A word from Olive & Ivy Restaurant & Marketplace
Dining under the shady trees on Olive and Ivy’s massive patio feels more like Southern France than southern Scottsdale. If you are looking for pomp and circumstance of quiet elegance, try the signature private-dining venue, the Stamp Room. If it’s night-life, we have you covered twice with the outdoor lounge and bar. You’ll enter your own little Mediterranean world the first moment you set foot in Olive & Ivy.

For some, the day simply doesn’t start unless it starts at The Marketplace at Olive & Ivy. Scents of fresh-baked muffins, croissants, and dark rich espresso lure passersby in from the quiet sidewalk. They read the paper. They sip squeezed orange juice. They toast the morning. Help yourself start every day the right way at the Marketplace.

We requested the back of the restaurant because it was too noisy in the front and were satisfied with the table. We were a party of four. The service was excellent. Three of the four of us thought our entrees were delicious. The fourth person did not like getting his lasagne served in a bowl and felt the sauce was a little watery. Three of us loved the dessert (peanut butter pudding was the best). The fourth person did not like getting his cheesecake served in a bowl. I tasted it and it was too fluffy, I've had better. Overall a good experience and couldn't have had better service.

We went here based on friends recommendations. Several times it was too crowded to be seated. The location near the canal, mall and shopping is great. It's noisy and crowded. The menu and wine choices are relatively limited. Mostly a carbo place. Service was fair but friendly. All in all it's like a more expensive Olive Garden . I am not sure what the excitement is about this place as there are many restaurants nearby which offer better food, beverages and less noise.

We ate at Olive and Ivy twice in three days! That should say it all, this time we ate four different dishes, the kale salad and the lamb meatballs, both of which were outstanding. The gnocchi with added shrimp was also fantastic, the natural chicken was very good but was a little too runny for my tastes, but that said with a spoon I did eat it all. A new favourite when in town.

Stumbled upon Olive & Ivy in Open Table for dinner our last night in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Decided to try it because of the outdoor patio. What a great find. Ambiance was outstanding - great patio. Service was excellent. Food was extraordinary. Will definitely return on my next trip to the area.

Went for dinner on a Saturday evening. It was a big place and pretty busy when we got there. Service was prompt but not in your face. The menu was good with a little something for everyone. One of our party was vegan and the got an entree they just loved. The place is flexible on the different diets and can accommodate most requests. We had fish which was very good not dry but nice and moist. Everyone was happy after dinner and we will definitely be going back here. Have fun!

We ate here based on the number of positive reviews for Olive and Ivy. Believe the reviews, the food is fresh well prepared and precisely seasoned. The bruschetta are a must have, order a selection to share, so good. Entrees were equally good, but the standout dishes were the puddings. Just brilliant and at 5$ a real snip.

My first visit there to meet with a client for lunch and I was very impressed. The decor and atmosphere was beautiful and welcoming. The staff was very attentive and informative. The food was great. It did take a little longer for the food to get to the table, but very worth it. I cannot wait to go there again and dine outside this time.

I haven't had anything I didn't like here. My husband ordered the "big eye" tuna and was impressed by the flavor and ample portion. I had my old standby, the veal and spinach ravioli delicious as always. We split a small plate of the artichoke salad. Drinks were good, everything was so tasty and the Memorial Day special discount made it even better!

The food and the ambience were superb. We sat on the patio on a perfect May evening and enjoyed the 3-piece bruschetta (they cut each piece in 3rds, so there are 9 total pieces...something not clear from the menu), entrees (veal pasta, risotto, scallops), and dessert. All the food was spectacular. We dined at the restaurant late, arriving around 9:45pm, and our server was always stopping by trying to rush us, even though there were other guests dining late as well.

The experience at Olive and Ivy is always great. Teresa was a fabulous server, great personality, and went the extra mile to make our night extra special. The food was all fabulous - bruschetta, bacon wrapped dates, artichoke, Scallops on polenta were all fabulous. The only (small) issue I had was my spicy shrimp risotto wasn't spicy at all (like no spice), and it needed salt and pepper to really make it taste good, which I hardly ever add at a restaurant. Once I did that, it was perfect. We like the bottle of syrah so much - delicious selection. Will definitely dine there again.

The food was absolutely delicious. We all loved the open patio area. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Our only complaint was that, by the time dinner was over, we were unable to order dessert because it was put away for the evening. We were never asked to put in a dessert order, and never informed that we would not be able to place an order. OUr reservation was for 10:00 PM but, when we arrived, we were told that the kitchen was closed. We felt very rushed.

Olive and Ivy became our friend in the Phoenix airport....yes, you read that right! Every time we fly out, we have our lattes and pastries there in their little cafe. So, we decided to give the restaurant a try. Of course, not being sure if we'd like it based upon our "taste" of it in the airport, we decided to go for lunch. Amazing simply isn't enough of a word to describe it! Great menu, small but exciting. Food - simply impeccible! Service - can't say enough about the friendly staff and the kindness and patience of our waiter as we lingered over wine and placed our orders a bit at a time. He understood that we wanted to enjoy every moment. The burgers are to die for and hubby's chicken over grenn salad scrumptious!

Great restaurant. Beautiful decor, cozy inviting outdoor area. Our server was friendly and knowledgable. She was very patient with us, as we were talking A LOT and didn't order as quickly as we should have. She gave us all the attention we needed. Not the largest menu selection I've ever seen, but it was enough and we all had something different. Everything was absolutely delicious. Our selections included chicken, beef, fish and pasta, and everything was cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend Olive & Ivy.

What a wonderful dining experience! The menu was varied as there was something for everyone in our party. Our reservations were honored on time. Can't wait to go back for another celebration.

We travel to Arizona regularly, for pleasure, business, with family and as a couple. One of the pleasures of the Scottsdale/Phoenix area is the excellent and dynamic restaurant scene. Certain restaurants get our repeat business virtually every trip. Olive and Ivy is certainly in the top 3-5 of our favorites. Part of a larger collection which includes nORth and True Foods, O&I consistently delivers excellent food, attentive service and atmosphere. Speaking of atmosphere, one of the best features of these restaurants is that the combination of food, service and environment serves to draw an ever fascinating clientele. From hip seniors, sports figures, and the merely trendy, we are always assures of a great experience.
