A word from Boca Pizzeria, Village Mall at Corte Madera
Boca Pizzeria is located in The Village at Corte Madera.

Boca Pizzeria is an Italian inspired Pizzeria utilizing the abundance of Northern California’s seasonal ingredients, while showcasing local micro breweries and wine country’s boutique varietals. Boca Pizzeria has always been our little neighborhood gem we had in mind for years, where we can dine with our friends, family and loved ones.

Our pizzas are authentic Neapolitan style, which cooks for no more than 2 minutes in a 900 degree Italian wood burning oven, is made from double milled 00 Caputo flour. Our sauce is made of the finest San Marzano tomatoes imported from Italy. We make house-made mozzarella cheese daily.

We support local farmers in an effort to bring you the freshest ingredients.

We shared a delicious salad of fresh greens with chicken and pears and a veggie pizza with a nicely blistered crust and roasted mushrooms. The food is worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood. On a sunny day, the outdoor seating is comfortable. The down side of this place is the indifferent service. It is pretty clear that the managers and servers would rather stand around and chat than work.

Our party had a great dinner on the front patio. Excellent atmosphere, the cocktails are some of the best in Marin. The food is solid from top to bottom. The cheese flan-yum! The pizzas are as close to what we've eaten in Naples; there are few places in Marin that can pull off the right cooking technique. I would be remiss in not mentioning the desserts, outstanding. Overall a really great dinner.

The food was delicious but the service was weird. The waitress asked us if we want to see the desert menu when we were half way through our main course. She kept coming back and asking if there was anything else we wanted and whipped away our plates as soon as we took our last bite of food. We would never go back for a romantic, leisurely dinner, we felt far to rushed!

  • Wine LIst a teensy disappointment..

My only disappointment was the lack of Italian wines, although I suppose I can understand their wanting to support local vineyards. The Boca Salad was tasty -- perhaps more memorable than the Prosciutto di Parma pizza, although the two together were great!

Had a great lunch at Bocca. The beet salad and mushroom ravioli were both delicious (although salty)! We were disappointed to find that they had changed the pork entree on the menu so that it is now a pork scaloppini. There wasn't as much meat and it just didn't have the good sear that the larger piece of meat had. Please bring back the old dish!

Food was good. Recommend the bruschetta, though be prepared for really hard crostini bread (almost feels like you might break a tooth so be careful, or request for it to be lightly toasted). I usually have a pizza which I always enjoy plus a side of brussel sprouts, however I decided to try something new and ordered a pasta since it's house made pappardelle...I wasn't crazy about it. Would recommend sticking with pizza or calzone and appetizers/sides.

What's up with this? Isn't a Pizzeria supposed to have good pizza? ::: Our second visit to see if things had improved ::: It hasn't ::: We can't understand why Boca doesn't do good pizza, and it'll be the death of them ::: Boca Novato serves blackened pizza, so we stopped going there after three visits ::: Here at the Village, our two visits have served us shameful pizza - THE CRUST is all wrong, either flat/dead dough or overly thick and chewy and unremarkable ::: The cheese is almost undetectable, the sauce forgettable ::: On the upside, they have a good meatball appetizer and the frizee salad with beets is nice except when swimming in dressing ::: Boca should try harder to do better ::: Pizza Antica in Mill Valley is much better...

Terrific appetizers. We particularly like the polenta with roasted mushrooms and the rustico salad as starters. The pizzas are nicely blistered and the eggplant topping was delicious. The only consistent disappointment is the service. The managers were standing around chatting with servers while they graze on the garnishes at the bar. It was pretty clear that no one outside the kitchen cared about the customers' experience.

It is a shame that the service is so indifferent. It simply doesn't live up to the food. The servers were gathered by the bar chatting and watching TV instead of tending to customers. They need a strong manager to keep everyone focused on work instead of their social lives.

The fennel sausage and pepperoni is one of the BEST pizzas they make. I'm not a fan of the smoked chicken one. Brussel sprouts with pancetta and pecorino is an awesome side dish. The organic roasted beets salad with frissé, hazelnuts, feta is delicious BUT you need to share because it's very filling!

