We have been to Betty's Nosh on a few occasions and every time has been wonderful. We lucked out and made a reservation at the end of the night, to celebrate our anniversary. Being that it was toward the end of the evening, we had the place to ourselves! The service was spot on and the food was delicious, like always. My husband swears by their special mushroom soup and I on the their ever changing wine list. What a quaint little get away from the big commercial chomp spots...Thanks Betty's for a wonderful anniversary date night!!

Dee, our wait staff, was extremely plesant and helpful in explaining the different areas of the menu. We are not big eaters, so the portion sizes were fine. Although I felt that the price for two mushrooms was a bit high at the regular price, but Dee stated we are at Happy Hour prices. We selected the spinach & cheese and beef & blue cheese.mushrooms. Both were well presented and very tasety. We recommended this restaurant to our childern.

We were there about two weeks ago on Thurs. It was great. Sent five more a week later. They loved it. We were told that the breakfast was great. We were not as pleased. The first group of four and second group of five all went for breakfast on Sunday. We felt that the food was okay but not great. The menu was hard to figure out and the pricing options were out of line. You do not compare with Bobbies for breakfast. We will not be back for breakfast. But we will bring more for your Thurs night. Regards, Tom Skoog 623-742-8520

Certainly it did not help that my wife fell after slipping on wet concrete from over watered plants outside the door of the restaurant - however I helped her up, saw she was not hurt and we went in. The hostess asked if she was all right, which was pleasant, but that she had seen the tumble and should have shown initiative and come to provide help rather than just looking. We attended for brunch and the variety was very limited - eggs or waffles with a meat or other sides. If you don't like eggs, don't go here. The meals were OK, but the service was poor. Our server was pleasant enough, however drink orders were not fulfilled and the omeletes we ordered were not with the right filling. A waste of time on a beautiful Sunday morning

Not overly impressed. The wife and I wanted to give it a try for az restaurant week since we live only 10 min away. The mushrooms - we had the angry shrimp and south of the border - were decent. For the entrees, the steak was underseasoned and the chicken Marsala seemed really sweet. Thought it was odd that the pineapple upside down had coconut and the cake was dry too, maybe since it was gluten-free? For what we paid, $30 per person + $6 extra glass of wine for total of $82 incl tip, the value just wasn't there.

Stay with the house specialty. We liked the feel of the restaurant and would try it again. Their specialty mushrooms were very good and I would order them again and again. The portions are large sized. The salmon was very good. I could not recommend any of the steaks. The New York Strip or Top Sirloin were both a little tough and had plenty of fat through out the meat. We felt the service was slow, which was expected after reading the reviews, and and the waitress was not attentive. We had to call the for the manager because we seldom saw our waitress who could not get the order correct. She even charged the bill incorrect. The live music was just the right volume. They also sang a nice variety of music from different decades.

We came here for the Arizona Restaurant week special and it was AMAZING! The food is absolutely delicious, even the gluten free options. I'm so glad I found a nice place that offers gluten free options and doesn't charge extra for them. The time between the three courses was a little long, but the staff was extremely busy and our waitress was very nice and attended to our needs.

Went during restaurant week. I loved the concept of having a stuffed mushroom bar! This was the highlight of the visit, and If I did go back it woould be just for hte mushroom bar. Mine were stuffed with short rib and blue cheese and my hsuband got spicy shrimp, both excellent. The entrees were just OK. Generous portions of steak au poivre and chicken marsala, but the steak was a bit over peppered (I know that's what we ordered, but...) and the chicken was a bit too sweet. The banana Baily's mousse was awesome and my pineapple upside down cake was OK. I'd like to go back as I said for more mushrooms and somre really good looking stuffed pasta we saw going out of hte kitchen.

We picked this restaurant as our 1st venue for AZ restaurant week. I had the salmon on a bed of mashed potatoes with fresh vegetables & my husband had the steak with mushrooms & mashed potatoes. The steak was marinated in brandy. Yum, this was sooo delicious. I had the mushroom soup for my appetizer & my husband had the 2 mushroom caps filled with shrimp that was marinated in tequila. For dessert I had the banana mousse, which is not at all what I expected. I expected slices of bananas in a mousse - their dessert was SO much better... just to die for. So GOOD! My husband had the peanut butter cheese cake which was also very good but, I'm not a peanut butter lover. . Will go again soon.

A wine and mushroom bar is a great idea with the food to match. However, after my second visit to this restaurant there seems to be a pattern of very slow service. The management needs to focus their attention toward training the service and wait staff. 15 minute wait for coffee and dessert is a no-no. A long wait for a water fill up is a no-no. The idea of the restaurant is great. The food is great. The ambiance is great but the service needs to improve.

Tried to take my mother there for Mother's day but it was booked a week in advance so I took her the night before. We loved it. So for Fathers Day my children took me there. We booked our reservation for 3pm. We got there and the place was empty. Guess moms are loved more than dads. lol The whole time we felt rushed. Finally we learned why.... turns out they were closing the kitchen at 4pm. The waitress kept telling us to get our orders in to the kitchen before it closes and rushing around. We just felt like we were an inconvenience that day. While I was surprised they were closing the kitchen so early on Fathers Day, I still felt like that shouldn't matter....it was MY day as a father . Disappointing/ food still amazing.

The last time we were there for late night dining with friends on the weekend, the food and service were subpar. We sat there for about 15 minutes before anyone came over to take our drink order. When we finally did get to place our food orders, they were out of some of the menu items. In the past, we enjoyed going here and sitting out on the patio for dinner and drinks when the weather was nice but we haven't been back since. We no longer recommend Betty's to our friends as we did before. Disappointing.

Alas we were quite disappointed. Betty's has several unique concepts that intrigue one to go there, yet they did not flow together to make the dining experience enjoyable. The menu was so tempting and as I said, one wants to fall in love, but things were so disorganized and chaotic there was little to embrace. To top it off we sat for almost an hour before our food arrived, never asked if we wanted an appetizer, not even a crumb of bread (that did finally come with our mushrooms). I will not recommend Betty's.

We arrived on time. With a reservation. We were informed that the only space available was out on the patio. The server gave us the impression that she was too busy to bother with us. We had planned to have dinner, and arrived in time for happy hour, hoping to take advantage of drink or appetizer specials. The server was apologetic about the ridiculous wait time for drinks and our appetizer choice to arrive. By the time we got our drinks and appetizers, we decided that we didn't want to hang around for another hour while they took and prepared a dinner order, so we cut our losses and left. Very disappointed.

I have been to Betty's several times, have recommended it to others, have hashtagged it on social media, and have bought gift certificates. I'm a fan and a loyal customer. About a month ago, I made a reservation for one person for Mother's Day Brunch. When I arrived, I was told I had to take a seat at the bar. I explained that I hadn't made a reservation for the bar, but the hostess explained "the computer put you at the bar." Well, let's be honest--the computer didn't put me at the bar. Some manager decided all the single diners had to sit at the bar and not take up valuable table space. The most galling thing was that there were at least five two-top tables that remained empty the entire time I was perched uncomfortably at the bar.
