My hubby and I went for the first time on Valentine's Day. The food was really good, as was the service and overall experience. I know my hubby would have liked a larger beer list, but they did have a few. We would definitely visit again, and recommend to friends!

Palettes was a wonderful choice for our Valentines dinner. The eggplant dish was amazing and our server was personable and offered great suggestions when asked. I loved the decor and ambiance of the restaurant, clean lines and light, airy feeling. I really enjoyed Palettes and I have already recommended it to several people. I look forward to going back there again!

Palettes, where we eat occasionally, can be good but occasionally is just okay. The fries were said to be truffled, but tasted like any fries except those at the Aroostook County fair (which are better by far). The slaw was good but made with carrots and raisins. The lobster roll was watery, less lobstery than in a Maine McDonalds. The macaroni with lobster and vegetables was a more appropriate use of lobster and a more successful dish. The service was prompt and efficient; the setting museum- like. We'll be back, hoping to do better.

Fond a table on Vaentines Day. Food was fabulous starting with ahi tacos and moving to amazing enchiladas in a great black bean mole sauce. Diverse menu for all to enjoy. Wait staff seemed very busy and could have used another hand or two. Great gem in the museum.

Just a totally pleasurable dining experience. I thought the 3 courses for $28 was a terrific bargain. The food was excellent; our waiter was excellent; the room was so comfortable and inviting and I loved he huge windows as well. I would definitely return the next time I am at the museum and would definitely recommend Palettes.

My wife and I reserved a table at this restaurant as we were scheduled to see the Passport to Paris exhibit at the Art Museum. Plus, we are a big fan of Kevin Taylor restaurants. We were not disappointed here. The combinations of tastes in each the Apps, Entree's, and deserts was amazing as always. If you have not yet, make plans to eat here.

The menu is truly a masterpiece and the restaurant is beautiful. I was so disappointed that my dining experience with amazing food and scenery was compromised by the incredibly poor service. Nick was our waiter, took both of our plates while we were still eating without asking if we were done, did not offer dessert and very urgently brought us our check. We saw other servers talking in depth about the desserts, being attentive and respectful. When we brought our experience to the front desk's attention, it felt it was not really acknowledged, not looking for a free handout but certainly expected and looked forward to the dining experience being perfect all the way around. It is the whole package, and with bad service, it colors it badly.

Food was fantastic as always, and the 3-course pris fixe option (which applies to the whole menu) is a great deal. It was a busy Friday night at the end of a popular Art Museum exhibit so service was super slow this time, but hard to complain too much when the cuisine is so awesome.

We had fabulous 3-course meals for $28 each, and our drinks (wine, cocktails) were only $7 each. Incredibly priced for such delicious food! The menu is varied and interesting, and while the different ingredients in some the dishes are surprising, they go great together. Definitely recommended.

Very nice dining experience after touring Passport to Paris exhibit! Promptly seated though the restaurant was packed. Wait staff couldn't have been nicer, and the diver scallops dish was one of the best I've had in Denver! Another member of my group had the braised short ribs which were also delicious! Enjoyable atmosphere with no sense of rushed dining. Highly recommend, and will certainly return again.

The service was fair. It took longer than customary for someone to greet us, pour water and ask us for our drink order. The food came quite timely. We both ordered classic eggs benedict. The eggs were hard and consequently made the dish a bit dry. The fruit garnish was really nice and the hollandaise was tasty. The waitress did ask us, when she took our order, if we had a scheduled reservation for viewing the Passport to Paris collection, which was considerate. It was a convenient location for us as we were going to the DAM however next time I will no doubt choose another restaurant.

Its a great location in Downtown Denver to see the area. I have been to this restaurant four times and the food the first three times was very good, however on Saturday the 2nd of February, the food was not as good and the service was slow. I ordered the Turkey Club with Fries and the Sandwich was small and the toast was burned.

Two of us went through the new collection "Paris" and we always have lunch at Palettes. We know there are other really good restaurants in Denver, but we love being able to have a fabulous late lunch without going outside - and then going back into the museum after lunch if we didn't finish with the museum or we want to enjoy the gift shops. The menu is always different and everything delicious! Hard to choose...

If you are into the Denver culture scene, then Palettes is a great place to dine. Located in the Denver Art Museum (DAM) complex, it offers easy access to several museums and civic locations. The lunch menu was extensive and varied, food preparation and presentation was excellent and the wait staff was attentive and professional. Allow time for a leisurely dining experience since it does take time to prepare food of this quality. Reservations are also advisable, especially during one of the museum's special exhibits. Patrons of the DAM will crowd the restaurant especially during exhibit openings.

Four of us had lunch here after a museum visit. Luckily we made reservations as the restaurant was full when we arrived at 1145A. We ordered our selections from the Pre Fixe menu and were very satisfied. We all had the scallops with crab which was cooked just right and delicious. We also enjoyed the salmon tar-tar and veg salad. Couldn't stay for dessert but the choices were excellent. Service and recommendations were right on target except for a wait for our entrees which didn't leave us time for dessert. Not really the restaurant's problem as we were on a tight schedule. A definite must for lunch again as we were not expecting such good food.

A must restaurant if you are going to the Denver Art Museum and especially if you are attending one of the many special exhibits that the museum has annually. The entrees are very creative with the daily "specials" often tied in a theme with the current important traveling exhibit. Try to reserve a window seat for "people watching".

Enjoyed a nice lunch before visiting the art museum. The ahi taco appetizer was outstanding, as was the bottle of cremant. The mac and cheese with lobster was so-so. I expected better from A Kevin Taylor restaurant. The lobster roll was good but seasoned a bit differently. Nice atmosphere with interesting view. Very convenient if going to the art museum. Service was very personable and helpful.

Let me begin by saying that we enjoyed our dining experience very much. The food was excellent and prepared and presented perfectly, but the service was disappointing. I ordered ice tea. I had to ask for sugar which came when the tea was half consumed. Never was I asked nor did I ask that my glass be refilled which it wasn't. Every other table had bread. After our main course came, we had to ask for bread which didn't come to the table until our meal was about half consumed. I expected better. Perhaps our server was new and still in training. However,I will return to Palettes in the future when I am in Denver and hope for improved service.

we were going to the Museum that afternoon and decided on Palette's since we have had great experiences in the past. The food this time was good but not great, so it was less than we expected. Palettes has a very nice ambiance and a varied menu, with something for nearly every taste and appetite. This was my third visit, and each time, the service has been impeccable. They often link their specials to the exhibits at the museum, which is a clever touch. Try not to fill up on the wonderful bread, and save room for the desserts! They are delicious. I suggest making a reservation, even for lunch, because it does get busy. If you want to make a nice afternoon out of a visit to the Denver Art Museum, you can't go wrong by including a meal here.

We reserved a table for lunch on our Passport to Paris DAM art day. It was perfect, and the atmosphere so decadent we decided to enjoy the bottomless bubbly. We chose the special fixed menu, and were very pleased. The food was excellent and the portions large (even dessert). The special salad and tuna tartare were wonderful. scallops with crab ravioli were spectacular. We ate all of our creme brûlée and chocolate cake- even though we probably shouldn't have (we're quite full at that point). =) Our waitress was great, and we were so happy we weren't rushed! A perfect day!
