Really fun, but very expensive! Food is not the tops, but a good menu and a reasonable effort in the kitchen.

Initially I was excited to visit this restaurant with my boyfriend. I made a reservation and arrived on time however we had to wait to be seated and I felt like I wasted my time making reservation being that others walked right up and was seated right away. When we finally got a table the restaurant was cold and I asked to sit next to the front door where it was warmer and the hosted said no. The space was very crammed and I had to shout when speaking to my boyfriend. After we received our appetizers a floor manager came and asked my boyfriend to get out of his seat and moved our table to the corner against the wall while I was still sitting down. He didnt ask us if we wanted to move or ask if it was okay. Horrible service! Avg. Food.

This was a great spot to introduce Saint Petersburg to a potential citizen. We sat outside in the cool evening air and enjoyed a nice bottle of wine. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding.

This was our second time back to Tryst, really to give it one more chance since the first time wasn't all that great. They succeeded in every way! Our waitress was perfect, gave us just the right amount of attention without hovering and offered drinks and entrees that were as good or better than she described! The portions were ideal, the flavors bountiful and we had a wonderful time. I highly recommend Tryst. We will definitely be returning!

The food was very good, wine list so-so and my first pick they were out of. Server was not very knowledgeable on wines. I would rate this a medium experience mostly because we had never been there before and was not aware we would be outside. It was cold and we were not prepared for that.

Tryst has a great location on busy Beach Drive. The outside tables are very inviting on a nice evening. Inside is nicely decorated and has a fun vibe. We were there just at opening, and the service had a little trouble getting into gear. But after a bit of a confusing start, things started to gel and they did a good job. The food was delicious. Standouts were the corn chowder, the duck breast appetizer, and the scallop appetizer. The food is very rich and filling. So those items plus a salad and another appetizer were more than enough for two of us. We would have been fine sharing the chowder, the salad, and an appetizer each. The drinks were also very good. Our favorite was the signature “Tryst” cocktail. I look forward

Way to go, Tryst! We arrived on a Wednesday night and expected it to be semi-quiet. Instead they had live music (piano and a live singer) and the place was packed. It was a great evening. The food and service were excellent, too!

Food is outstanding... The only negative was service. It was not our server.... He was doing the best he could do. I believe it was a staffing problem.

This is the first of the genre of "Gastro Lounge" to enlighten the Tampa Bay area. The vibrant atmosphere is actually exceeded by the quality and presentation of the food. A complete home run! The only drawback (and one which is common to the Beach Drive scene) is the very high noise level. The trendy decor unfortunately does nothing to dampen sound in a small narrow building. If one can pass up the opportunity or need for quiet, romantic conversation, Tryst is the place to go.

I went to Tryst for lunch, and it was very good. Phillipe was our server, and did his best to take great care of us and to accomodate our requests. The lunch menu was nice, I would have liked more variety, but the food was good. I will come back for dinner, as it looks like a nice romantic spot for a date with my wife. I was put off by the fact that the second margarita I ordered was in a different type of glass, and was not consitent in taste with the first, which was great. But, the restaurant just opened and I'm sure they will work out all the bugs. I will definetely come back and give Tryst another shot. I recommend you do the same. Best Regards.
