Overall, we were not impressed. Starting with a rude waiter. The grilled octopus was ok, a little chewy to be honest. We ordered the braised short ribs which were pretty good and the $50 ribeye for two. At least half of the steak was complete fat, I understand marbelization of steak.... This was pure fat. I wouldn't serve this steak to my cat. When we pointed it out to the waiter, he rudely said "what do you want me to do about it?" I was pretty surprised at that responce. We asked him to wrap everything up and to bring the check and agreed we would never go there again.

Majolica is the best suburban restaurant and rivals the best restaurants in Center City Philadelphia. We had great meal the other night. The food is delicious, the expanded menu has a diverse choice of interesting small and large plates and the desserts were yummy. Not that many restaurants can retain their high quality over the years, in fact, Majolica has gotten better and better. Add to that it is a BYOB and you have a reasonable bill for a wonderful dining experience!

The oysters at Majolica are THE BEST. They are so fresh and Andrew makes the best minoionette that I have ever had it is always PERFECT. The Duck Breast was excellent cooked to perfection. I guess it would be easier to say that in the 5+ years that we have been going here there is not a thing that I had that was bad. This is our favorite restaurant.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2011
    Dined on 12/21/2011
The only place in the world that we consistently anticipate returning to as we are leaving, dining at Majolica is a singular special experience. On this occasion we had the 6 course tasting menu which we absolutely recommend. It allows the chef to prepare what he's in the mood to prepare most and it gives us the flavor of Majolica's amazing profile. Speaking of flavor, we were treated to incredible creations of chilled octopus salad, monkfish and spare rib, all of which were amazing dishes that we would order ala carte. Service is always top notch and last evening was no exception. To mix it up we brought a variety of Sly Fox beers instead of wine.

I had heard about this place over the past few years and have always wanted to try it out. I decided it would be a great BYOB to bring my husband to for his birthday. Majolica was cozy, the staff was very friendly, and the food was terrific! We had the scallops and pork belly board as a starter, my husband had the beet salad and I had the butternut squash soup, which was the best I've ever had! The cucumber sorbet was palate cleansing and refreshing. My husband really enjoyed the Arctic char and I loved my duck entree. For dessert he had the nutella crepes (so good!) and I had the hazelnut cake with dark cherry paste. I can't wait to go back again!

We went to Majolica for a romantic Saturday night dinner after a hectic few weeks. We had the tasting menu - there is only one word for it - fabulous!!! The service was friendly and well timed - we had 8 courses, although it seemd like more. The small portions meant that we were never overfaced or full. The star courses were scallops with pork belly, arctic char, beet salad with tongue. Thank you Andrew; your restaurant is the star of the excellent Phoenixville dining scene. 3 more words - we'll be back!

Imaginitive offerings presented in a satisfying, attractive manner. Fried rosemary with one of the pasta dishes showed some real flair. Second visit following a very expensive visit when they first opened. Prices are lower than they were then, but they used to be quite expensive so now I'd say the price point is about right. The atmosphere was very nice. Service was very friendly but inconsistent. One of our party didn't have a napkin, bread was brought without olive oil, and when coffee was served there was no cream. The artic char entree was appetizer size. It was, however, cooked beautifully. Shortribs were good but served in bowls which eating difficult. The dessert was a standout. Coffee pot de creme with delicious little warm beignets.

The menu was interesting, with a number of small plates for tasting. The culinary experience was surprisingly very good even with all of the rave reviews. My only recommendation would be to work on the mood of the restaurant. Realizing the size of the space is limited, it would be better if seating was not up to the front door. Perhaps a partition would be helpful - especially when the winter chill is upon us. Another suggestion would be to invest in better background music. Overall we had a pleasant evening!

The atmosphere is warm, inviting and there is enough space between the tables you never feel like you are eating with the table next to you. I eat dinner here routinely, but this was my first brunch. Amazing deal- 3 courses of fabulous food for just $28. The portions were generous, and it is a great way to sample the menu and restaurant specialties.
