A word from La Gloutonnerie - South Beach
With an original outpost in Mexico City, La Gloutonnerie brings elegant French fare with a sophisticated bistro appeal to the area. The menu is classic French with modern twists and refinement. La Gloutonnerie is French enough to feel exotic, but cozy enough to make it your Friday night fix.

Excellent food except for the cheese platter. For a place like this, vintage cuisine and so French, one would expect a more sophisticated variety of cheeses. The cheese platter we had could have been put together with cheeses I find at Publix. A high five to their Rose 75 Coktail.

What a great contribution to the neighborhood! We live south of fifth, and freqent most of the restaurants in the neighborhood. This was our second time to La Gloutonnerie and we totally enjoyed it. We especially enjoy their appetizers. Right now, the Miami Spice menu makes this top-end restaurant a bargan.

Interesting place, I gave it a very low rating due to the place tried to overcharge me 3x more by trippling the price of the wine we drank. It was a a several hundred dollar overcharge they switched twice. The Manager literally ran away when I went to talk to him. The food was otherwise very good and even the service was good. But I would not trust them at all.

Everything was great. The food was just delicious. The place was very quiet (Wednesday). My favorite choice so far for the Miami Spice 2012. No doubts it will become one of my favorite spots for tasty and cozy dinner on the weekends.

South of Fifth is getting exciting. Milo's is serving fresh fish, Fogo de Chau has an extensive salad bar and roasted meats served Brazillian style, Clark's has good pub food, Prime 115 is hopping, Joe's Crab is, well, Joe's Crab, right? Now we have La G, special wine list, cozy, great food. We needed a quieter place than Prime, because it's so nice to be able to talk to the person sitting across from you... usually.

The best dining experience that my wife and I have had in Miami over the past ten years. The food was excellent. The Mussel appetizer took my wife back to our visit in Nice. The service was over the top. John C is "the man."

Perfect French bistro cuisine and lovely wine list. Perfect coquilles St Jacques, chateuabriand, perfect salades, perfect bread, amazingly perfect souffles! Alas, like most South Florida restaurants, the service did not match the high quality of the food. The restaurant has few windows and low ceilings which leads the room to feel very enclosed and bit dreary.

Definitely a hidden gem in SoBe. Nice warm atmosphere like being at home but with an elegant twist. There is a market there which gives the feel of being in an actual brasserie! Everyone was great and the food was excellent. Also was introduced to the chef and if you have time try the Souflee`. It takes about 40 min for it to be prepared but, worth the wait.
