We absolutely enjoyed our whole experience at Grille 3501. Jane was so helpful in arranging our evening and Nate was a fantastic waiter who never missed a beat. The food was delicious, service was superb, and we couldn't have had a better time for our special occasion. Jane was wonderful in meeting us before the restaurant even opened so we could drop off the cake for our dinner party, and they served the cake at the end of the evening garnished impeccably with caramel sauce and berries...we didn't expect that. We wish we lived in the area so we can frequent this place!! If and when we're in Allentown again, this will definitely be a stop we'll make!

I'm a regular on the Center City Philadelphia dining scene. I drove 1.5 hours to meet a friend there for dinner and found the food could compete very well against the restaurants in Center City. I do have two complaints though. First the price was way to high for the area and environment. $170 for dinner for two with two glasses of wine and two glasses of Stella & no dessert. I also didn't care for the multiple uses of a number of ingredients in a variety of dishes. Using the same ingredients over and over made each dish fall short of being unique unto itself.

My fiancé and I are new to the area and have been looking for good restaurants. So I was pretty disappointed that Grille 3501 didn't deliver. The menu looked great but fell short. We ordered the crab mango spring rolls -overly fried, served with sauce that tasted similar to mayonnaise, no crab or mango taste. I ordered the vegetarian chef special, which turned out to be some fried vegetables, two slices of portabello mushroom and a few stalks of celery. $23 for that? We ate about half of our meal and ended up going elsewhere. The service was very good, the waitress was prompt and friendly. We have no problem spending money on nice dinners, but the prices here for such low quality fare were ridiculous. Very disappointing experience.

This is the third time we've been here and have enjoyed it each time. The service, from the Maitre D' to the bartender to the servers, was attentive and superb. We met some old college friends from the area for dinner and the food was delicious. The spring roll appetizer was exquisite and the fish entrees were delectable, expertly prepared, and right-size portioned. A very nice wine list. We had a nice California Chardonnay (Grgich Hills) that was excellent with the fish. We are in the Foreign Service, currently living in Nairobi, Kenya, and are seldom home in the Philadelphia - Jim Thorpe area. We try to dine at 3501 whenever we are passing through or visiting the Allentown area.Strongly recommend the restaurant.

Saturday-July 28th 2912 Arrived 15 minutes early for reservation--offered choice of bar or directly to table by friendly reception. Blueberry Mojito cocktail--different and outstanding. Appetizer- tuna tartare deliciously different atop a seasoned edamame paste. Entree-veal medallions excellent and steak special as well. Bok choy side dish-scrumptious. Dessert cocktails "girl scout cookie"--sweet and ymmy. Service-prompt, curteous, friendly and attnetive without invasion. Higher priced evening, but worth it. Highly recommend.

We very much enjoyed our Entrees. The appetizers were brought to the table without serving plates and apparently meant for one person although this was not made clear and it was a great deal for one person to eat. None of us were enthused about eating all of our entree stacked one on top of the other. That being said, the sauces served with the entrees were outstanding and worth the trip back. The filets were served to perfection and every bite was delicious! My son had dessert, the sorbet trio. The flavors were awful and the middle sorbet, which I believe, at one time, was lime. We guessed the flavor to be freezer burnt surprise. It was awful, and when not eaten, we were not asked why. Disappointing for a $250 meal.

The food was great. Sophisticated modern dishes were served. We had the tempura asparagus as an appetizer, and as an entrée I had the seasoned grilled tune (cooked rare and to perfection) while my wife had the scallops. We were both very pleased with the presentation and taste, as the chef seems to take great care in both. The staff was both attentive and friendly. They knew the food and the wine list and could speak to subtleties in both preparation and ingredients. The dining room was well decorated and made for an upscale setting. The bar, which is segregated from the dinign room was very busy on a Friday night, but was small which added to the feel. Overall a great experience.

As always this is a solid meal each time we go. It is probably one of the best values in the Valley. Had a nice bottle of wine, great appetizer and two spectacular entrees and still walked out under $125. That is hard to do now at even family restaurants. The service is always tops. The only thing that I would say is that it is a little loud. Nothing you can do about it, they already have the sound deadening items on the wall. By no means should this deter you from this restaurant. Enjoy,

It was my first time there. I am not from the area and received the lunch recommendation from a colleague from the area. The crab and mango spring roll was good but the sauce was a bit too creamy for me. The tuna entree was outstanding. My colleague had the salmon entree and left nothing on the plate. I would definitely return.

I took my family there for Mother's day. The Maitr'e d was a bit snooty and we had to wait a bit even though the restaurunt was empty. Once seated the waitress was attentive and friendly. The food was good but i think, and it is my opinion, the food was overpriced. This is not a place for kids. The kids menu was 18.00 for a 6 year old. lol! I usually dont or i should say never complain about money, but i thought it was a bit expensive for childrens menu. Overall it was a good experience but our area offers so many restaurunts, i do not think we will go back there again.

Couple of things here... Overall it was only OK. Drinks were only OK, nothing that would make you say WOW that was different. The food was just ALMOST there. We had the crab spring rolls that were tasty, but a bit doughy... We spilt a salad which as not really tossed well with whatever was used as a dressing. I had the pork cheek and my wife had the short ribs. Both plates came out with the same exact sauce and it truly got into everything. This restaurant is known for stacking entrees, not that that is the issue, but for example my pork was stacked on top of a cabbage and a potato pancake at the bottom. With the amount of reduction sauce that was poured all over everything, by the time you cut into everything, it was all saturated.

This was recommended by business friends. There are no windows in this converted house. The cesar salad had almost no dressing, dry and uninspired. for the main, the pomegranite sauce on the rib tips and chicken was super sweet and nasty. The rib tips were very, very fatty, but still managed to be dry! and the chocolate desert seemed stale. I would not recommend this spot.

Very nice place with an amazing butternut squash lobster bisque. We had the kids with us and they catered to our one son who's very picky by making him shrimp cocktail (not part of the menu) We went for a really late lunch on Good Friday so needless to say we were the only ones. I can see this place really packed for dinner because it was very chic almost Manhattan like in Pennsylvania. We will definitely revisit if we are in the neighborhood.
