We has a surprisingly good meal at Brix. The restaurant is right off highway 29, but the gardens and surrounding vineyards make you feel like you are in paradise. There are these very romantic side-by-side seating tables for two. The food, although not incredibly unique, was prepared and presented very well. The service was the best I have ever received in the valley; friendly, attentive and not too stuffy. The sommelier was extremely generous with offering samples and suggestions.

Really wonderful location and view! The brunch menu was interesting making choices difficult. We requested some side dishes as starters to share although they were not on the menu and the waiter was very flexible and accomodating. A thoroughly fulfilling experience. I would return.

The fresh warm mini chive biscuits that were served shortly after we sat down were a nice touch, but we would have enjoyed them more if our drinks had been served first. The white corn soup was especially sweet and flavorful. Dinner was also delayed and wait staff apologized twice for taking so long, but they did not offer us a free drink or dessert which was warranted. The women's room desperately needed tending to-no and low toilet paper supply in two stalls and spilled candle wax on the counters as well as very messy sink areas. Wooden dining chairs were very uncomfortable but not all were wooden-there were soft banquettes for twosomes. Lovely views of the gardens and vineyards and we were invited to walk through the garden.

I was looking forward to a new and exciting look for 25 Brix but I was disappointed. The decor felt heavy and old-fashioned with all the wine casks as booths and the dark colors. We were seated in the back and couldn't enjoy the view, which I know is spectacular. The food was average. It just wasn't up to Yountville's standards .

I went to Brix last year and it was some of the best restaurants I knew. The food was delicious even though a little bit expensive. After many months, I went back to Brix. The name is almost the same: 25 Brix; but everything else is different. The food is really bad and based on fried fish & chips or hamburgers. Prices are still high and the service is slow. It took them 30 min to make a NY steak sandwich and when it came it was hard to eat ... literally, the bread was like stone.

My wife and I recently spent our honeymoon in Napa Valley. We had the opportunity to dine at many of the highly recommended restaurants in the valley, including 25° Brix. Compared to its Napa Valley peers, we found 25° Brix to be very disappointing overall for the money and atmosphere. According to OpenTable.com, reservations and business casual attire were required to enjoy dinner at 25° Brix. Per the website instructions, we promptly made reservations over a month in advance and arrived at the restaurant in business casual dress. Upon entering the restaurant, we found very few individuals dressed beyond jeans and t-shirts. What we really found disturbing was the presence of a family, dining two tables away from us, with two kids ru

The tenderloin entree was a delicious choice! We brought our own wine ($20 corkage) but took a peak at the wine list and it was very extensive. A great spot to hit during a Napa Valley vacation!

The decor changes that have been made are lovely--gives the restaurant a totally different look. Was greatly disappointed in the change of the Sunday brunch. Instead of the full-line brunch with food stations, there were only about 8 menu options. It was quite a bit more expensive than the "old" brunch was with less value. The food, as always at Brix was great, we were just expecting the brunch to still be the same--It was also quite a bit more expensive for limited offerings than the full brunch -- we felt more expensive with less value.

We ordered their delicious Brix Cab which is a deep and balanced red worth drinking by the glass or bottle. While we put in, warm bread with a yummy butter arrived--must be Bouchon bakery--the best. The mussels with chorizo and garlic toasts came out in a wonderful cast iron pot. Great dish and nice broth to dunk the bread We had the white corn soup too--light and fresh with scallops as a nice surprise Then our entrees: Grilled beef tenderloin with gorgonzola butter, ducky potatoes and radicchio ; and roast chicken with Israeli couscous. This was our first experience dining at Brix (now 25 degrees Brix) and it was just shy of outstanding, with nothing particularly on the negative side. We arriced a little late and were graciously seated; the service was attentive and knowledgable, especially the wine service (we were treated to 2 great selections by our somm, both moderately priced). I will say that the list is chock full of great small producers, most of whom I'm not familiar with and which carry some hefty pricing (they could use more selections under $100). Appetizers and entrees were very good to excellent, the grounds were fun to walk around in, and we really enjoyed the experience a great deal. We'll definitely be back!

I travel in annually from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and make it a priority to go to Brix. They have taken great care of me and my guests every time I go there. My party was the last to leave on 10/10/08 and the staff never tried to rush us out. We had a great visit with our waiter, Dallas, the person running the wine sales, the restaurant manager, and the bartender who was helping us sample a bottle of Pinot Noir. Everyone was very cordial and ready to continue serving our needs until we were ready to leave. A real "Class Act" that will continue to bring us back again and again. Kudos!

My wife and I sat on the patio on a somewhat cool October night and enjoyed the view of the moonlit vineyards in the distance. The food was outstanding. Particularly noteworthy was the White Corn Soup with Oyster Fritter, and the Grilled Beef Tenderloin. The hostess and servers seemed a little over-busy (slow to greet, take orders, and follow-up), but water glasses were never empty, the wine steward made excellent (and not too expensive) wine recommendations, and our overall experience was outstanding.

Last three times we've been to Brix the service has been a bit distant, to the point of being almost unfriendly. The bartender is mysteriously slow as well. Yesterday at brunch, we wanted more wine but could get no one's attention. Finally got the waiter's attention. But then wine never appeared. Halfway through the meal we finally flagged down our waiter and reminded him. He said the bartender had been asked. Okay? Well, how long does it take to pour two glasses of wine? It was not busy. We finally received the wine AFTER we had finished the main course. See guys, the idea here is wine and food go TOGETHER! Not happy and we're regulars! Wouldn't complain ordinarily but last 3 times something has been "off."
