Beautiful setting, friendly and attentive waitstaff. We ordered off of a fixed menu, "date night", good food, especially good was the table side guacamole and banana split.

  • The guacamole prepared tableside
    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 8/22/2008
The guacamole prepared tableside was a nice touch. Probably enough to feed four easily, but there were only two of us. The rack of ribs and dessert to split were plenty also. The service was a bit slow. We made reservations for 6:30 but we did not leave until 8:20. We liked not being rushed through our food, but didn't enjoy the wait for the main course and then again for dessert and the check.

I went with a large group. All seafood dishes were excellent and cooked perfectly. Two people got pork items and were disappointed with the quality of the meat in comparison with the cost of the plate. Guests can dine by the water and enjoy the scenic mountain views. Go for the atmosphere but steer clear of any pork!

  • Food good but not outstanding.

Food good but not outstanding. Portions generous. Prices fairly reasonable for a resort restaurant - half bottles of wine for $8, which was great. Service excellent. We had ceviche (good but had better elsewhere) and tuna lettuce wraps (generous portion, very messy to eat). We had ribs (again we've had better elsewhere. A little chewy, rather than falling off the bone). Corn on the cob had a lovely smokey flavour and the creamy potatoes (the meal comes with cornbread but we substituted) were very tasty, but not very warm. We were joined by a rather large black bug running around the floor which took the staff some time to track down and get rid off. If it hadn't been Tucson in the monsson season, brings the bugs out, we would have left

Would have liked to have seen more vegetarian/vegan options on the menu. Our food was delicious. I had told our server that we were celebrating our anniversary and I was a little disappointed that she/the restaurant did nothing to acknowlege it. I expected a small desert to share or even an after-dinner coffee drink but our server did not offer anything. Also when making the reservation I stated that we were celebrating our anniversary and asked for a cozy, romantic table. The table was ok but we were seated right next to a table of three very loud women who pretty much drowned out our conversation.

We were first in restaurant(5:45), drinks took 10 minutes to arrive(slow) A party of 6 was seated next to us when they could have been spaced out a little bit. Made it noisy. Other than that, all was good.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2007VIP
    Dined on 6/19/2008
The mac and cheese with mushrooms was great. The only problem was the way it was packaged at the end of the night. There were pieces of rice ( as if someone used the same spoon to pack rice then my dish) in my left overs. Neither of us had a dish that had rice. I was a little disappointed in that. The guac was great and made to order.

After some confusion about sitting outside vs indoors, we were seated at a table for two by the window. Our menu items were as selected and we were only missing the tomatoes in the guacamole, due to the recent salmonella scare, no fault of this restaurant. Everything was delicious, service was great! A definite new favorite!

A client gave me a gift certificate for your restaurant and I took my sister as a thank you to her. It was quite enjoyable. I noticed the chef came out to greet a couple apparently celebrating their 50th anniversary, I thought that was very gracious and commendable.

A nice setting with a nice view but generally a disappointment. We came on a Monday night, they were out of some foods such as the special of the day. Tableside guacamole was a disappointment and overpriced for a starter. Generally good food but nothing really memorable. We went to a four star restaurant for twice the price the following night but were left with a feeling that it was a better value...generally did not think this restaurant did a great job in the value department.

The service was very good and the tableside guacamole was outstanding! The ambience was wonderful with water features, golf finishing hole and the city lights as the evening progressed. The combination of fine dining and southwestern flavors added to the experience. The wine list was priced fairly. Highly recommend.

The hostess accomodated our request to sit outside on the patio. Beautiful view!!! (And I thought it was a bit chilly inside. Just a bit too much air conditioning for me.) Better yet, when I made my open table reservation, I mentioned the dinner was to celebrate the birthdays of my adopted parents, both of whom were born on the same day, April 26th! At the end of the meal, they each got a dessert on the house...and there was no crazy singing and clapping hands for the birthday folks, just nice simple birthday candles in the souffle! Class act! Both the food and the service were, as always, excellent. Oh, and did I mention the view at sunset is breathtaking. Thanks for making a family reunion a memorable one!

We were delighted to find a lovely atmosphere that was warm and inviting. But the service at the restaurant was most impressive. Every staff member was friendly and welcoming. We were addressed by our names and every effort to make my birthday a true celebration was made. The tableside guacamole was amazing as were the margaritas. It is a great place to dine for any occasion.
