We had their 72 Hour whole roasted pig dinner for 9. Excellent and the seating in the alcove set the dinner off properly. $600 plus wine ended up a special occasion bargain with the many excellent courses. We were only the 3rd group to have this special dinner as the restaurant had just opened. We had the attention of the owner, Rex, and the manager, JJ, who was at our table often. The chef was outstanding. Certainly can highly recommend for this plus we had an earlier dinner for 4 that was the spark to our arranging the larger dinner.

I really enjoyed the experience and the waitress was exceptional, without her help our dinner may not have been so fine. I was concerned about the acoustics but at my age that happens. I LOVED all the flavors. I wish the portions on the jars, cures and cheese were slightly more and more crackers is a must when there are more than two people. The decor is very nice and warm. It was a new way to eat, liked the presentation on the board, FUN!

This restaurant is a nice change for Steamboat. If I didn't know better, I'd swear I was in Denver or some other metropolitan city! The food was excellent. It was served family style and is in "small portions". Note that some selections are larger & more filling than others. The waiter encouraged us to order 3 or 4 selections per person however we ordered 2 per person and it was almost more than we could eat.

Another great restaurant from Rex! Waitstaff describe menu items as small plates to be shared. They recommended 2 or 3 per person. Portions are way too big for that. For now, I suggest 1 or 2 items per person and order more if still hungry (doubtful). The food is very rich/fatty!!! As a suggestion for the restaurant: I recommend ditching the butcher block serving platters which are too big for tables, and to decrease portion size by 1/3.

Too much goat cheese involved in everything!!!! Very poor wine by the glass selection. Prices are high for the very small portion tapas type menu. Too many fried items ( only items without goat cheese). Very nice ambience and excellent service. We just did not care for the menu and portions.

Steamboat Laundry, it's name from a prior occupant of this historic building--with sign still painted on the brick exterior and photo displayed inside--is a wonderful addition to the Steamboat dining and bar scene. It's very creative and non-traditionally served menu is worthy of even a sophisticated, urban location, yet the Steamboat casual" dress code gives it a relaxed and fun environment, as does it's furnishings and interior look. It's owner, Rex Brice, is a respected and liked, and a local restauranteur with a reputation of being great to work for. Having dined there once, I am now familiar with the way dishes are served to be shared and I look forward to repeats to try it's many menu items. Definitely "fit for foodies!"

It's brand new & the wait staff is still working out the timing for the small plates. That being said, the time between courses was 15-20 mins. The meat & cheese board was fantastic & worth the $32. However, fried potato slices for $9 and a chicken thigh for $12, definetly not. Great liquor selection.

We had a wonderful experience at The Laundry last night. The service was friendly and timed perfectly, not too rushed or too slow. The food was fresh, local and creatively presented. There was a good variety of dishes, and per our servers suggestion, the 3 of us ladies shared 4 plates, a dessert and a french press coffee! We left satiated but not full, and are eager to come back and try some of their other selections. The decor is tasteful, fun and comfortable. The lighting is good and there are just the right amount of tables in the restaurant. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

Small plates concept, which is unique to Steamboat, is a fun way to try multiple tastes. Very "foodie" so keep an open mind and be prepared to have fun with it! I'm generally a huge fan of Rex's restaurants - was pleased but not "quite" blown over by the food here and think it's a little on the pricy side. The ambiance is awesome and the bar is very inviting. Wine list is good, reasonably priced drinks. We will absolutely go back and try some of the other dishes. Thanks, Rex, for bringing something different to Steamboat!

Laundry is place to really share in a great dining experience. The shared plate concept is fantastic as it really brings about a great deal of conversation throughout the table and an opportunity to try many new, unique food items. So much imagination went into this menu and so many of the plates have unique, amazing tastes. The atmosphere is fantastic and the infused drink menu is spectacular. Rex's newest concept is incredible, with a unique cocktail menu and a variety of delicious small plates designed for diners to share. We came in expecting a more upscale menu than most Steamboat offerings and attendant higher prices. While that held true, we were not put off by the bill at the end of the night. A great experience that still needs a couple things ironed out (they'd been open less than a week when we ate there), the Laundry would seem to fit better in Chicago or New York than Steamboat, but my wife and I - and the friends we ate with - loved the experience. And the food was DELICIOUS. Possibly our new favorite "night out" spot in town. I can't wait to try out some more of their resurrected cocktails.

The approach to the menu is a welcome addition to the steamboat dining scene. Food was good and would have been great - it was a bit on the salty side. I would highly recommend the sturgeon pastrami. We didn't get around to dessert but the dessert menu looked good. Overall, a place to add to the limited list of unique eateries in Steamboat. I'd expect that Rex will hone in on the menu as the restaurant gains its legs.

EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE with tasty unique food. They easily accommodated my gluten free request by substituting fruit chips for the regular whole grain chips served with the hummus appetizer (which was absolutely amazing). Our only complaint was although the delicious plates we ordered were some of the most flavorful foods we've ever had at a restaurant, we did leave a bit hungry. No worries, we will definitely be back for the incredible service and genuinely delicious food!

I love the exposed brick and the contemporary decor, making it feel like a city restaurant but with the charm of a small ski town. It is a shared plate concept and our group of six had a blast picking all different dishes to try. The meat and cheese combo plate was amazing to start with. The way they prepare parts of pig I didn't even know you could eat was OUTSTANDING. I recommend the fiery margarita it was not spicy but the new flavors of peppers, garlic, cilantro, and lime was surprising but mind blowing and possibly my new favorite way to have a margarita. The atmosphere, friendliness of staff, AMAZING DELICIOUS dishes, and inexpensive dishes made this a MUST visit restaurant.
