My husband & I went for Easter brunch and it was outstanding. There were many, many choices of food and it was all excellent. I had champagne & my husband had beer which was included in the price & the wait staff was efficient at checking on us. Don't know what to recommend in terms of the food because there was nothing that we chose that we didn't like. We will go back.

We think the Blues,Brews & Barbeques Sunday buffet is the best brunch in Tucson.Last week and again this Sunday they were as busy as we've ever seen them due to spring break resort guests but the service was as excellent as ever. The variety of food choices is extensive, from breakfast favorites to custom omelets. There are always five or six salads, cheese and nuts, a cold seafood table featuring oysters, shrimp and mussels.Outside is the barbeque, with a carving station,an array of grilled vegetables, beans, cornbread, mac and cheese, grilled salmon, pulled pork, Sonoran hotdogs,& my favorite BBQ pork ribs. With our 1pm start they did run out of a few things so go early. And enjoy the Blues musicians & the local beers plus champagne & mimosas

Party of three. Disappointed in Spinach salad ... many greens w/ few, small pecans pieces and very strong pungent large pieces blue cheese. The squash bisque was greasy w/o buttery taste as described although they modified our check accordingly. Server asked if we'd like Tortia chips w/ guacamole w/o mentioning it was a $12 option. Overall poorest quite expensive lunch in some time.

There are not enough stars to truly rate our Christmas brunch experience at Canyon Cafe. We asked for a table with a view, and we got a table for two with a magnificent view. Live guitar player was excellent, just right for Christmas. Service was superb. Christmas decorations were fabulous. Food was so good, and so much to choose from. They had prime rib, pasta station, seafood station, grill station, turkey dinner, salads, and desserts to die for including a chocolate fountain. Nice ice sculpture on seafood station. So many high lights for the food. We had marinated raw tuna with an avocado topping that was great. Miniature bagels with all the fixings for lox. Oysters on the half shell. Rare prime rib. Will be a Christmas tradition.

One of the best brunch buffets I've been to: BBQ, blues and brews. No salad bar but I don't go to these types of brunches for salad. They had an omelette bar, a few different cold salads, pastries, traditional hot breakfast buffet fare, plus the BBQ: pulled pork, ribs, chicken, salmon, veggies, prime rib, mashed potatoes, Alfredo-type pasta. I've probably forgotten a few things like the couple different California rolls, French fries and chicken "nugget" station. Desserts were superb too and I love my desserts! They had cookies, mousse, Creme brûlée, brownies, cheesecake, bread pudding, chocolate fountain, cake, and rice crispy treats. $39 per person including Mimosas AND unlimited beer on tap (they had 3 to choose from). Highly recommend!

  • Fabulous Thanksgiving Buffet
    mab19VIP
    Dined on 11/22/2012
This was the most fabulous Thanksgiving buffet ever. We began with mimosas, then headed for the seafood bar. I could have lived on that. Shrimp, two kinds of crab claws, mussels, raw oysters, etc. to die for. Salads, vegetables, turkey, prime rib, roast pork, turkey saltimbocca, ribs, it went on and on. Somewhere there was an omelet station, but I skipped that one. There was even a desert table for children? Milkshakes were made, candy apples, cookies, etc. Grownup desserts were many in variety and each one better than the last. Delicious coffee--all inclusive. Thanks Canyon Cafe.

Outstanding...memorable...Thanksgiving dinner buffet....service impeccable....buffet tables included fresh seafood (crab, oysters, shrimp, sushi bar) - traditional thanksgiving bar with freshly roasted whole turkey, squash, green beans casserole, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce...there was prime rib and roast pork and prosciutto wrapped turkey skewers, lobster paella -- there was a cheese table (which was the only mediocre offering) --- an ice cream stand and perhaps a dozen dessert tables featuring everything from chocolate fondue to pecan and pumpkin pies, flans, quiches and lemon mousse. The buffet also included champagne mimosas and a raft of beers on draft...A great intergenerational family experience in the Arizona desert foothills.

Went to the Sunday Blues, Brews and Barbeques buffet brunch, probably the twentieth time or more we've been here. Nice cold fish table, oysters, mussels, shrimp, chafing dishes of brunch favorites-pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs Benedict, sticky buns, interesting salads, smoked salmon, cheeses. There's an omelet station, custom made, lots of choices, a big dessert bar near the entry. The big draw for us is the barbeque outside-always great ribs, grilled salmon, pulled pork, two kinds of carved meats, grilled vegetables, excellent beans and corn bread. Enjoy the blues musicians playing outside. Sit in or out. Unlimited champagne or mimosas, excellent service, relaxing. We always eat too much then go out and feed the koi. Great resort, fun!

I have been to Ventana for both staycations and food and have never been disappointed! The service is always excellent from the front door on. The food is always the great and fresh. Every guest I have taken there absolutely loved the experience---with some we have hiked up to the waterfall or fed the fish or cruised the gift shops. I also go as often as possible to the spa for facials or massage. Guess you could call me a huge fan.

This was our third stay at the resort this year, and it just keeps getting better and better. The Sunday brunch was very special as most of the herbs and spices were freshly picked from the chefs beautiful onsite herb garden. The resort staff was very attentive, and friendly, but not evasive. The city view from our room was very romantic as was the huge tub. Very spacious with clean rooms.

It was over crowded, noisy, and the food selection was fair. We had to flag down the wait staff to have plates removed and drinks filled. They charge you 20% gratuity and you don't even receive great service. Very over priced, for what you get. Other brunches are far better for less money. This was for our 40th wedding anniversary. We had our children join us in our celebration. I would have preferred to go out for a nice dinner for what it cost and what we received.
