of sophistication here (based upon the prices they charge for entrees) is below average. Don't get me wrong...the food is tasty, just not at a level that is much above chain restaurants that are considerably less expensive. So overall, I would say that at these prices, they either need to elevate their game or bring their prices down a bit.

This new place continues to pleasantly surprise my wife and I. they are open for only 3 months and each week just when we thought they couldn't get any better they Surprise us again,Apparently the Owner had hired two executive chefs one from Aqua the other from Dean & deluca's and the Brix in Napa. Both are extraordinary chefs David with his sea food fusions and chef Peter who has always been base of the menu and the Sr Executive chef brings that true traditional wine country red wine and carnivor taste explosion that we all look for when we go to the best restaurants in wine country. Last night we had just one mind blowing Tapa after another then split a half rack of ribs that were so moist a flavorful. Every week it gets better

This was our third time to Mankas in three weeks. We got there and decided to go outside by the fire to have cocktails before and felt no rush to start dinner. Roberto made sure we were comfortable with enough seating by the fire for our group. Jarrod makes a great Old Fashioned and took the time to tell us how it was made. Zack, our server was very helpful and friendly. Just as we had ordered, some friends called and said they were nearby and would be able to join us. The staff had no problem moving our table and setting it for two more. The food has been great everytime we have dined here. We would rather go out once a week to a great dining experience than 3 or 4 times somewhere else and eat mediocre food. Much more to say, out of space.

We made reservations late and noted that my wife needed to eat Gluten free in the reservations as we always do and they noted that when we arrived. The menu was similar to what we had seen but what we hadn't seen were the prices. While not that bad overall they were on the high side. What was most shocking was the very limited and ridiculously priced wine list. $82 for a bottle of Rombauer Chardonnay? We've ordered this wine in many notable restaurants in Napa, Monterey and SF and have never seen it for more than $50. The lack of selection and pricing made us wish we would have brought our own bottle. While the food was decent - I had the Ribeye - it wasn't as good as what I've had at other steakhouses - which were comparably pric

Every meal was overcooked. asked for the tuna rare and it was close to medium, Steaks ordered medium rare were past medium and the ribs were just overdone. Dissappointing. We had heard great things about this place and while it was ok it did not live up to it's previous billing...... The wine list was very nice!

I had so much fun with my friends this is definitely the place to be. The outdoor patio is so relaxing and warm. The ribs were so meaty , there was no way two of us could finish a full rack. The meat was perfectly smoked right on property and the meat just fell off the bone. I had the Vezer's wine called the "La Salette". I admit I was a bit sticker shocked, but after tasting the wine"Wow" the Vezer's really know their stuff. this wine was so so good we ordered a whole bottle. The staff brought out what they called a desert test sample, a home made apple pie in a cast iron pan big enough for two accompanied with this rich smooth cream oclair. This desert was packed with apples and a rich moist put very light crust. Highly recommended

It's about time this valley of fast food got a restaurant that has the quality of a Napa/SF restaurant. First the service from the front of the house was outstanding. Michael our server was a total pro. I tested him several time on the ingredients on our plate and he passed every time, even down to the watermelon radish on the bottom of the tuna tartar. Second the back of the house put out fantastic food. We ate off the tapas side of the menu so we had several dishes each very pleasing to the eye as well as the tastbuds. Third the decore of the Mankas is warm and inviting. For those who complain about the portion size and cost might as well go to your local fast food chain. I feel the portion size and cost are in line. Great job.

Wonderful experience the rib eye, the baby back ribs, and salmon was absolutley to die for. Also my wife who is very health conscious loved the organic de-boned chicken. Both indoors and out doors were so beautifully decorated and warm we didn't want to leave. We noticed that you can easily dine for just about any budget, the tapas allows you to just share with your group and if you order 2 tapas each which are large enough to share for 2 or 3 people, your group can get away for under $20/head. However if you want a perfect steak you are going to pay over $30, but it is a 16 oz so you can easily split the order and share the sides. The half rack of ribs is more than enough for one person and Cajun spicy awesome. Highly recommend
