A word from Roberto's Trattoria
Casual, friendly, and family owned, Roberto's Trattoria specializes in pasta, made by hand, from the freshest quality ingredients. Among our signature dishes are pear ravioli in a brandy cream sauce, and "Ravioli alla Roberto" filled with savory crabmeat. If you're feeling "crazy" try our spaghetti alla schizzofrenica. Roberto's Trattoria also features classical Italian dishes.

Our experience was fantastic as usual. You simply cannot beat the value for dollar at Roberto's. I have tried the meat and spinach ravioli and they are both excellent. My husband loves the way they cook the veal. Roberto's has become a regular dining spot of ours!

I loved my dish. I got their Rigatoni Alla Rustica, and it tasted amazing. Great sauce, nice pasta. I'd definitely recommend that. On the other hand, my Dad ordered their Ravioli Di Carne, and it wasn't that great. The pasta was too tough and chewy, and the sauce was too watery. We got there right when the restaurant opened, though, so perhaps they had to rush and the ravioli wasn't fully cooked yet?

We love Roberto's and have been regulars for nearly a year. The only issues with this most recent dining experience was the entrees took longer than usual to arrive and my ravioli was al dente and I am not crazy about al dente pasta, especially ravioli. Everything else was excellent.

Not a great experience. We had a reservation. We were seated and then nobody waited on us for about 10 minutes. We were given the specials once we already knew what we wanted (secondary to sitting there for a while). Food was ok (I think I was already a bit annoyed from waiting so this is a biased opinion). My husband was very happy with his dinner.

Love the HOMEMADE pasta....one of the few Italian resturants where they actually make from scratch and not buy from a vendor. Larry the Bartender makes the best cocktails....and Roberto is a great guy. Tuesday nights are BYO.... only downside it the noise...its just one big room so you can hear everyone conversations.

This is a neighborhood restaurant but isn't a gem. This is the second time I've eaten there and will probably go back once in a great while. The food was generally acceptable--though the sauce on the pear ravioli was a bit gummy and the broccoli florets accompanying the main course were quite overdone. The grilled barramundi was well prepared and flavorful. No problem with the service and the physical atmosphere in a building that was once a residence was appropriately subdued.

A local gem that is a little off the beaten path but close to Chestnut Hill. Excellent fresh pastas and desserts, and very reasonably priced. Despite living nearby for several years, I'd never been to Roberto's. Having seen several articles recently about this "neighbourhood gem" I decided it was time my partner and I paid a visit. The restaurant is small with a lively bar. We enjoyed a wonderful meal, every bit as good as I was hoping. I tried the apple, almond and asiago cheese speciality ravioli - it was delicious! The desserts are also well worth trying, we enjoyed the chocolate mousse cake. We'll definitely be dining at Robertos again!

The wildflower and herb garden lining the walkway to the restaurant entrance sets the scene for an escape to a relaxing place. The service maintained this feeling throughout the meal. Our waiter was polite, helpful, and attentive but allowed us to linger in converstation as long as we liked. The homemade ravioli are a must. Don't be put off by the inventive combinations of ingredients and flavors. Try them.

This is a little place in Erdenheim that I would never have found if friends hadn't recommended it. Great homemade pasta dishes. Very authentic Italian. Definitely try the pear raviolis- they were the best. The food was good and the server was knowledgeable. There was a large party that left mid way through our meal and they made it hard to hear my husband.

The service was very attentive especially our waiter Kevin who was always there to fill our wine & water glasses & was an enjoyable conversationalist . Since we had money left over from our gift certificate, we can't wait to go back & try some of the other dishes on the menu!

This is a quaint little place whose size and decor resembles Italian restaurants in South Philly. There were few patrons at the time of our seating, so my wife and I were able to hold a conversation without shouting or asking to repeat what was just said. The food was absolutely delicious. We shared a couple of appetizers and picked off each others dinner plates. We started with mussels and an eggplant appetizer then had spinach gnocchi and I believe it was lobster ravioli for dinner. Everything tasted great and was seasoned perfectly, not overly salted like I find frequently when dining out nowadays. They have a lot of menu options and I cannot wait to return to try something else.

Excellent as usual. Roberto's is one of only a handful of Italian restaurants in which my husband and I will dine in the Delaware Valley. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. Servers are attentive and knowledgable. The atmosphere is on the quiet side, which is what we like. The only regret is that we did not find Roberto's sooner. We did not know about them until they joined Open Table.

How happy it made us to dine here, and in every respect. The cooking is authentic in a way that's mighty hard to find. The interesting menu includes traditional Roman dishes, carefully prepared, flavorful, and hearty: It may seem simple, but it's a great pleasure, and all too rare. The premises are attractive, the staff is friendly and helpful, the atmosphere easy and casual. Very high quality and not note of pretension anywhere. Pure enjoyment.

The only time I've been disappointed was by showing up on a busy night without a reservation. OpenTable is so easy, I'll always use it. Roberto had a number of specials. I tried the chicken breast stuffed with cheese. It was superb. It came with potatos rather than the pasta Roberto's is known for. A very good choice. If you book an early dinner, you'll find parking in the small lot. If you eat late, leave a few minutes extra to search for street parking. The best way to describe Roberto's is Chestnut Hill Dining at a modest price.

Very good homemade pasta dishes with imaginative ingredients. The pear ravioli that we tasted as an appetizer could definitely be a dessert. The ravioli sauces were tasty and thick, the fillings OK. My ricotta and spinach ravioli seemed a little too al dente. I began with the meat ravioli, (because our plates were switched by mistake) and found the sauce sweeter than I prefer. High marks for imagination. The cherry pie ala mode was a perfect combination of warm and cold.
