A word from 15 Point Road
15 Point Road, A special treat in Portsmouth Rhode Island along the Sakonnet River. Busy, but not crowded, with an enchanting moonlit river view. A traditional menu pleases most everyone and house specialties are an ever-changing eclectic delight of innovative and contemporary dishes. When one walks up to the doorway, the bed of fresh growing herbs just off the deck will give you hints of the treats that await. Once inside you will be entranced by the view of the Sakonnet River which leads out to the ocean beyond through the panorama of windows. Across the river you will occasionally notice the local fishing boats as they make their way to the Tiverton fish market. If you"re lucky enough, you might even catch one of the local lobstermen heading out to tend his lobster traps in Mount Hope Bay!

We dined here on Mother’s Day and again this past weekend for their Lobster week special. The entrees are consistently good. The lobster da friolo was busting with flavor and just a tad on the spicy side but nonetheless delicious. The baked stuffed lobster was very good. Service was well-timed and friendly. Sean, the owner, hospitable and friendly as always.

We were in town for our daughter's graduation from Roger Williams. Except for the bridge construction making it tough to find (a problem that may well be over by now) everything was fantastic! Thanks for a great night!

2nd time visiting restaurant "See my first review." Great brunch menu for mother's day, service was fast and food was exceptional. Highly recommend the Lobster Quesadilla's. I noted the first time around that the espresso was sub-par, after a personal note from the owner saying he was going to rectify the situation, I must say the cup of espresso I got this time around was in my top five of espressos all time!!! A must stop for anyone in the area

A group of 6 went here for my husbands birthday. We all ordered from the prix fixe menu & everyone loved their meals-pork chops, salmon, baked stuffed shrimp were all great. The price was a great deal-included wine or beer, salad, bread, entree & dessert-all for 18.00. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful Sakonnet River view from every table! Staff is friendly but not intrusive. We were there for Easter brunch and the menu was excellent. We all chose the Eggs Benedict appetizer which was cooked perfectly and a nice size to share. Meal choices were all so varied and interesting from the baked ham to the lobster and scallops in phyllo. Loved the Bloody Mary's with a jumbo shrimp garnish. We shared beignets and tiramisu for dessert. Yum! Thank you Julie for your wonderful service. This was memorable and we will be back!

Overall experience was excellent. Ratings of Outstanding are just to hard to justify unless I'm really bowled over. I rarely go to that level. Having said that, our server was in fact Outstanding! Very attentive yet somehow not intrusive. We've been twice in the last six weeks and both times have left impressed by the food and the ambiance, but especially happy with the level of service. Will definitely return, probably on a monthly basis.

We felt that the food was only average and thought that the sauces were quite bland and flavorless. Also the waitress behaved like we were troubling her to get us sour cream and butter for our baked potatoes. When we asked for butter for our potatoes she pointed to the rolls and said there's butter in the basket, which there actually wasn't as we had used it on our rolls. Seemed a bit odd that they wouldn't just offer them with the meal.

What a hidden treasure 15 Point Rd turned out to be! A lovely view, understated elegance in their decor, absolutely top-notch servers and the food was all very well prepared & presented. We shall be sure to return whenever we are in the area. My only complaint would be the parking but there is much on street parking to be had

First time checking out this restaurant, I will have to go back for Lunch as the view looks fantastic. Parking is tight but not bad Had reservations "which we were glad because it appears there was a little wait" Appetizers; Lobster Bisque "not bad but not made with cream" Clam Chowder "very flavorful and plenty of fresh clams" Dinner: Haddock "bland fish for me but this was extremely fresh and flavorful." Deconstructed Beef Wellington "Excellent plate, meat cooked perfect, prosciutto puree was a nice touch Dessert: Fried doughnuts with ice cream was a neat idea, Espresso: Awful "particular about this" just a small cup of black coffee Definitely a location we will be coming back to

We had made reservations for 6 of us for a Friday night. We were seated on time and the restaurant was crowded. The service wasn't the greatest. As the night went on our server only came back to the table when our food was being served. At that point everyones glasses were empty and we had been waiting to order a drink to have with our dinners. We put another order in for drinks as we begun to eat. Our drinks finally came after we had all finished our meals. Our water glasses were empty as well with no refills at all during our time there. The food however was delicious, several of us had the Bass and Salmon, which was cooked perfectly and flavorful. My boyfriend had the Prime Rib which he said was cooked perfectly and tender.

We had a wonderful time dining at 15 point road! We were greated by the hostess and seated promptly. For apps we had a pear salad which was very nicely prepared & was just the right portion. The entree's came with a house salad. Love that some restaurants still include salads. The salad itself was a bit boring but fresh & crisp. The homemade raspberry vinegrette was excellent. As for entrees, I had the beef wellington, which was "deconstructed" which was different & very good. Cooked a perfect medium rare. My wife had the pan seared scallops, which I stole a bite of & loved. We skipped dessert. Very nice place & highly recommended!

It was fun to find another waterfront restaurant in RI. We love al fresco dining on the waterfront, but on this cold, windy March night, appreciated the great view from our window table. Very nice service staff, great prix fixe "deals" and a memorable evening. We'll look forward to returning in the warmer months for outside seating.
