This was the first time I had been here and would love to come back in the summer for what appears to be great outdoor seating. The pizza was excellent, salad fresh and according to all who had them the potato skins were also good. Great place for children due to its laid back atmosphere

This was a great place for a pizza lunch for a big group (12 of us). We sat in the glass terrace. The sun was shining and the area was quiet so we could have easy conversation among our group. The pizzas were delicious and we all had a great time.

  • Normally a great restaurant,

Normally a great restaurant, but do not go for special occasions. We had a lunch with a surprise dessert for a birthday. She's vegan, so I brought the dessert, and put a message in my reservation about it. I also called the restaurant about it and was told there's a $5 per person cutting charge. I gave the pie to the host and explained the situation. After lunch, the waitress asked if we wanted dessert and went to ring up our check. I ran after her and she had NO idea there was a dessert. Then when they brought it out, instead of one piece per person, they cut it completely and put two pieces on each plate. It was ugly and ridiculous. The "surprise" wasn't a surprise at that point, we were all VERY disappointed, and late getting to work. :(

We were excited to find this place but the food we ordered was pretty bad and our server was awful. Luckily there were other staff members wandering around who would fill our water, take our empty dishes, and check on our food. We ordered moonstone soup which was nice and hot but nothing special. A basket if homemade chips that were cold and covered in kraft powdered parmesan cheese. My child's chicken tenders were good and the best part of our meal. I was happy the had covered cups for him too. My chicken parm was just ok but it was barely warm, and my husband said his wings were also, lukewarm and were the worst he had ever had. Given the price we would not return.

We made reservations at 5:30 for 10 before the Capital Steps show on a Saturday night. The restaurant was not crowded at that time and we were able to stand around our table and chat for a while before sitting down. The menu is varied and everyone was very pleased with their selection. The prices were very reasonable and having two hours before the show allowed us to order and eat at our leisure.

This was a birthday luncheon and there were 3 of us celebrating. We were seated quickly after arriving. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu items. I had a small Caesar salad which was just fine. The three of us shared the Carribean wings as an appetizer and it was quite good. We had the following pizzas, ranch buffalo chicken pizza, veggie pizza, & meat lovers pizza, and everyone was happy with their pizza, everything was tasty enough. We finished off by sharing a tiramisu and the waiter realized it was my birthday so it came with a lighted candle which was very nice touch. Overall, I would recommend this for lunch and maybe dinner.

Average italian food. My friends ordered the paninis which are small- think hot dog bun size; they said they were tasty though but not filling enough. The place was quiet on a Tuesady evening, slow stream of people coming in. The waitress was good bringing us water but it was difficult to get their attention when someone else joined our party 45 minutes after we got there. A good place to catch up with friends, not a place to be wowed by the food.

Aria has consistently had poor service. The reception is never ready for reservations, service is slow and often inept; happy hour service is particularlly poor. But for those of us working in the Reagan Building, it is awfully convenient, and eating outside under the canopy in the shade, even when it is hot out, is quite pleasant. The food isn't going to win any awards, but it is reasonably priced and not at all scary. I'm surprised Aria has never figured out how to do a good happy hour, with such a captive and potentially much bigger clientele.

When we arrived, our table was not ready and the host looked quite flustered. I don't even think that they knew there was a reservation. The food was good. The music was too loud and it was difficult to talk to the people at our table. The food was good and game out quickly. The waitress did a good job even though it was really crowded and they were not prepared for the crowds.

We chose to dine at Aria before seeing the Capitol Steps at the Ronald Reagan Building. What a great choice this turned out to be! Park in the RR Building after 5 pm and Aria will validate your parking. We were running late due to heavy traffic driving in from MD, The staff went out of their way to accommodate us and get our dinners served in time. Our server was wonderful, I'm sorry I can't recall her name. Food was delicious, and the menu had many options, and the prices were very reasonable.

Great location but horrible food, service and expensive. We had the chicken parmigiana and sauce tasted like canned/bottled. My child had the chicken fingers and it is served with just a piece of bread. I was also given a menu no longer in circulation - a year ago. Don't waste your money eating here.

Best thing about this eatery is the location - a few steps from the Metro, parking garages for others and quite proximal to the museums. The wine list was extremely limited. The pizza was nothing special at all - conferred among our group and the neighboring tables we became friendly with. Canned mushrooms at a D.C. pizzeria?

Aria is very conveniently located along Pennsylvania Avenue, which is the basis for my recommendation. Our food was good, the portions were generous and a decent value. There are good menu options for kids. We did not try the pizza, and I feel as though we should return and order the pizza in order to really understand how good Aria is. Service was friendly, but not very focused, as our appetizer order was lost and not filled until after we received our entrees. The restaurant has a nice outdoor dining area, which does not front to the street, keeping the noise level down.

Overall experience was good- nothing more, nothing less. Service was ok. The waitress took all orders at the table except mine. She collected the bill from another table before coming back to take my order. It was just odd. We waited a reasonable amount of time for drinks & food except my bf who never got his tea. I had the pizza & it was ok. Much better than Dominos, but by no means great if you are a pizza snob. I ordered an appetizer salad, which came out with the pizza. The atmosphere was nothing special. We were seated at 3 tables pushed together, but they weren't level with one another. I'd go back again bc they have decent prices for DC, none of these issues were significant (but nothing was impressive), & happy hour lasts till close