This was our first time dining at the Boca Pizza in Corte Madera. We had only been to the Ignacio one.The experience was very pleasant OTHER than a screaming baby at a nearby table that ruined everything for a lot of people. The parents were completely blind to it and even had the nerve to tell us off when we FINALLY complained after hearing 40 minutes of non-stop screaming! The waitress apologized to us and about 4 other tables. She also mentioned that the screaming babies frequent this restaurant which makes me think twice before going back to that loctation again. I am also upset that I had to say something to the parents and not the manager of the restaurant. I didn't feel it was my place to have done so.

My 14 year old son and I enjoyed dinner at Boca on Friday night. We were able to make a reservation (a plus) and the restaurant was at about 80% capacity. I ordered the lamb/arugula salad, my son ordered pizza, and we shared the garlic flat bread as an appetizer. Boca served a generous portion of flat bread, six slices. It had excellent flavor, but was doughy - not thin and crispy like I expected. Next came the entries. The pizza was HEAPED with arugula. it was good, but the amount of arugula excessive. The lamb salad included a generous portion of sliced lamb, small cubes of potatoes, and a tasty chutney on a MOUNTAIN of ARUGULA. The arugula overwhelmed the other items. I would try the salad again, if the proportions were changed.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008

Although we had a reservation we had to wait 20 minutes for the table. No apology from the hostess. The drinks took a long time to arrive as there was only one barman for a full restaurant. The food arrived very fast - almost beat the drinks. It was all good but not outstanding. It felt a little like a chain restaurant and I had expected a more original take from this group. We had a mix of things, pizza, calzone, polenta with mushrooms, clams and octopus. The brussels sprouts were very overcooked. We should really have sent them back, but after the wait for the table did not want the delay.

It shouldn't be that difficult to make salad and pizza work well together, but somehow this place just doesn't know how to do it very well. I think that a server should know when asked if an ingredient is missing from a dish, or at least check the menu to confirm, because the menu is not very extensive or complicated. Very disappointing experience, not recommended.

I actually love Boca Pizzeria in Ignacio, so I was disappointed with my meal at the Corte Madera location. The garlic flatbread was excellent, but the beet salad had a dressing that missed the mark - more acidity was needed. The roasted mushroom pizza was topped with too much cheese & the crust was soggy & flabby. I won't be back.

Food was fantastic. Not just in taste, but in presentation. We had the salmon, the pork chop and the steak and we'd order the same entrees again next time. We didn't try the pizza, but that seemed to be very popular with all the families. And the chocolate cake for dessert was divine! We'll be back for sure! Boca Pizzzeria is a welcome addition to The Village Mall. It sits outside of the mall itself so you don't feel as if you are in a mall setting. The decor is rustic and inviting. For a spot at the mall, the food was very good. We shared the burrata with tapenade and crostini which was delicious. And it was a generous portion for two. The mushroom pizza has a nicely crisped crust and was topped with roasted mushrooms and plenty of gooey cheese. The two downsides were the service and the seating. The tables for two were very close together and the server kept bumping into our table as she tried to get between tables. And our server walked around the floor smiling and carefully avoiding looking at the tables to see if we needed anything. So we had to flag her down for refills and the check. It's not a destination restaurant, but we'll go back if we get hungry when we're already at the mall.

Everyone in my party of 5 liked the food overall. I thought the atmosphere was reminiscent of a ski lodge and not that pleasant. The service, while friendly, was not on top of his game. It wasn't too noisy but then it wasn't too busy. I think with a full house it would be energetic because there was nothing in the decor to absorb sound except the cloth napkins.

We love Boca pizza in Novato, so were pleased to see them open closer to home. The experience is the same and I think the pizzas are even better at the new location. The octopus starter is a must order! This location is quieter thanks to the glass separating the open kitchen from the dining area. The outside area will be nice when the warmer weather arrives.
