I was taking friends from out-to-town to some Woodinville wineries. We ended a lovely day with an outstanding dinner at The Barking Frog. The food was really fabulous, the vibe was very Pac Northwest, great food without any pretention.

My husband and I celebrated our 16th Wedding Anniversary here and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was inviting and our server Kristen was very attentive. We will retun again. The food was exceptional as well as the presentation. The only down side was the noice level.

Fortunately, we were in no hurry to eat, as it took over an hour for us to be seated despite having reservations. The manager was genuinely apologetic for the situation and comped us a couple of horderves. The horderves were certainly the highlight of our meal. Our entrees on the other hand, were a big disappointment. The menu is surprisingly sparse, and my wife ordered duck, in the absence of any sort of chicken selection. The duck was tough, and virtually uneatable. My scallop dish was okay, however, the accompanying couscous medley was far too complex and overpowering. With so many excellent restaurant choices in the world, it’s safe to say, we will not be returning to the Barking Frog.

My wife, one of her friends and I enjoyed a birthday dinner at the Barking Frog. We've been there a handful of times over the years and always enjoyed it. And true to form, the food was fantastic - we share the prawn appetizer - always a favorite, as well as the duck special (my favorite), the salmon and the ahi tuna. All three had unique preparations with the main course that enhanced the meal itself. The only problem this evening was the noise level in the restaurant. I hadn't noticed it being a problem before but this night, we felt we were almost yelling at each other to keep the conversation going....with the summer season approach and the patio doors opening, I feel certain this issue will go away.

We decided to try The Barking Frog for our anniversary. Everything we had was nothing short of amazing. We shared the prawns which were delicious!! And I got the halibut which was the best halibut I've ever had. Seriously so good. My husband had the scallops which he said were fantastic. We sat outside in a beautiful night. Overall a great experience. They even have us an anniversary card with all their signatures on it. So nice. Will definitely go back.

We traveled from Poulsbo, Washington to celebrate our 24th anniversary by having lunch at the Barking Frog. The restaurant had been highly recommended to us by friends. After strolling the grounds and enjoying the beautiful raised bed vegetable garden, we had a fabulous lunch including dessert. The food and experience were memorable. We are so glad our friends knew of this great destination in wine country. To complete the day, we took a long walk along the Samammish River Trail which one of the staff recommended to us and was very nearby. All in all, a great experience.

The experience was very disappointing from entering the restaurant to the moment we left. The ambience is nothing special- average at best. The tables are tiny and very close to each other with no table cloth. We waited a long time for a waiter to come. The mussels appetizer was good and the best of all the meals we ordered. Enough to share for 2. I ordered side of french fries that were forgotten, they came late and taken off the check, but still not what you expect from an expensive restaurant. The service was a bare minimum. I order scallops for $32 and literary got 3 scallops. The rabbit my husband ordered was very bland. Do not waist your money! No atmosphere, bad service, not a romantic and the food may be good but not worth the $.

I was super excited to eat brunch here for a girls day out. I made a reservation, but still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated and was also asked a couple times if we were waiting for a table. I was confused since I had just spoken to her and it wasn't even busy. Our server was nice, the food pretty good, but we were there 2.5 hours from start to finish just because everything took forever. It was a beautiful day out and not in any big hurry, but there about an hour too long since we had wineries to visit! So, I would maybe dine there again if I really didn't care how long it took, but not anytime soon.

This was my 1st time at The Barking Frog we will definitely back. Everything the waitress, food, staff, Atmosphere was in my book worth the drive from Gig Harbor. Not only was our experience awesome the waitress overheard me tell my husband how much I loved the bread and sundried tomato w/ capers spread and she had a plate sent to our room at the Willows Lodge next door with a card telling it was her treat after our concert we had gone to.

The Barking Frog did an outstanding job recognizing our 25th anniversary! We have gone here many times and this was the best all around experience we have had. We haad the pork chop and halibut. Both were done perfectly! As always, the Grand Marnier shrimp appetizer was incredible!!! Lastly, we had a special chocolate dessert that finished off our meal so well! Service as always was outstanding. I had called to make special arrangements for our anniversary and we were surprised to see rose pedals at our table with a nice note from the staff. Strongly recommend for a special evening! Thank you again to the staff!

Dinner last Friday, party of 4. Everyone was thrilled and happy - except me. That was because 1) I never got the fries I ordered (they took it off of the bill) but more importantly 2) the pork chop I got was pretty much inedible. You would think for $33 they would do a better job of selecting their meats. This chop was shot through with gristle front to back and side to side. There was really no way to cut out any parts that I could eat.

It was my first time and I'll definitely go back there. The service was good, the food incredible, the menu very flexible: I built my own combination and that's what caught my liking at the end. The only if is that my table wasn't ready when I got there even with a 24h in advance reservation.

We got out bellies full of delectable goodness. The portions were filling for rich, well prepared courses and we left ready for a nap. I wanted to treat my husband for his birthday and he thoroughly enjoyed everything from the setting, to the appetizers to the main course and even dessert...which is something we don't normally indulge. Food was well prepare, beautifully presented and best of all delicious. We had a little stall in between our appetizers and salad but we opted to use that time to soak in the atmosphere and each others company. We both agreed we would go again but only on special occasions as you will spend more than normal, but the Barking Frog's cuisine is anything but normal

This was my first visit to the Barking Frog. We sat outside on their beautiful patio. The only reason I gave the service 3 stars was because our server seemed to forget about our drinks and the service seemed a little slow. We ended up having to ask where our deinks were. I had the beet salad which was very good. A little small on the small side, certainly not enough to share between 2 people. For dinner, I had the Halibut. One of the best preparations I have ever had. The sear on the top was amazing. Highly recommend you order this! We will definitely be back!

The dining experience was above average with the breakfast burrito outstanding! All the staff were above average, friendly and attentive. The only downside was the noise. There has been no attempt to absorb the noise with hangings, tapestries, etc. This was a special occasion for us but the noise of just normal activity made it almost impossible to have a normal conversation and forget about any intimate talk. The Noise Level rating does not allow a rater to full express an opinion.

The food here was just absolutely AMAZING. Wine list was extremely expansive and staff was knowledgable so it didn't feel overwhelming. We were there for lunch and sat outside which I would recommend. After eating, we each tried a dessert just for fun and oh-my-heavens... those blew my socks off. Never in my life have I eaten a dessert like that. It was incredible. It's been 3 days since I was there and I cannot stop thinking about it. Please try this restaurant and even if you're stuffed full at the end of your meal, get a dessert!!

The food at the Barking Frog is always great. The wine list is large with a special section for Woodinville wineries. The wine prices are also reasonable. The one quibble is that the dining room is always loud which makes it a poor choice for a quiet evening. All in all though it is a great restaurant.

My daughter and I went for dinner on Memorial Day for a special treat while the Men were away. We had a fabulous dinner! The Elk tartare appetizer was absolutely delicious and plenty for two to share. The beet salad was yummy and refreshing but the Salmon with smoked onion and chorizo sauce was fantastic! We also enjoyed the chocolate beet cake, not too sweet and rich like some chocolate desserts tend to be. For a cocktail, I highly recommend the "Corpse Reviver". The service could have been a bit more attentive, our waiter was very nice and helpful but seemed to be very busy, making times between his visits a bit too long. For Woodinville, it's a bit on the expensive side but when the food is on like it was for us, well worth it!

Not quite what I had in mind when I booked for a romantic dinner for two. The noise level made across the table conversation difficult at best. Food was excellent. Definitely a venue more suited to large groups or was it just that the carpet was missing. For the money I would have expected more.
