A word from La Bella Vita Ristorante in enoteca Lounge
The new culinary experience, La Bella Vita Ristorante in Inoteka Lounge, will be approachable, intimate and engaging, referencing Trattorias surrounding the Piazzas of Italy. The interior design will complement the artful manner in which the food is prepared and served at the Antipasto Bar and Marketplace. The rustic finishes and textural materials will be genuine elements most commonly found in domestic Italian kitchens, such as marble, wood, copper and iron. Lighting and decorative fixtures will be strategically placed to enhance the food and create an intimate atmosphere; subtly illuminating the diverse dining areas. The color palate of the interior and patterns of the carpets and fabrics will be derived from both the food and the rich Italian history. The luminous colors of the ocean provide an additional dimension to the dining experience at Bella Vita.

Was staying at the resort. Top notch breakfast. Dinner was fine. A little too much garlic raw and otherwise on my pasta. Raw garlic anywhere is horrible. Pizza was good. Mussels were too buttery. A little less butter and more wine needed to compliment the fish.My spouse loved the papardelle short rib dish.

The food was very good and portions large...the first nite we had dinner inside the dining room and everything from the service to food was perfect. The following nite we had dinner outside and chose a grilled pizza and it was delicious! Mattie B. was the entertainment...he sings, as well as plays the horns, and he was EXCELLENT. Everyone wanted him to stay and play longer. We would definately recommend dining here to anyone that visits the Resort or area. Lorraine and Kevin

There are a lot of good restaurants in the area, and this is one of them. Really surprised at the quality for hotel dining, and with a spectacular view! Stick with wine or beer, as the cocktails are watered down.

The food was excellent, delivered hot and in a timely manner. The waitress was poorly prepared to answer questions and spoke so softly, you had to ask her to repeat everything. The major complaint we had was the noise level which was extreme! I could not hear my guest who was seated across from me at a small table. The noise was coming from the bar crowd and the live music. I would suggest asking for a table on the lower level which may help to decrease the sound. Overall, the meal was very good but because of the noise, will probably not return or suggest the restaurant to others.

Beautiful view, inside and out, elegant table settings, family friendly, noise level high. One meal chicken picatta very good, the other meal chicken parmigiana overcooked and crunchy with little or no sauce including on the pasta. The tirimisu was excellent! One bad meal would not discourage me from trying La Bella Vita Ristorante again but I would stay away from the chicken parmigiana.

Ate here two nights while staying in the hotel. We had a great dinner and a great time both nights. Scenery is beautiful from the patio. We had two different Ryan's serve us each night, both Ryan's were great. I would be warned that the kitchen is a bit slow.....so enjoy another drink

Because I went with 2 adults and 3 kids they gave us poor service thinking we wouldn't be big tippers. I'm in the industry and I give 30%. They put us in an awful table with no one in the place, we asked to move and they were not happy. Better places nearby we found, so skip this one!

A beautiful vista view toward the bay, the moon rising and a rainbow along with two musicians serenading the room, made the night an outstanding memory for the four of us. Each of us enjoyed our meals very much: mine the Caprese Insalate, seasoned tomatoes, then the main course with the Salmon Florentine on Risotto, perfectly prepared; my husband had the Prosciutto Scallops appetizer, then Chicken Saltimbocca; our friends enjoyed the Veal and the Haddock. We all remarked on the delicious meals we enjoyed, then finally we finished with four spoons and the creme brulee coming in a three sectioned server with three flavors, chocolate, coffee and vanilla . . . smooth and delicious! A lovely evening.

