My title pretty much says it all...YUM!! We LOVE Elm . it is consistently great. The food is so finely prepared and imaginative without being contrived. My husband is a vegetarian and while most restaurants offer vegetarian options, they generally fall short and leave me feeling a little guilty (I am not a veg). The staff is very nice although as regulars we really have not gotten to "know" the staff or met the chef which we always enjoy and I feel it adds something to any place you frequent. The halibut with the curry sauce is TO DIE FOR as is the English Pea sachetti (?) . We are not dessert people but the little bite of the complimentary chocolate given with the check is a delightful finish and of course we can't say no ;)

This was a great meal, good service, very nice ambiance. Sadly, we couldn't bring out-of-town guests because we were told there were no tables earlier than 8:30 pm. A quick check of the restaurant both early (6:45) and later (8:30) showed plenty of tables. Wish we could have enjoyed this place with them!

The chef created vegan dishes for us that were eye appealing and delicious. He check with us while we were dining to make sure we were satisfied..... He was very open to creating food that would meet our diet needs and so pleasant with inquiry. The decor of ELM is very appealing to us too. Thanks for an outstanding dining experience.

We had heard so many great reviews about elm from our friends that we were somewhat worried that our expectations were a bit too high to meet, in this case they exceeded them and really blew us away! The food was absolutely delicious, unique and presented with a real flair, unlike any other place that we have been outside of Manhattan. The soft shell crab was the best I have ever had and the foie gras was over the top, the pasta selection was exquisite, we had half portions and left room for the suckling pig and halibut, which were stellar! Service was just right, our server Andrea had a real charm about him and made us feel at home. We can't wait to return!

My husband and I took our 4 kids out for brunch to Elm. We were able to have a great big table, in front by the windows. The hostess was so sweet, and had coloring books and crayons handy, she also recommended that I sign the kids up for their "Little Foodies" program. We ordered a bunch of different things off the menu, the kids loved the french toast, and potatoes. My husband ordered the burger, and loved it! the combinations of flavors worked so well together. I ordered the frat-ta and kale Caesar salad, they were both perfectly seasoned and the veggies were fresh and cooked to perfections. I highly recommend this restaurant for families, it may not look it but it is very kid friendly. Plus great cocktails and food for grown ups!

After hearing great reviews from friends, my wife and I decided to try Elm for our anniversary dinner. We chose to sit outside, it was a gorgeous night, and their patio is set up nicely. We were greeted with complimentary champagne, as they knew it was our anniversary. Our waiter was very knowledgeable on the menu and wine list, and made a great recommendation on a bottle of wine. We decided to do the tasting menu, so we could get the full experience, and we were blown away by every dish. They were able to accommodate my wife's gluten allergy, which meant I got to try a couple different options than what i received. Desert was my favorite part, the chocolate and cherries desert was very rich and so delicious I highly recommend it!!

We had wanted to eat at Elm for a long time and found a perfect occasion for our anniversary, which event was mentioned in our reservation. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with "Happy Anniversary" greetings and, to our surprise, with 2 glasses of champagne at dinner. Appetizers of soft shell crab and "fritto misto" (tempura fried vegetables) were great, and the maine halibut and Elmburger each were perfection. Service was prompt and professional as should be expected at this caliber of restaurant. While the restaurant was almost full, it was not overly noisy and we could converse without shouting. We concluded that our meal was one of our best in recent memory and look forward to going back soon.

Booked for brunch before tour of The Glass House. Lovely design and ambiance. Immediately offered complimentary mimosas and small basket of muffins and biscuits. Meal nosedived soon thereafter. My wife opted for the "eggs any style" entree and requested cheese with it. Both she and I specifically told the server twice that she did not want the frittata, which was the other egg entree. I ordered blueberry pancakes. When the food arrived, my wife received a frittata and I received a single pancake with blackberries on top. How do you not have blueberries at the height of the season? Who serves not only a single pancake, but the first one, which is never good? When we re-ordered, food was okay, but our expectations were not met.

We had a terrific meal at Elm Friday. The ambiance is sleek, clean lines with a city feel. The service was friendly and inviting. The staff is very professional and we loved the bartender while we sat and enjoyed a cocktail before sitting down for dinner. I recommend the Chef's counter if there are two of you for dinner. Once again we returned to Elm for a special occasion and were not disappointed. I had the tasting menu for the second time in a row, and its mix of inventive delicious dishes was a winner, thru and thru. The rest of my party, foodies all, loved their exquisitely prepared dishes, from simple salads to outrageous tortellini. Brian Lewis is one of the finest chefs operating in America today. The wait staff is knowledgeable and personable, with a good humor not usually found in stuffy restaurants, and they make the evening a great deal of fun.

Only negative was the very slow service. We came on a Tuesday night when the restaurant was not crowded and it took over an hour before our main course was served. Forget about ordering a drink or anything else , it took at least 15 minutes to get our waitress's attention and then another 15 minutes to finally get the drink!

Let me begin by saying that this is the first time I've taken the time to write a review. I am doing so because we had such a spectacular brunch experience. The food was absolutely delicious and the service spectacular. I know the restaurant had gotten some negative feedback when they first opened because of indifferent service but that all seems to be a thing of the past. Our server accidentally brought out something I did not order and they bent over backwards to make it right. Crayons & coloring for the kids added to the welcoming vibe. Prices for the brunch are extremely reasonable for this type of setting and a great way to sample the Elm experience. Great job.

The tagliatelle pasta was wonderful too--just the right bit of spice. Portion of pasta was large. Halibut not huge--but quality was amazing. Special place---there aren't many menus like this around.

We had the chef's tasting menu and found all courses to be both creative and tasty, from the crispy tuna to the foie gras cappelletti to the toasted coconut merengue with passion fruit curd and coconut sorbet. Based on previous reviews I anticipated that the portions would be small - and they were - but as long as you don't show up starving you can leave satisfied. I would definitely go back.

Elm has great food; some (including me) might be concerned by the portion sizes, but the food was fantastic. seems to be the current dichotomy of better establishments-women are content with a small amount of great food; men need a bit more. And the European-style flushers are worth a trip!

Food was really very good. Service was pretty good but the waiter srt of did what he wanted to do rather than what we wanted. The restaurant was less busy than I expected. Not sure if that was because it was Sunday evening. But I think the menu is a little too fussy and a little too expensive for the suburbs. They have all the right ingredients just needs a little more focus.

We went on a Sunday dinner so the menu selections were more limited but what we had was superbly prepared, visually pleasing and delicious. Creative approaches to traditional ingredients. As good as the food was, the service was, if anything, better. The relatively compact wine list covers all the bases with an interesting selection of wines by the glass. The only thing missing was a good Cru Beaujolais which would have been a perfect choice with our varied entrees, one person had chicken, the other fish. I will return.

Great for a date, romantic evening, or if you just want some great food. We sat next to the kitchen and watched the cooking. The chef and staff all talked to us while they were cooking and came out to speak to us often. Answered all the questions we had. I had the beat salad (great flavors) and parpadello w duck confit (very good) followed by rhubarb crisp (amazing). She had asparagus (very flavorful), halibut in a curry sauce (yum), and bread pudding. They provide plenty of extra small dishes complimentary along the way including a Pre dessert of graham crackers pineapple and vanilla Ice cream that was out standing. Definitely will come back. Super friendly chef.
