I was not expecting this place to be as great as it was. I am super picky and when spending good money for food & service, I feel as though I have the right to be picky. This place exceeded my expectations and I will definitly be going back!

  • New Favorite Restaurant in Vegas!

    Dined on 1/22/2012
This is my new favorite restaurant in Vegas! This is a new favorite and I will be back next time I'm in town from LA! I walked in to find a beautiful and comfortable restaurant that managed to be both hip and romantic. I tried a few of the house cocktails. There was one with apples and cinnamon that I particularly liked. The bread was delicious. There was a variety in the basket, which I always appreciate. One of the breads had bacon in it!?!? Win! We tried the lobster mac & cheese, the chopped salad, the burger, the short rib and the asparagus. All were memorable. The service was outstanding. We were pleasantly surprised by a complimentary cheesecake dessert that was amazing! Try this place- you will not be disappointed!!!

Great food - especially the artichokes and the scallops (with Oxtail!). The chicken soup is really outstanding. Salads are so-so. The manager, Chris, is a nice guy but dresses sloppy for such a classy place (jeans with shirt tail hanging out).

I have been here for lunch a few times. My soup and main course have been very good. It is a small resteraunt with good service. Small menu, and I don't like that breakfast on the weekends ends at 10:30am. Not good for Sunday. But they do have an all you can drink Champagne (5 choices of cocktails) or Bloody Marys (choice of 4) for $20. Good deal if you plan to have a few. Give it a try for lunch, I think you will be surprised!

The Barrymore was recommended to us by our bartenders at Paris - we reserved right away through Open Table and were absolutely delighted! Gabriel, our server, was very knowledgable about the menu, which was just fabulous! Try the Roasted Artichoke - yummy! Love the atmosphere - it's what we've been looking for in Vegas - we will definitely return.

The service was outstanding, from the host, to the bartender, to our server. The food was prepared very well. When 2 of us at the table asked to share a dish (the roasted chicken), we were pleasantly surprised that the kitchen split it for us, on 2 separate dishes, because they wanted the presentation to look good! I'll be back.

This is definitely in my top 5 fav restaurants in Vegas....and I've been to A LOT!! The waiter recommended the burger and said it was the best in town....although those are big words, we decided to try it as an appetizer split in 4. And he was RIGHT!!! Holy Smokes....it was delicious! I had the Rack of lamb and it was definitely some of the best lamb I have ever had that was seasoned and cooked perfectly!! And they give you 2 huge pieces! Great food! Great atmosphere!!

The restaurant has a really great feel, and the service was great; however, the SeaBass was not very good t all, and my wife's scallops tasted like they had been under the heat lamp for an hour! I was really excited to try the restaurant, but will not go back. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment, for us.

The exterior of the Royal Palms Hotel is a little deceiving as once you get inside, it feels like you're in a hip boutique hotel. The decor of the Barrymore reminds me of old Hollywood glamour. Service was a bit slow. The food was solid. We had the chopped salad, chicken wings, and the lobster roll. My friends raved about the wings. The lobster was decent - I wasn't expecting too much considering the $15 price (having had meaty lobster rolls in Boston for $24+). Definitely worth checking the place out!

We had such a lovely time. Our waiter was terrific, polite, attentive but unobtrusive. The onion soup was very good. My husband loved the tartar. My steak was done to perfection. Although the lobster was frozen, they did the best they could with frozen seafood. (If it wasn't frozen, then, bad boy! It should not have tasted so.) We would recommend this place to friends and will return.

This restaurant was rated tops by CNN for a great place to go in Las Vegas, so we had to try it during our recent trip (4 of us). Although there were only two other tables it took 1.5 hours to get our meals. French onion soup too sweet to eat. Sea bass overcooked and beans were undercooked. Steak excellent flavor and tender, yet was medium and not medium rare. Two other dishes were excellent. With so many top restaurants to select from in Vegas, I wouldn't recommend this one as a "must try."

The food was good, just nothing exceptional.I would like to try it for dinner as it has had rave reviews for their chef. Prices for lunch ok. Wine was $8 a glass. Ambience ok. Might be nice in the evening in low light. The staff was very friendly. GM came over to our table and introduced himself.

First impression: this place is in a side room of a seedy, dilapidated hotel. Oh, no, I thought. There's still time to bail and go someplace decent. But then we entered the beautifully appointed intimate dining room and the magic began. EVERYTHING from friendly attentive (while still being unobtrusive) service, to menu diversity, to food presentation, to the food itself... was perfect. Order the lobster mac and cheese and ask for the risotto if it's not on the menu. Two words of advice: go there.

The Ambiance of the whole place is great. From the lighting to the design and color scheme. A few friends and I came for brunch and we loved it!. The bottomless mimosas are a greet way to enjoy your food.. Our food server was super nice and very informative. The calamari my friend ordered was a bit cold so he returned it. But again our food server apologized and was quick to fix it. Overall great experience, I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a fun yet intimate time.

Service was outstanding at this retro style restaurant just off the strip. The only reason the Ambiance did not get 5 stars from me is that a large group was at the center table in the room we were placed and they were quite loud. The food was very good, portion sized were just right but we made the mistake of ordering sides (which were perfect) and over doing it. Their is a bar area just outside the dining room proper, it a comfortable stylish space with a few bar seats and scattered lounge areas, great for a relaxed drink before dinner.