The restaurant has a great view of the golf course and the ocean. We went for dinner, and found that for an "Italian" restaurant, the dinner was just average. The sauce was not flavorful and the chicken parm you could get at any We serve it all, type restaurant.(the cheese wasn't even melted) I would not pay the dinner prices for the dinners we received again. I'm not sure if they use the same sauce for the pizza, if not, I would suggest trying that, it looked and smelled delicious The breakfast, however, was very well done. We had it from both room service and dined in the restaurant. Both meals were excellent. The staff was excellent also for both dinner and breakfast. I would suggest going for breakfast, and request a window seat

Staff extremely friendly and helpful - attentive, but not overbearing. Resort was not in full swing yet so the atmosphere was quiet and very enjoyable. Food well prepared and flavorful. This was only the second night the restaurant was open this season which may account for the poor quality of the food. My appetizer had to be sent back as it was cold and soggy. Very quickly though it was replaced. The main courses were average and not anything we would recommend to others. However we will try this restaurant again because we love the location, the service was very good and our separate dining room was wonderful...separated from the rest of the restaurant by glass. It was cozy and intimate. The renovations are outstanding and it feels more like a European resort which is very pleasing.

The food was excellent. The cheese plate, along with a few bowls of olives, make the Enoteca Lounge Anti Pasto bar a highlight of my recent trip to the Samoset Resort in Rockland, ME. A blue, a fresh mozzarella and a provolone contrasted nicely. The crustini was a bit stale. Olives were great and truffle oil a nice touch! The beet apetizer offered two types of roasted beets. The goat cheese was a tart offset to the sweetness of the beets. Entrees were very good for a resort restaurant. Service was very attentive and informative. The bar, located 20-30 feet across the open restaurant, was loud and distracting. It's too bad it couldn't be separated from the dining room. $$$ - expensive and should be reserved for a special trip

My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and found this restaurant last minute. What a find! The restaurant was beautiful and our server Jessica was perfect-attentive, friendly and conversational without overdoing it! The food was amazing as well :) My only complaint was that it was a tad noisy at 7:30pm with a full room of conversations going on. I have already recommended it to friends!

Pretentious prices for moderate food.... people without reservations (and wearing pajama pants) were sat before us (with a reservation). Waited 15+ mintues to be seated (no host/greeter at podium) although we had a reservation. We were sat at a table where I was sitting directly on a bench seat split. After being reseated we waited 30 minutes to order drinks/appetizer. Took 20 minutes more to actually get our wine. Server noticed 1hr 45mins into our dinner that we had not yet been given a bread basket. That was brought out just as we finished our entrees. On the up-side, the creme brulee was excellent and we raelly enjoyed our wine. We have written to the manager and still have received no response (after 3 days).

Hard to find a real GOOD restaurant in Maine, but this one definitely is GOOD-probably the BEST in Bar Harbour...it is not a "tourist trap".

We had a good first experience at this restaurant that seems to be finding its way at the Samoset Resort. The food was quite good, but aspects of the meal and service were fuzzy--long unexplained delays after ordering and the arrival of two courses almost on top of each other--but the server was quite adept at sorting that out and apologizing for the confusion. I thought our choice for wine was marginal--we picked a good looking bottle but it arrived a bit chalky--it should have been checked more carefully, but there was no sommelier from what we could see. The server said that was 'how the wine is'--it should have been decanted. It was a busy night, but we have had far better food for the same price in smaller restaurants in the midcoast.

Very beautiful restaurant with romantic dimly-lit ambiance. The tables for 2 in banquets tucked up along the wall in the sunken dining room looked especially cozy. Enjoyed the well-played piano music during dinner. Appreciated the staff following my instructions for a surprise candle in my husbands dessert and the piano striking up a chorus of Happy Birthday. On the down side, we felt the food was over priced and bland. Perhaps the powers-that-be feel the meal prices are justified by of the unusual shapes of the dishes.

The food was extraordinary. The server was lovely but stayed "scarce" as the customers at the table near us were giving her an obnoxiously difficult time over NOTHING. The dining room was quieter than usual which was a good thing. The landscaping outside was still gorgeous with full banks of flower beds still in bloom although the weather is getting colder.

The risoto they served was bland and all you could taest of the salmon was the grille. Service was a bit over kill, everyone including water server kept asking how was everything. We did not complain since we will never return to Marcels for dinners. We were staying at the resort which by the way lost power for 9 hours our first night and morning.
