A word from Sazon
After nearly 3 successful years in Midtown Manhattan, owner of Sofrito, Genaro "JR" Morales decided it was time to expand and begin his search for a new location. Shortly thereafter, Sazon was born. An exciting and unique addition to Manhattan's downtown scene, Sazon brings authentic Puerto Rican cuisine to the heart of Tribeca. This dual-level establishment encompasses all the vibrancy and delectability of its sister location but adds a downtown flavor all its own. Open for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch: Sazon offers its patrons a variety of ways to experience Puerto Rican cuisine at its best. Buen Provecho

Food was great. Service was outstanding. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Music was a bit loud while trying to have a conversation over dinner, however downstairs music fit in with the atmosphere. Definitely would go there again. WARNING: 1/2 off at the bar, Bar is pretty small on 1st level. If you have a large group, the space is tight. SV

  • I decided to take my parents

I decided to take my parents here for an economical but filling meal to celebrate their anniversary. In total there were ten of us. Upon the arrival of our food, everyone commented on how good their food was when their tasted their first forkfull. Additionally, the portions sizes were more than filling. The decor is nice. It's kind of dark, my parents had to use the flashlights on their cell phones to read the menu, but otherwise a very clean and well decorated place. You gotta try it at least once.

Recommended by one of my companions, Sazon was an enjoyable experience. Highlights were the giant roasted pork dish I was unable to finish (Pernil - should be a "Man vs. Food" challenge) and the mojitos, which were deceptively strong. Also, the tres leches cake I had for dessert was outstanding. The appetizers we ordered were lacking a bit in flavor, but were not bad. The music was a bit loud, which made it difficult to converse. The service was very good - great personalities and very efficient. I would recommend and hope to return to Sazon.

Food was as good as one can expect.service was wonderfull.prices for food were very reasonable, portions were reasonable as well great value..drinks particularly call and top shelf were a little steep.$17 for Jameson with rocks a little high.i am a restaurantor and bar owner for more than 20 years.charging for ice I think is a little over the top.but it is tribeca...but overall great food and wonderfull experience.
