We had a lovely Mother's Day dinner. Our table was ready when we arrived, and the staff was friendly but not over-bearing. Our dinners were served in a timely fashion and were delicious. We dined at Arugula before, and will certainly return.

When we arrived we weren't greeted for approximately 10 minutes. Then we had to wait to be seated even though half the room was empty. Everyone scruffied around us the entire time making it difficult to relax. Our waitress corked our wine and had to take it into he kitchen to decant it. We went up and served ourselves at the buffet and when we returned we had neither wine nor water on the table. We had to ask for water. The food was average at best for a brunch. There are much better choices in the area. I will not return there.

After having dinner several times at Arugula, I was anxious to try Mother's Day brunch. The food was very good as always. However, there was a lack of help for the brunch. The only person who came to our table was the bus boy after I called him to our table for beverages. The brunch was buffet style so it wasn't a problem for the food. Our server never approached us until I requested the bus boy to bring us the check. The server at that time dropped off the check and said Happy Mother's Day. Imagine my surprise to find out that the coffee was not part of the cost and was $7.00 a cup!

But definately some rough edges... Could easily get to 4 stars. Great design / colors, but hard surfaces make it cold and loud. Service was slow at 5 pm on a Sat... Perhaps they were short staffed in the kitchen? Fish and pasta dishes were excellent. All of our salads and main courses were very good. Cheese antipasto had the equivalent of Wispride port wine cheese spread? Really? The Grana Padana was hard as a rock...but the hot Sopressata was terrific! A little more training and supervision in the front of the house could go a long way to make this place great!

I have been to Arugula about 20 times and enjoyed introducing others to the spot. Friday night was hopefully just a one time bad night. Appetizer:crab salad, literally one crab lump. Dinner- veal, no flavor was using the black pepper on the table to give it taste. Dessert-gelato with espresso and biscotti, this was a complete liquid when I got it with mushy biscotti clumps. Please use a iced espresso next time, it was just gross to see. Table next to us also disappointed with their meal. Hope it was just a bad night and not a sign of the future.

Our reservation was for 8:30pm. After we ordered, some tables were leaving, about 3-4 tables were in the dining room. Once our dinners came out, the waitress said "oh take your time", but all of the servers made us feel anything but that, cleaning glasses, cleaning under tables next to us, moving tables, setting up what looked like brunch, the lights were turned up bright. There was nothing relaxing about dinner at all. We were getting an obvious hint to hurry up & leave, I have somewhere to go!! I felt disgusted, that customers that like to eat later are treated this way. We are paying the same amount as another guest who has dinner at 7:00. They need to clean up & move tables after their guests are finished dinner.

We were lucky to have the table in the center with the big chairs. Love those chairs! We were 3 couples, they other 2 couples had dined here previously. Start with the good: appetizers were very good. The calamari and the pork were delicious. Believe it or not the arugula salad was just ok which was a surprise. Everyone really enjoyed their entrees. I had the filet and I have to say the flavor was great, the potatoes were great but the meat itself I found to be on the tough side which was also a surprise. Back to the good, the desserts were really good. Also high favor with it being a BYOB. The noise level is very very loud. Very hard to keep a conversation at the table without yelling at each other.

Overall, the night was fantastic. From booking the reservation, to being seated without the hassle of a wait time, to the entire server/customer experience. Our server, Antonio, was incredible. He was helpful but did not hover. He gave us plenty of time to talk & rather than constintanly ask us if we were ready, he paid attention to our body language & signs as to when we requires his services. He was a truly incredible server. On that note, the meals were exquisite but the portion sizes were much too small for the price. When I'm able to take half or quarter of the entree home with me, to eat for another day; the I'm a happy man/custumor who's guarenteed to return.

Great lobster bisque and beautifully presented salad. We both has seafood (barrumundi and wolffish), followed by the lemon cake and cannoli, all good. It is BYOB, so bring a bottle to accompany your meal. Parking can require patience as we arrived when parents were picking up their children from The dance studio, using restaurant parking. A pleasant dining experience.

The food is vastly overpriced. The restaurant is in a strip center with windows overlooking parking spaces. The food itself was good but no better than other Italian restaurants we had visited. Everything is extra- soup, salad, any sides. The portions were small even for my wife who is a light eater.

This neighborhood gem is the perfect place for a creative meal with an Italian flair. The food choices make it hard to pick just one and their weekly menu of 3 for $30 you can't go wrong. The food portions are great and the specials are fantastic. I travel to this area several times a month and have made this restaurant my must go stop. If it wasn't for open table I am not sure I would of found this gem. The staff is fantastic making sure you are pleased with everything that is presented to you......shout out to Kelly and Paul who I am happy to be my servers almost every time. My fiancé and I had a wonderful experience at Arugula. I had been there once before, but this was his first time. Surprisingly, when we arrived for our reservation we realized it was restaurant week. We did have a slight wait for our table, but the hostess brought out wine glasses so that we could open our wine and have a glass while we waited. The food, as always, was incredible. We were so full that we took our dessert home to enjoy later! Our waitress Kelly was incredible and extremely pleasant. We cannot wait for our next visit!

Everyone was very happy with the food. Our server was very good and we did not feel that we waited for anything...eleven though every table was full. The noise level is very high...so do not go there expecting a quiet romantic dinner. Go there for a good food and nice presentation. Would definitely go there again. I have never seen jumbo lump crabmeat as large as the crabmeat that was on my veal dish. Also, the lobster bisque was excellent and the sauces are good. There were 4 in our party....we all ordered different dishes with different sauces and they were all very good. I would recommend this neighborhood restaurant to anyone that enjoys good food and does not mind bringing their own wine.

Al;though we have been to Arugula many times, it was the first time we brought close friends with us. It was wonderful and because they loved it so much, we have booked another dinner with out of town friends for the end of March. The lobster bisque was especially notable and piping hot when served. Our server was such a pleasure that we've asked for her again when we return. EVery member of our party, one gluten free, raved about their entree. We are so pleased to have this BYOB gem in our neighborhood. The one drawback is the noise level. On a Saturday night with all tables full, it is hard to have a conversation without speaking loudly.
