The food at Limon is always great and this location is no exception. The portions are big and the flavors are amazing. I would recommend the aguadito de pollo if you like a nice flavorful chicken soup. I think this place will be a staple in my list of restaurants to visit when I just want some good hearty food with great flavor.

Good food, friendly service, but they lost a service point because they kept trying to take away food we were still lingering over.

  • I am disappointed at the food
    OpenTable Diner Since 2008

I am disappointed at the food quality! This is my 4th visit to the restaurant and I definitely feel that food isn't the same quality that I have came to expect. The Chveiche Mixto tasted over salted, and Anticuchos de Res was chewy. Our side of vegetales salteados looked like it just took a swim in oil. I felt like the food was prepared in a rush and not much care was put into the food or the presentation of the dish. Very different than my last three visits. And their special drink Chicha Morada was not available the day I visited. :( Chicha Morada is one of the reason why I keep coming back

The food is delicious and service attentive. Yuca fries hot & crispy outside, creamy inside. Rotisserie chicken juicy and delightfully spiced. Also recommend beef hearts, ensaldada rusa (Peruvian potato salad: beets, potatoes, carrots in a creamy dressing - all pink due to the beets), tacu-tacu (spiced mixture of beans and rice), mango lemonade. Quiet at lunch - good for conversation. More lively at dinner. They have a special fixed-price menu for groups where you get a good sampling of much of the menu. Great to see the upgraded Third St. corridor is attracting high quality restaurants. Parking is free in the garage under the building - shared with Fresh & Easy supermarket.

The waiters were outstanding, I couldn't believe how good they treated us. They thought the chicken wasn't ready si they came out three times to give us an update. The food was delicious so were the drinks. I just wish the place was a little bigger, but hey its still a great place. Definitely coming back, thanks guys.

Out of the way place with excellent parking! Beautiful restaurant with friendly service. Food is unique, sophisticated and delicious. Lunchtime was quiet enough so my friends and I could hear each other. We will be returning.

I really enjoy Limon Rotisserie. I've always gone to the one in the MIssion but have been wanting to got to Bay View for a while now. I'm glad I did. Food is great, atmosphere quite nice. Service is good, but since it's slow at that location, they almost come up to the table a little too much for my taste. It'll be better when they get busier and have more to do.

Lovely expansion of the delicious charming Limon of the Mission. Food was just wonderful - I love it every time i eat at one of the Limons - and the manager carefully sees to each detail. A joy to have this daring beach-hold into bayview's burgeoning dining scene. we will be back.

Delicious food, attentive service, easy parking, will certainly return! The restaurant is easy to miss, however, as the front is a bit obstructed, but otherwise, it is very accessible when driving.

This is one of the best restaurants I've been to. The girlfriend was very impressed as well. The food was delicious and the waiters were very attentive, perhaps a bit over the top, though this could be due to the fact that they had a lot of people waiting to be seated. The kitchen can be viewed from the dinning area. Am not sure if this is a positive or negative, though I thought it was a bit distracting. Overall, it was a great experience

I would definitely recommend this Limon location. The parking was easy, secure, & free! The waiters were very attentive & our food was ready quick. The food was awesome! I had the Rotisserie Chicken with fries and my friend had the fried chicken plate. Drinks were also delicious. The only thing I was a little uncomfortable with was the seating. We sat at the tables to the left when you walk in. It felt like the seats & tables were too close together. Other than that, this place was great!

I am glad that Limon has moved into the Bayview. It's a lovely space, but I must say the food was mediocre. The roast chicken tasted like it had been reheated from a previous day's batch. The tacu tacu was way too salty. Ceviche was overly acidic. Hope the food improves and lives up to the Limon reputation.

We are big fans of Limon's main restaurant on Valencia in the Mission, so we thought we'd try their new rotisserie in Bay View on third st. It was amazing!!! Even though it's a ways from our house down the Peninsula, we plan to frequent it often.

The food was excellent. If you're around this neighborhood, it's a great place to go (with free parking). Our friends had been to the Limon in the Mission and thought the food was equally as good at this location. Our favorite was the empanadas. Better than in Peru!

Food was great. Service was excellent. Everything else is a plus. It's nice to have this place in the Bayview. The crowd the night I was there reflected what I prefer, not the obnoxious hipsters that now flood my old neighborhood - The Mission. Do visit and frequent this establishment.

Limon on 23rd and South Van Ness...and on Valencia get extremely noisy. We were visiting with old friends and wanted to talk. I guessed that the new Limon wouldn't be too busy...especially for lunch on New Year's Eve. I was right. There were only two other groups there. It was perfect and tasty, as well.
